We had a group of 16 that went in between lunch and dinner. They easily seated us all together quickly since the restaurant wasn't busy. Hats off to our server! I didn't get her name, but she was a younger lady with dark hair and tattoos. She did a tremendous job of making sure we had everything we needed as she took care of our table by herself. The issues we had were with the food. Almost all of sides that came out with our food were lukewarm. A few of the steaks were overcooked. Hence a medium rare steak came out medium well and a medium steak came out well done. I had the pork chops with fries and macaroni and cheese. The pork chops had good flavor. The rolls were good! I will start with the salads. My salad had a hair in it. We showed the waitress and all she did was smile real big and say let me get you another one. My husband literally said that we don't want another one. She brings us another one. Our food took longer than 45 minutes to arrive. Mine and my son's steak was undercooked, his was practically raw. No prebusing happened and we were eating with a toddler. I can understand/overlook alot as I used to be a server, but not even an apology for the hair. This is only MY experience. I joined a large party that had already been there for 30 mins. So when I ordered it probably took another 30 mins to get food. (Kinda long) But my server Georgia was an absolute sweetheart! She took very good care of us. I got a NY strip (med-rare), Casesr salad, and mashed potatoes. My food came out really good actually. So very sad. My wife and I came in to use a gift card we got for Christmas. My wife ordered a ribeye steak medium rare. When the steak came out, it was thin and gray looking. Plus, it was way overcooked! We sent it back after showing our server. Almost 15 minutes waiting again for a medium rare steak (with very few people in the restaurant). I told my wife "I bet it will be over cooked again". Sure enough, thin as a pancake and over cooked. Just pathetic. And, neither time did any manager come out to apologize. We were in there over an hour ,and when we asked the manager if we could get our check he acted like it was an inconvenience to him ,and then didn't even bother to mention it to our waiter who was mind blown by the two tables he was covering. I have had nothing but great experiences at this location, and have gone here several times over the years. The food is almost always just as ordered, but on the "rare" (no pun intended) that something wasn't quite right, they have rectified it promptly. Oh well after driving all day long we arrived in Cullman Alabama. After getting settled into our motel it was time to think about something to eat for dinner. It was between local barbecue or a chain steakhouse. Normally I would go the local route but both of the barbecue places required me to get back in my car and drive some more. I just didn't feel like doing that. So we went over to Logans steakhouse. I was pleasantly surprised. We were seated promptly . We ordered and received our meals promptly. They were as ordered. It was so nice to get a juicy flavorful steak again. We had spent some time in Florida. Florida is known as one of the top beef producing states. If you get out in the countryside there are a lot of livestock grazing the acreages. Unfortunately the steaks that these beef produce have one thing in common well--make that two-- and that they are tough and tasteless. It's as if they breed their cattle so that the meat is not marbled at all. We had finally driven far enough away from Florida that you could get a tasty juicy steak. It was not unreasonably priced either. I ordered the 19.99 smokehouse ribeye. It was very good although a bit on the salty side. Overall, if you're traveling, and you get the hankering for a good steak at a reasonable price this restaurant is located just off of I 65 in Cullman Alabama. OMG--I just realized I used "hankering" in a sentence. I do need to get back north. The next thing would have been a "y'all" or the dreaded "all y'all" slipping into my vocabulary. LOL. read more

