First, this place is a ghost town. Every restaurant in this plaza was packed, but this one. I walked in and there weren't any customers...as a matter of fact, there weren't any staff. Graveyards are more lively than this joint, but I guess graveyards don't blast reggaeton music either. It wasn't that clean, but when the staff finally appeared, they were friendly. Now for the food... I had a chicken bowl. It was more like a tendon bowl. Very little chicken and what little chicken was there was tough as hell to chew. The rice and veggies were pathetic. Soggy and bland. I'd rather watch a marathon of Jake and the Fatman than eat this food. Also, the bowls stink like stale cat piss. I am not joking either. I challenge you to smell those bowls. As I was eating, I kept smelling something disgusting. It hit me, stale cat piss. But wait a damn second...I don't even own a cat. So I picked up my bowl and smelled it. Man, it's freaking gross. And before anyone asks, I didn't add a photo of the food because I threw it out. The damn container was stinking up my kitchen. At that point, I wasn't about to keep it around just for a picture. Overall, this joint sucks. The food speaks for itself. Pitiful and stank-ass bowl. The sign out front says "Under New Management." Date/time of visit: 02/28/26 @ 6:09 pm. Finally got a chance to go try Waba and was disappointed to find that there was a sign stating the "restroom was closed for cleaning." I asked the woman standing behind the counter if the restroom was closed for cleaning and she said "yes." Because she didn't voluntarily elaborate, I then asked if the restroom would be open the rest of the night to which she replied "no." I of course left because I wasn't going to eat without washing my hands first and I sure as heck wasn't going to eat at a place that didn't have working restrooms for their employees to wash their hands. If there is no working restroom, are they just relieving themselves in the back alley without washing their hands before returning to work? I wanted to warn my fellow diners so you didn't waste a trip so I opened Yelp to make this post to see they already have terrible reviews, which explains why I was the only person in the whole place. Straight out from the gym I was looking for something healthy that I can grab quick and thats when I found waba and I ordered their signature mini rice bowl with white meat chicken and I got avocado on top. For about 8 dollars you cant go wrong with this portion size. It was quite fast and the employees were respectful and polite made my experience smooth and quick. On Monday, 1/29, I ordered 2 chicken veggie bowls, a mini steak bowl and a mini chicken bowl. Very upset with the service at this location. There store is nice and clean. The staff is respectful and friendly. Although, this is the third time this location has given me the wrong order. I don't make it a big deal getting the wrong order but when it happens three times...I find it very unprofessional. To top it off, the staff member even checked my order to make sure it was right... guess she didn't check it close enough. Also, the portion size at this location is very small.
