This was my first experience with waba grill I had never tried it before and definitely going to be a go to spot. Straight out from the gym I was looking for something healthy that I can grab quick and thats when I found waba and I ordered their signature mini rice bowl with white meat chicken and I got avocado on top. For about 8 dollars you cant go wrong with this portion size. It was quite fast and the employees were respectful and polite made my experience smooth and quick. Date/time of visit: 02/28/26 @ 6:09 pm. Finally got a chance to go try Waba and was disappointed to find that there was a sign stating the "restroom was closed for cleaning." I asked the woman standing behind the counter if the restroom was closed for cleaning and she said "yes." Because she didn't voluntarily elaborate, I then asked if the restroom would be open the rest of the night to which she replied "no." I of course left because I wasn't going to eat without washing my hands first and I sure as heck wasn't going to eat at a place that didn't have working restrooms for their employees to wash their hands. If there is no working restroom, are they just relieving themselves in the back alley without washing their hands before returning to work? I wanted to warn my fellow diners so you didn't waste a trip so I opened Yelp to make this post to see they already have terrible reviews, which explains why I was the only person in the whole place. I've been eating Waba Grill for quite a while. The last few times I've ordered have been ridiculous. Either something is missing or the order is wrong all together. On Monday, 1/29, I ordered 2 chicken veggie bowls, a mini steak bowl and a mini chicken bowl. My goal was to order the food, give my kids a bath while that's on its way, and have them eat in their jammies. Well, I never got the mini bowls for my kids to eat. Instead, I got 3 chicken bowls. I'm embarrassed. I'm truly embarrassed for them to have them do business this way. What happened was that we're working nearby last week and yesterday. Last week we made an order of three plates and potstickers. My rice bowls and plates were packed fresh steamed vegetables, juicy meats, and good amount of rice. The potstickers was nasty and soggy. My cashier was nice and courteous even though it took me some time to order. Before I got the chance to write a good review comes yesterday. We were hungry and although there's a business right next door that offers rice bowl, we chose this place since we're hungry and remembered a good experience from last time just minus the potstickers. Well it's a huge disappointment because portion wise they put us in a diet. Every order was like a kid's meal. I came him hungry and finished their order hangry. I called them and spoke with them and all they can say was "sorry" I told them it's bad business practices to rip people off and for another bunch of "sorries". I called ahead of time and made my order just to have to reorder again when I got there. Every time i get salmon it's burnt. I specifically asked if they could cook it easy and it seems like it was more burnt than usual. Absolutely terrible and my bowl is literally half empty. I go there because of the convenience but I won't be going back. Food is so burnt I can barely eat it but I'm starving. The two guys don't even say hello and you'll be standing there for minutes waiting for them to finish doing whatever they are doing and they'll look at you and not say anything until they feel like it. Very upset with the service at this location. There store is nice and clean. The staff is respectful and friendly. Although, this is the third time this location has given me the wrong order. I don't make it a big deal getting the wrong order but when it happens three times...I find it very unprofessional. To top it off, the staff member even checked my order to make sure it was right... guess she didn't check it close enough. Also, the portion size at this location is very small. Every other location I go to fills the bowl at the standard size. They're practically ripping customer off by filling the bowl very minimally. So uncool.