Recently dined here for the second time passing through Alabama on vacation. I primarily stopped in because I was staying at a hotel close by. I sat at the bar in order to get service quicker. The service was sufficient enough however I felt the quality of the Ribeye was sub par. I work at a high end restaurant that said I compared the steak in my head to the same sized steak at Longhorn. Quite honestly it tasted like a steak I'd buy at Aldi and cook without much effort on a standard grill. I don't mind the price point as long as the steak and seasoning are flavorful. Thank you. We sat down at 6:21, had to wait 10-12 minutes to get our waters, and then waited 40+ minutes for our food, which consisted of grilled chicken, rice, and broccoli. We ended up leaving at 7:25 because we really needed to get on the road. My brother didn't even have time to eat his food. I had to wave the server down FOUR TIMES to get the check. Stopped in to watch the nfl playoffs and have some dinner, well the game wasn't on so I requested it and it took almost 20 min to figure out how to turn it on. After glancing over the menu, I decided on the "famous ribs" and wow were these a disappointment. The ribs were tiny and dry at best, definitely not worth $15 they charge for a half rack. I ordered fries as the side (cause why not stick with finger food) and the fries arrived cold. Even if the fries would have arrived warm, I'm certain that they would have been just as bland. Service was ok, not bad but not great. It took too long to get a drink (sweet tea) and even longer to order. I had not been in a Logans for some time so I forgot that you typically get rolls with your meal. The rolls were not offered so I requested some when I saw some pass on a tray. The next minor issue was that no ketchup was offered when the fries were delivered, I mean this is America right? First the positives, shrimp was good as was the chicken. Everything else was mediocre, wrong or just plain bad. Lemonade was weak, sweet tea wasn't and the folks who asked for water with lemon got their lemon about halfway through our visit. Then there's the kitchen, medium rare came out as rare (nearly blue) and medium came out medium well. The "center cut" sirloin was off the end and half connective tissues and quite possibly could have been marketed as chewing gum for tigers. The filet was a bit over cooked, but there is no way that it should have been that dry and flavorless. One salad was sent back as incorrect. The rolls; shrimp and chicken earned the 2nd star and chances are they were all straight from the freezer. If you find yourself craving the yeast rolls, order a side and eat them on the way to somewhere better. read more

She brought my dining companion a cocktail immediately but it took over 10 minutes to get a sweet tea. The only good thing was the waiter he was nice. They also said they were out of straws but we could see them right across from us. Probably 20 workers but only 4 working. The rest of the staff were flirting and sitting around doing absolutely nothing. This was not a busy time either, it was the middle of the afternoon. There was maybe 6 other tables in the restaurant. It was pouring rain tonight, and Logans was a short hop from my hotel. So, Logans. I ordered the 10 oz chopped steak, cooked medium. I got what I wanted, very delicious. The dinner rolls are fantastic! The service was exceptional tonight, which seems to be the biggest complaint of other Yelpers at this restaurant. I had no issue with the service staff. I am thinking long and hard about why I should not give this Logans five stars. It's a chain, and to deny the fifth star based solely on the reason that it is a chain restaurant seems awfully narrow-minded of me. For a chain, Logans seems to be doing things the right way. My wife and I chose Logan's Roadhouse over Cracker Barrel as we are frequent eaters at CB and wanted to try a different place to eat. We were disappointed that we did. We were seated right away and our server took our order very quickly and returned with our drinks, also very quickly. The problem, although there were few people eating at the time we got to the restaurant, was that we waited 30 minutes before our food arrived. I ordered a 6 oz sirloin with broccoli and a sweet potato and my wife ordered a grilled chicken salad. My wife's salad was good, but my sirloin was tough and filled with gristle. The best that I can say about my meal was that the sweet potato and broccoli were good. I will be a very long time before I go to this or any other Logan's Roadhouses. read more

I have never had a problem with the steak here, until tonight. I always order the filet medium rare, and it's always been pretty good for a chain type steakhouse. Tonight however, it was terrible. They essentially tried to serve me a piece of fatty sirloin, full of gristle and pass it off as a filet. I sent the first one back, thinking it might have been a mistake, but the second one was even worse. If you don't have any filet, just tell the customer so they can order something else. I sat at the bar and ordered the fall off the bone ribs. The bartender was very nice when the ribs game I could not rip them apart with two forks and it was very difficult to cut them with a huge steak knife. I sent them back and ended up eating soup and bread for my dinner. The manager Gary did not charge me for the ribs but charge me for everything else and did not have the courtesy to even come out and talk to me let alone apologize.
