Michael was responsive and communicative, quickly notifying us of changes. He got the job done with high-quality standards and within a reasonable timeframe, despite delays and set backs. For example, in late Feb 2025 there was a significant snow/ice storm that delayed the project by 2 days. Michael showed up on the weekends to continue the job to try and make up time. He was consistent, reliable, and transparent. Another example: Our master bath floor was not level enough for the tile, and Michael was clear and open about what had to be done to get the job finished to a top-quality standard. It added a couple days to the timeframe (and some cost), but the final result was well worth it. Last example: The half bath toilet flange had several errors from the original build and contractor work, and the toilet we bought had a manufacturing defect (leak) we found after installing the toilet. Despite these obstacles and added time, Michael brought the flange to code, uninstalled the defective toilet, and installed the defect-free replacement. There were several curveballs with our job and Michael handled them professionally and courteously, making sure we were involved with every change decision along the way. We are thinking about hiring him for our second (guest) bath remodel, and wish him all the success a small business owner can have!

The two Workman were nice and very polite. Usually on time However they did not pay attention to details and preparation before painting. Furniture was covered but areas that should be protected from the ceiling and wall paint were not sufficiently masked off or protected from paint splatter. Two areas on the living room carpeting had good size paint drops and looked as if the workers tried to clean the area but what ever they used, left the carpet discolored . There should have been better protection while painting. Also some ceiling paint splatter on pleated shades. Again they did not protect the area. One hard wood floor vent had paint drips in between the grates. Home owner was able to remove it with efforts. Business owner apologized for the incomplete dry wall repair and said he would send a different crew to fix. He Apologized for the carpet spots with no solution. Our advice is to instruct his crew to pay more attention to protecting the home owners areas that aren't part of the work they are hired for and to detail work around moldings, doorways , windows and fixtures. We had only one area of white woodwork that was painted, the stair railing. Result was satisfactory but not as well done as previous areas in the past. Homeowner chose not to have any other woodwork painted and is satisfied with that choice. The home owner was very prepared prior for the job to start, having moved furniture, light fixtures, wall electrical plates, drapes and obvious obstructions before the workers arrived. This handyman was chosen because he could provide both dry wall repair and painting. His bid for the job was fair but the completed overall work by his crew was below average more due to the painting including lack of care in the preparation and detailing. We are left to do lots of touch up areas around moldings, window and door casings, in the rooms that were painted.

When weather permitted the painting to start, they started and finished everything within four days. He was very professional and detail oriented. They removed or protected all of the little fixtures around the house--things we hadn't even thought about. Teo patched up some places where the wood siding was peeling, using a special primer to help the wood hold together better. Truly full service. He was also very flexible and accommodating with our needs. Here's one example: there was one part of the trim that we weren't sure if we should paint it the trim color or the house color. We were feeling indecisive but Teo was patient as we thought it through, and he even sent us photos of the progress while we were at work so we could better visualize it and make a more informed decision. He also shared his opinion when we asked for it, which helped us feel more confident in our choices (it's a big deal to redo the whole look of your house!). I'm so glad we accepted his recommendations--they ended up looking great! On top of the excellent painting job, Teo really went above and beyond our expectations. For example, the wood trim at the base of our garage door had rotted away over the years. I straight up photoshopped my house colors on and they helped me achieve my vision. I chose a paint and remodel company because I have a 1930s craftsman home and wanted its beauty and character preserved and enhanced - I knew a regular paint company wouldn't accomplish that. Lisa call me the Friday before they would be able to start painting to let me know the work would begin on Monday. Able was on time. The first day was all prep work with caulking, taping and covering windows. Day two the house was sprayed the main color and the garage door was painted. Able work alone those days but he worked except for a short lunch break. He also removed the plastic from the windows and doors where there was no trim to paint. Able also repaired a rotted door frame. Day 3 Able and 1 other person came and finished the trim and painted the ceiling and some beams in my pergola. The latter required quite a bit of prep due to the metal brackets and bolts that i didn't want painted. When they were close to done Able & I did a walk through. There were some minor touch ups that were taken care of immediately. When they left my property was cleaned up without a single piece of tape or plastic left behind. The painter tried to blame the paint, saying that the quality of Sherwin Williams has gone down since the pandemic. This was the same paint that CertaPro's own rep told me to get. The company said they would make it right and we had the painter's manager come to repaint. The result was he didn't sand it properly and tried to repaint over. It's a mess and the the hardware got paint on it even though it was so easy to take off. There are are number of issues that I know will never be addressed; from the first painter leaving white paint foot marks from the garage to the street kerb, to replacing a black hardware screw (that he lost) with a brass one (lazy)! Please save your money! They are sloppy and unprofessional.
