I made sure they changed it to morning. Also, I made sure to remind them that I do not have access to a hose or pressurized water source and they said that they had it in the notes. The tech showed up today and said no one told him there was no pressurized water source at my home and he would do his best to clean it by hand. It is unfair that I am asked to pay full price for service that won't be done the right way. I called and let them know the tech was unaware and the woman that answered the phone said it was in the notes and they were not sure why the tech was not informed. I asked for a discount and was just told a manager would get back to me. Very disappointed once again. Do better, guys.

We had the outside garage light short on the sharp edge of conduit and burn because it wasn't on a junction box. This was an electrical fire that luckily didn't spread and burn down the house. We then started looking at other electrical device wiring and we found many other problems. Jeff and EPS went out of their way to get a crew to our house ASAP even when they had plenty of other work and a full schedule. They quickly got the worst of the issues fixed and just came for the final time to finish everything else. The work was completed cleanly and professionally with building codes and safety in mind. I had 6 light fixtures replaced, 1 new light fixture added, 1 outlet installed, 3 outlets repaired or improved. Smith Maintenance was hired by my American Home Shield warranty to repair our AC unit in our…read moreapartment. We received their information and I called them to set up an appointment. When Maurice and his son arrived they diagnosed the issue right away. It turned out that we needed to replace the whole unit. They replaced both our AC and heating unit (one of which was on our roof on our three story building). Maurice is very knowledgable about our AC unit. He was very professional, explained everything to us, and took the time to make sure we understood. He answers all our questions and assures us that no question is a bad question. I like how he really wants to make sure we understand everything and we did ask a lot of questions and that they are a family run company. The whole process of replacing our units took about half the day. Unfortunately, we had issues with the unit from not enough free on to wiring misconnections. Maurice stayed in contact with me the whole time via text and phone calls. He was very patient with us and never displayed any frustration. He stayed with us the whole way to make sure everything got fixed. Whenever I called/texted him about the AC malfunctioning his team came over within a day. It took several visits to find out what was causing our AC unit to malfunction until they found that there was a connection between the thermostat and some type of 5th wire (a Venstar add a wire device) that needed to communicate to our Nest thermostat. After that was installed everything has been working great (knock on wood). All in all it was a good experience. Whenever I need to work with a contractor I know that it is my responsibility as well to do everything I can to make sure everything gets done right. I am a big communicator and Maurice always responded whenever I reached out for help. I have experienced many different maintenance companies and what I loved about Smith Maintenance is that they are responsible, accountable, and patient. What I loved about Maurice is that he is an expert in his field and knew every detail of our AC unit. If I were to give any advice to future customers based on my experience, I would recommend you to keep communicating with them through the whole process.
