My girlfriend got the Veggie Quesadilla with Shrimp. She had the orange roll as a side. We both had fountain drinks. The atmosphere is kind of generic but there were plenty of seats and mostly country music playing. My Urban Cowboy sandwich was a steak strip sandwich with some peppers and a tangy orange sauce. It was really tender, with no fat, and served on a toasted roll. The Hot Cheddar Pasta is a variation on Mac and Cheese but so much better. It looked like ziti-style noodles with lots of cheddar cheese. Both were excellent choices and I highly recommend. My girlfriend liked her Veggie Quesadilla with shrimp too but had to take half of it to go. The front counter folks did provide a takeout box. It is a little pricey compared to fast food restaurants but the quality is very good and worth it. The price for both our meals with drinks was around $40. I'm surprised this restaurant doesn't have more business but perhaps it's fairly new. I highly recommend and would go again when I am in the area. When I arrived to get the food, *of course* I was prompted to tip for take-out. & YES, I did (even though you don't really deserve an $8 tip for *messing up on BAGGING an order). But, that's another rant for another time. 5 minutes down the road, we found we were missing an item on this $50+ order. AGAIN, We both called multiple times each, before the phone was answered. I explained we were *coming back*, because we were missing an order of onion rings. She said 'Okay, just bring the bag & receipt back in with you.' I get there, the original gal who helped me, would not speak to me or look at me. This really irks me because I gave this gal $8 tip for her to not even FIX her OWN mess--up. A different gal helped me. Proceeded to wait 15+ minutes for them to get the onion rings. Meanwhile, a couple standing at the counter begins looking thru OUR bag thinking it may be there to go order. Get the onion rings, go home, all our food is cold. Husband said the onion rings were not worth that ordeal. I am really bummed about this experience because I like to support LOCAL, and I LOVE the fried mushrooms & wings here. But, this has made me feel like I will no longer be generous on tipping *to-go orders*. If there was a way to rescind that tip, we surely would have because it was absolutely not handled in a way that merits us doing it again. ANSWER your PHONE. I am not trying to sell you an extended warranty or a time-share. & Don't expect people to be OK with paying for your mess ups. This is a prime example of why we will no longer participate in tipping culture for to-go orders.

The restaurant was not busy as we arrived around 7:15pm on a holiday and we were seated immediately. Our waitress came and got our drink order and got those back to us quickly. She proceeded to take our order while answering any questions my children had about substituting menu items or adding additional items. She was courteous and friendly during the whole exchange. Two of my kids got chicken fingers and fries, adding cheese and bacon, while the other got fries and hash brown casserole. My wife and niece got the Grandma's sampler platters. I got the chicken fried chicken with three sides. Mashed potatoes, hash brown casserole, and fried okra! Everyone loved their food and left stuffed with some leftovers. The store was clean and decked out with old fashioned items throughout. The country store was also a hit! The service was wonderful and the food was delicious as always!

I ordered three sides ~ mashed sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and collards. Mom loved her cheesy soup and I left not a jot of my yumminess. All Steak is gorgeous ~ and on this cold day we truly appreciated the warmth not only in the decorating but also in spirit. Mark is an excellent waiter and made sure our coffee (deep flavor, ceramic mugs, soooo good) and bread basket never faltered.
