The bartender has a bad attitude and is rude! You could tell her bad vibes from the minute she looked at you. All she said was happy hour is 5-7 and gave my daughter and myself menus. We sat down... waiting... she's doing her make up at the bar. We are waiting.., a guy comes up and talks to her. After about 15 min, I walked over to ask how we can order. I guess you order at the bar; which is fine but you could have let us know instead of us waiting for 15 minutes. I asked about the Mac and cheese after we got It, because it does not say it is Kraft, it says cheddar sauce with parsley.. they gave us heated up Kraft Mac and cheese and added some parsley. The "heated up" great was cold but my daughter ate some, until she found HAIR in it! I told the bartender about the hair... not a word at all, handed me my bill. Not a sorry, oh because "it isn't my fault". I would never return to this hotel due to the bartender and the food. This bar is located in the lobby area of the Aloft hotel in Doral Miami. I am extremely happy that this was an option, and the area was very nicely set up. My partner and I really enjoyed trying all of the creative cocktails (all priced between $10-15), the lounge area, the pool tables, and being able to order food and enjoy appetizers (or bring outside food to enjoy). The bar service was subpar. The manager really tried to support everyone, but the bartenders could use some training and customer service support. The DJ was great! We enjoyed the music, yet- beware- he only played reggaeton and Spanish music. The area was well lit, beautifully decorated and I would definitely recommend the lounge to anyone in the area. My only caution is that if you're staying at the Aloft hotel, do not charge anything to your room. We are still getting random, non-descriptive charges three days later (rather than all at one). read more

I did not order any food. So I can't comment on it. There was no one in the place so not much to report for vibes or ambiance. The bar tender was very friendly I ordered and drink and took it to my room. So the service was quick. It's very odd that at 10:45 on a Friday night the place was completely empty. So I really can't report on much. It was not really "clean" stained seats and couches hence why I just took my drink back to my not so clean room. Kind of vibes with the hotels standards. This is one of my new favorite spots. If you have overlooked this location, you need to give it a shot! First off, they're dog friendly so they get brownie points. The downstairs area is cold, classy, and well decorated. Comfy couches and plenty of seating. Great for large groups because of the spacious indoor area and pool table! The best part? THE ROOF. Absolutely stunning. Came here during their $5 margarita specials and asked if we could go on the rooftop. Wow. Killer views of Delray, a rooftop bar (which unfortunately due to COVID is closed), and modern seating. It's like having your own VIP section of a hotel! It's been practically empty every time I have come, but I'm hoping once people start discovering this place it will gain popularity. Am I invisible? Just sat at the bar for over 30 mins watching the bartender serve customers, some twice, and never got asked what I wanted to order. I figured asking him what the happy hour was about would be a signal I'm ready to order, but apparently my 6'1 stature isn't easily seen to this man. Pretty creative name for a bar, huh? I checked this place out after work on a Friday, and ordered a couple items off the Cold and Hot sections of their food menu. The Seared Ahi Tuna Bites were the best. Pieces of seared tuna atop crispy wonton skins, topped with seaweed. They looked and tasted super appetizing! The sauce also nicely balanced out the overall flavor. Unfortunately, the other two Cold apps I tried were not as good. The Guacamole and Chips initially sounded promising but could use a bit of work. The guacamole could use a bit of salt/flavor and the plantain chips could have been a bit more crisp! Some of them were limp, which doesn't make for a good dipping experience, nor a good dining experience. The Smoked Salmon Canapés presented really nicely, but the salmon was so extremely salty that I wasn't able to bring myself to eat another piece. Though not the main part of this app, the bread and sauce were decent. The hot dish that I tried was the Shrimp Chaufa, which is Peruvian fried rice with shrimp. FYI, it came with three shrimp. This dish was decent. Since it came out at the same time as the apps, it was cold by the time I ate it. I kind of wish it came out after the apps because while it tasted good, I think it could've tasted even better if it were warm! All in all, there were some winners and losers here, but the overall bar/restaurant concept is pretty cool. There's also a pool table to the side for anyone who's interested in playing, and on Fridays starting around 8:00 pm, there's a pretty cool DJ (pop and Latin pop) too. Parking: The Aloft has a free adjacent parking lot, and it shouldn't be too difficult to find a spot. read more

