I've been going to this Waffle House for years and its one of the good ones. I even worked there back in highschool. The restaurant is clean and whenever I've been the service has been good. Waffle Houses vary in quality; but I've always been happy with my local one. Waffle House menu has something for everyone, good diner classics, reasonable prices. I had breakfast this morning and unfortunately sat on a completely wet seat. While the waitress apologized once, no one offered a napkin or towel so I could dry off, which felt surprising and an inconsiderate! Another customer even came by and nearly sat in the same spot. One waitress mentioned she had told the manager, but other staff said there was nothing they could do -- which seemed odd, since it would have been simple to place a note or a towel on the seat to prevent more people from sitting there. Living under the draconian yoke of oppression in California, it was a pleasure, a privilege, an outright euphoric experience to actually SIT INSIDE at a table to enjoy breakfast. My review may be tainted with the patina of freedom, but that has no impact on my taste buds or observational skills. Great breakfast (eggs, sausage, and of course waffles with a cup of joe). And our waitress, Joanna, only made our visit better. Quick with a smile, quicker with her banter, and excellent service made her the ideal complement to a delicious breakfast. Joanna did an outstanding job making us feel welcome. The restaurant itself was clean, including the restroom. They were using common sense and basic intelligence in their cleaning practices and distancing. FYI...common sense is a more robust version of "protocols" and "mandates" without all the pearl-clutching and hyperbole. THIS PLACE IS SO GREAT. I love waffle house so much. The two girls that were there I'm so sad I can't remember their names... One was 16 and only been there a month and the other has pinkish hair. They ARE PHENOMENAL. they gave bacon strips to my dads service dog it was so cute. Stopped in here to grab a quick meal before leaving North Carolina and expected to have a regular waffle house experience. Fortunately, I was wrong - we had the best dinning experience ever! Joanna was running the entire restaurant all by herself yet performed so efficiently and was able to get to all of her tables with no problem. She was also incredibly friendly and was the reason we had such a positive experience here (on top of the delicious and fast served food). My wife and I had dinner last night and I could not believe my eyes, one of the cooks sat down to eat guess he was on break pants didn't fit very well could literally see his butt very disappointed not to mention both cooks wearing their hats backwards I think that this is very poor management since you are in a open kitchen looks like you would try to look a little more professional. On to our meal both of our orders were messed up waitress apologized several times telling us that the cooks don't listen food was good but could have had a little more presentation instead of slapping it on the plate. Their food is good for a Waffle House, but don't bother calling an order in for pickup. Their phone has been out for 2 -3 weeks according to employees and management obviously doesn't care. The phone rings, they answer but you can't hear them, they can't hear you. This is totally unacceptable for a business. read more
