The burgers here are so juicy and tender. I always recommend this place to my Airbnb guests.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes…read more Everything was amazing. We started with a dozen tamales. They were seasoned perfectly and were delicious. Then they brought out the broiled shrimp. The sauce was so good, I could have bathed in it. It was like liquid lemon pepper. We dipped the garlic rolls into the sauce. So good. The steak was a 42-45 oz porterhouse that was the best steak I have even had. And I've been to some world famous steak restaurants. This blew Peter Lugers out of the water. The fries were fresh, hand cut and cooked perfectly, The salad was simple but one of my favorite parts of the meal. The staff was super friendly. The atmosphere was quaint and welcoming. This was far out of the way for us but so worth it.

Hell, I go to Doe's in Monroe every single time I am in Monroe. When I would profess my love for Doe's to my Mississippi friends they would always tell me: "you have to go to the Greenville location. It's the original". I figured they were right but also figured I would never be in Greenville since there are not many things to do there. But 2025 was the year that I finally made it here. We made a special stop on the way to Eureka Springs. It was everything I had hoped and I absolutely loved it. You must know that this is the original location and it is not fancy on the outside or the inside. Parking is mostly on the street and the neighborhood seems a wee bit sketchy. The building looks like an old house from the outside. Needless to say, the kids were skeptical and wondered why their dad drug them here. That continued when we walked in to the kitchen, walked through the other kitchen, and were seated in one of the rooms. One of the kids said: "I feel like I am dining at someone's house". Exactly. This place is famous! All skepticism was washed away when we got our food. A ribeye and fries for me and a fillet and fries for them to share. Both were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and made this Doe's fan grin from ear to ear. It was a great meal I will remember forever. Was it cheap? Definitely not. For two entrees, a beer, and a tea, it was around $200 with a tip. Was it worth it to me? Hell yes. I freakin loved it. Is it worth a drive from New Orleans just to eat here? Probably not. Should you divert a road trip to eat here? Absolutely. By the way, service was exactly as you would expect. Super friendly and we were treated like regulars despite it being our first time. Also, there was a cop working outside so don't be scared.

It is attached to the Alluvian Hotel which has been around just as long. I would say it's good to go to at least once if you're in the Greenwood MS area, if only for the history. The service is always kind but takes a LONG time to get any kind of drinks or food. The food is at best OK. I really enjoy their crawfish dip appetizer, but have had several items on the menu for entrees, including their Delta Catfish filet (the sauce was ok, and the catfish fresh but it was not flavorful), and their Spinach stuffed Manicotti (this was touted as one of their best entrees according to the waitress, but the pasta was over cooked and the flavor was nothing special; I've certainly had much better), which were both subpar. The dessert was decent, but nothing to write home about. I enjoyed their gelato, but it could have just as easily come from a jar purchased at the grocery store. TLDR: I've come to this restaurant several times now (wanted to give it a decent shot since I'm not from the area) and I would go for the history but not stay for the food. It's overpriced for the quality and the service is way too slow. Even though a few items were decent (I.e. the crawfish dip), there isn't enough there for me to sit down and have another meal. *This review is generous because it's in the middle of nowhere MS