I highly recommend it if you want to chill while the rest fume in traffic. Comfortable couches and a latin flavored ambiance welcome you with open arms. Whether you're in the mood for a martini or a mojito, the bar staff will satisfy. A pool table is available or you can catch up with friends by the pool. I'm as high stress as you can get, and it was a welcome change for me... Happy Hour lasts until 8pm with 2 for 1 well drinks, Cabernet or Chardonnay, and the appetizers are quite filling. This lounge bar is inside aloft miami doral, however it deserves to be reviewed separately from the hotel. Doral infamously is distinguished for their lack of good upscale bars where to chill out and mingle in a nicee environment. WXYZ has the look and feel of a good option for this. Modern decor with a neat bar and some entertainment options in a small space. There is even a pool table here. Outside and inside setting. Good music. Even prices though not cheap, are better than other places around. Until now most of the people that frecuents the place are the guests, and once in a while some locals, hope this will change. read more

I came to W XYZ Bar because the restaurant I frequent here when I'm traveling, 107 Steak and Bar, was closed. First off, the environment was inviting - cool furniture and a pool table. Seems like a great social/happy hour place. It was pretty busy for 9pm on a Sunday, which surprised me. I'm not sure if I was supposed to go to the bar to order or not but I sat waiting for someone to acknowledge me for about fifteen minutes before giving up and going to the bar. Once at the bar, I got attention quickly and was able to place an order for food. The food wait was about twenty minute or so, so no problem. But there was a group of maybe ten - a few teens and two parents - and the mom was at a minimum tipsy and walking around barefoot!!! Putting her dirty feet everywhere - on the table, on the couch, and walking all over just so casually. I'm not usually the germaphobic type - but I found it super repulsive and informed the woman working that night. She was understanding and said something to the woman, the woman decided to blow it off. I'm giving them four stars because the food was overall quick, warm and, tasty; and it seemed like a fun environment. Docking a half star because it was confusing as to whether they have servers or you're supposed to order at the bar (but that's mostly on me). Docking one star because I don't believe anywhere should let anyone put their bare feet all over the place. I'm rounding up because it's not their fault they have a nasty patron. I'll return again another night and re-evaluate. read more

Arrived with a group of friends, approximately 10 and send the establishment a note on Yelp that we would be coming. When we arrived there was one bartender, and she was not particularity friendly or service oriented. We sat in the lounge are and she never acknowledged us or made any efforts to inform us that there was no table service. One of us had to wak to the bar and wait for her to finish what appeared to be cleaning tasks, and asked. She, in a not so friendly tone, informed us that all drinks and food had to be ordered at the bar. We ordered sevral rounds of drinks and 5-6 apps to share. each time, the empty galsses and plates sat on the tables until we cleared them and took to her at the bar. A shame, great decor, and vibe, but understaffed and poor service. If you are going to have one server/bartender, they should at least be ready to provide good service... communication is the key.. if she would have engaged with us and explained she was alone and we would have to come to the bar... we would have been fine with it. I went there as I was waiting for a friend and sat at the bar. The bar tender silvana automatically served me and I didn't really know what I was in the mood for and she recommended the blue berry mojito. I only agreed because she pulled out a whole box of fresh blueberries she even let me try one because I was a little skeptical. Then when I actually had it it was phenomenal! The service was perfect. The wings were superb. Then came the bill. An arbitrary 15% "service charge" was applied to our bill. I asked what this was for since it was just two of us sitting at the bar. The bartender said that "part of it was gratuity and part of it was a hotel service charge". I asked how much was each. She didn't know. Seriously??? She didn't know? C'mon! So I asked the front desk dude. He didn't know either. I asked, "is the bar a separate entity from the hotel?" No. So what is this charge?
