    Drinks with a view

Nice open space with plenty of seating outdoors with views of downtown Greenville. The indoor area has games and tvs for guests to watch as they wait for drinks or even just to hangout. I love that you never feel crowded in W XYZ bar. It feels like a safe Covid hangout spot as well especially with the outdoor options. Bartenders are always super nice and professional and made us these cute drinks that aren't even on the menu - we just wanted something different so that was nice! Overall adorable hangout for socializing with friends and family with beautiful views of downtown.

This place was far better than we imagined. Pretty bar, beautifuk rooftop and killer drinks.

Granted, we were there on a weeknight, but this place just might be a little hidden gem. A bar is only as good as the person behind it making drinks, and we got a winner the night we went. He made me an old-fashioned that was every bit as good as those I get at Sazerac, and that's really saying something. The seating is a little odd, tough to find just a normal chair sitting around. Would be awesome to sit outside on the balcony, but the night we went it was closed because it was cold and raining.

Hip spot to imbibe and/or meet people in a central and upbeat locale. On the terrace there's a nice vibe, with comfy seats that overlook the peregrinations of people and cars below.... Friendly staff. Nice bar to just relax and sip and gab.

Drinks and live music. Great way to kill time before our dinner reservation. The singers were great!

Times Bar & Coffee Shop was easily one of our favorite stops in Asheville…read more We were visiting from Florida over the Fourth of July and stopped in for a couple of cocktails from the '90s-themed menu. Every recommendation was spot on--even the radish cocktail that I wasn't sure about at first! What really stood out was the hospitality. We spent some time chatting with who we believe were the owners, hearing the story behind the bar and talking about Asheville. Those conversations made the experience just as memorable as the drinks. If you happen to remember the two Florida ladies who stopped in for a bit, thank you for making us feel so welcome. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Asheville. Highly recommend!

The space itself is incredibly cool, featuring exposed concrete, a massive back bar, a vintage print shop sign, and my personal favorite--a disco ball chandelier. The bartenders were so welcoming and fantastic to chat with during our visit. They were running a super fun '90s throwback menu while we were there. If it's still available when you drop in, definitely try the "Last Time Lover" and "Smells Like Green Spirit." The Last Time Lover even came with a nostalgic butterfly clip holding a Spice Girls photo! If you're a cocktail fan, I highly recommend this spot. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Asheville.

Hearty, delicious and satisfying food in a low-lit, noisy environment…read more This was our first visit to Bull and Beggar. The restaurant's decor is eccentric - lots of taxidermied wildlife, cookbooks, and (from our vantage point in the loft) giant jars of Duke's mayonnaise - and the food is worth going back for. I had the steak frites, my husband tried the pork chop Milanese, and we shared the marmalade tart. My filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the accompanying sauce was silky smooth and addictive. The fries were salty, crispy perfection. My husband gave his pork chop high marks as well. I tried a bit of the sweet pea salad served with it, and I was suddenly 4 years old, following my mom through the garden and eating more peas than I dropped into my little basket. Fresh, pure summer. The marmalade tart was a great way to end the meal. Perfect balance of bitter and sweet. One caveat: This may not be the place if you're looking for an evening of quiet conversation. The room's acoustics bounced every sound off of every wall, and the resulting cacophony made it hard to hear each other or our very kind and efficient server at times.
