I'm about 9 1/2 years late on posting this review, but I saw someone on Facebook mention Wade Funeral Home and it brought back a bittersweet memory. Wade took care of my dad after he passed in February of 2016. As requested, my dad was to be buried a few hours away in central Texas. They loaded him up in their SUV and we started the long trek to the burial site. I had horrible anxiety at the time about driving long-distance on the highway so they accommodated me by taking the beautiful scenic route through the backroads which was such a comfort to me. And funny story: my mom (my dad's ex wife) got pulled over 5 minutes into the drive for expired registration. My dad was a prankster so I know he would've gotten a laugh out of this. The Wade SUV pulled over and went to speak with the police officer and asked him to let her go because this was a funeral procession for a loved one. They did let her go with a warning but it was so kind-natured of them to intervene for the family in mourning. They seemed very protective of us. Would highly recommend them. read more

my family asked Me to write the obituary and be responsible for getting copies. Kevin at Wade funeral told me he could do all of that for me Well he did the part of taking my credit card and charge my it well over a thousand dollars. But he "forgot" to get any of the papers - even though I stressed to him Many times how important that was. I was coming in from out of town so I really needed to be sure to get the copies. When I arrived to Dallas, I sent an email to Kevin which was ignored so I drove over to Wade Funeral where Kevin was no where to be found and no one knew anything. So I sent another email that got ignored. Finally when I'm called again, I was told no copies Of the obituary were available because he forgot. Isn't this his job? Now I wish I would have placed the obituary myself and ordered the number of papers I needed directly from the paper and I advise you so that. Because now I don't have what my Family asked of me. And Kevin and Wade's Funeral Home don't care and will not make it right. read more

Family owned vs the larger funeral homes we called around too. Also found out that Bluebonnet in Colleyville and Moore's funeral home in Arlington are owned by a conglomerate. There are others also So that means when you try to get the best price and compare them they are working apart but together so beware. Wade Funeral home is owned by the Wade family and the cost of the funeral was easily a third 33% cheaper. read more

My dad was under hospice care so I contacted Wade Funeral Home prior to his death to work out the preliminary arrangements. Hayden was extremely helpful in providing information. Even the night my dad passed, Hayden was on top of the situation and communicated with me throughout the night. Natalie, our Funeral Director, was fantastic both in the office as we finalized the details and graveside. She was professional, respectful and kind; and even held on to my dad's wedding band and watch until his service. Our entire family couldn't have been more pleased. Natalie coordinated with Moore Cemetery to schedule the interment and bring in the casket. In spite of the sad circumstances, it was a wonderful experience with exceptional service. We will definitely use Wade's services again. Wade is a family owned funeral home and a highly respected name in Arlington. I highly recommend them. read more

This review is for our experience in the time of "CV-19 restrictions." Social distancing during the visitation/burial was easily observed by those with conserns. Simply put, in consideration of the sad/emotional times that we were going through, things went smoothly, they were very helpful, they had a lot of options that we could have done things ourselves - or use them - and we used them exclusively as their fees were very reasonable. read more

The service was great and they accommodated our request, music, etc. However my dads body didn't look the same, so I have mixed feelings on prepping the body. but other than that, it truly was a great service especially during this Time of the virus, out of town friends and family were still able to view my dads memorial. read more

Only in this age of Social Media would you leave a review of a Funeral Home. Tonight we said goodbye to my Mother in Law. Sadly most of my immediate family has passed. This is the first time I've had to plan a funeral that was not in Nebraska. I can without a doubt, tell you this is the most caring group of family that runs this funeral home. I am beyond impressed with their compassion, attention to every detail, and the little things that give your heart some peace when suffering such a loss of a loved one. I can not recommend them enough. Once you speak to them you can genuinely feel they care about you and your family. My greatest regret is that they were not available when I needed to buy my family. Generations of our family had their services and interment at a well known funeral home and memorial garden in Arlington, TX. But when our family members (2 within 5 days) passed away recently, that funeral home showed us no empathy and said before they would have anything to do with us, they required a ridiculous amount of $ up front first. So adding onto the despair of losing family members, we were worried about how to lay our family members to rest also. *** Well, thank God for Wade Funeral Home! *** We were referred to Wade by a family friend. Thank God this funeral home has people that work there that show complete empathy, do not charge ridiculous amounts of $, and work with you. It is Friday night at 10:40pm and I had to get online to let anyone who is considering this company to help them with their family's funeral that Mike Wade was so helpful and I am so grateful for the recommendation. He came highly recommended from my neighbor who has used his services. We have a loved one who passed in Colorado, but we needed to transport her to Arlington to have the service here.
