I like this Waffle House a lot. It's my go to place for some food to actually eat after I have dined at Weidman's here in Meridian. That's a whole other story. My review for them is in jail. It was bad, I will admit, but I believe it will be set free in time. The last time I came here everything and everyone was great. I even got challenged to a race by a guy in Cadillac CT5-V who was just hanging in the parking lot. I could have taken him, but had been drinking that night. I mean, I was at a Waffle House. My server was fantastic. She knew a bunch of folks by their first names. It's like a hometown diner in here. Well.... I guess it is. It's clean in here. They cook stuff quickly. It's right and just tastes great. Dude on the grill is a bad ass. I've gotten quite fond of topped and covered hash browns. No where else in the current world that I know of where you can get a protein packed 3-4 oz add on for $.50! What?!?!? There is something great about Waffle House. I just love it. I've been wanting to just go, sit and enjoy Waffle House for a while and we did just that. We sat at the counter (clean) and I was able to observe how this place is ran with so much order, really impressed. We both decided on the All Star Special, (classic waffle, bacon, toast, one with grits, the other with hash browns) and orange juice. The food was served pretty quick and everything was at the right temperature. I even had leftovers. We encountered a welcoming and helpful group of people. I would definitely return. read more

I didn't want to give this location even a one star rating, but I did want it to be in the reviews section. We have eaten at several WH in our city (Shreveport) and out of town locations. Never had a problem until this evening October 25,2024. My husband ordered an Angus cheeseburger with hashbrowns. He had a beef patty & cheese period. I ordered a patty melt w/o a bun (gf). Mine looked exactly like his. Asked for s & p got pepper and finally got packets of salt. Didn't get our drink order water and tea until after food was served and had to ask for the tea order again. The bill was $27. I did not leave a tip. I hope WH would be unhappy with this location. read more

I'll start by saying it's One Person 1 Incident. I've never been so baffled or insulted. I Do Not eat eggs, I've never had a problem before. However the server obviously Miscommunicated or the Insulter took it upon himself. I ordered the breakfast with waffle a chicken breast grits and requested extra grits in place of eggs. Long story short I was told you Cannot order a Breakfast with out Eggs??? Really?? In what Universe?? So rather than accelerate my frustration I shut up and lo and behold this Putz actually brings me a paper with Mgr info etc, can't make this stuff up. I go to pay see we were charged for coffee I didn't order only to be Rudely insulted Again by another person. She actually went to the table to I guess Verify only 1 coffee mug, again Not kidding. Looking forward to a good stick to your stomach breakfast before we hit the road. Should of went to IHOP . First off, they had sugar ants running around our table. 2 things that WH should improve: **When ordering smothered onions on Hashbrowns ....make sure the onions you place on your customers hash browns aren't raw. They should be sauteed like your menu states. ** the melted cheese you place on the hashbrowns suck!!! Its hardens and doesnt have a flavor to it. Try using shredded, you would be surprised how changing that would greatly improve the texture and taste of your hashbrowns. Oh and make sure your hashbrowns are cooked!! The inside of mine was like I was eating raw potatoes. I was just passing thru...but I can guarantee next time regardless of what WH I'm near.... I'm choosing another breakfast dinner. We went here for dinner tonight, as it was right in the same lot as the hotel next door. The food was good, as usual. Our waiter was very nice, courteous and efficient...as was the cook (both men). However, there was another waitress, Ashley, who was doing the dishes...and slamming them very loudly, as she was washing them in the sink. We asked her to please try not to make so much noise, that it was hurting our ears. She was very rude, saying she couldn't help it. As we were eating, she continued to slam the dishes...purposely right behind us, and also making additional loud noises in the sink. It really sounded like she was breaking dishes! It should not sound like breaking dishes when they are being washed and put away! She seemed like she was trying to be vindictive, because we called her out on being too loud. This is not the way to treat paying customers. Hopefully, management will address this concern! Having a meal out should not have to be this unpleasant, though the meal was really good itself. read more

HANDS DOWN the worst service I've ever received in my life. I've waitressed most of my life (Denny's, IHOP, Red Robin, etc.) and so I try to cut waitresses some slack if they do a crappy job, but we were so appalled (the BEST word to describe her service) that I'm going to call the district manager later to let them now how crappy the service was. So we come in. Our hostess was SUPER friendly! She set up our tableware, smiled and welcomed us. I told her it was my first time at a Waffle House and she was really happy that we were there. Then she said that she wasn't going to be our waitress. And so the suck begins. Our waitress comes. She doesn't look interested in serving us, is nowhere near as friendly as the hostess and doesn't greet us. Okay. Then she takes our order, but brings back a completely different order. WE LITERALLY ASKED HER FIVE TIMES TO BRING US THE THINGS SHE DIDNT BRING US, and she forgot every single time. She brought out toast instead of raisin bread toast, didn't get my bacon crispy, didn't get my hash browns country style, forgot my husband's country ham--which would have been fine if SHE FIXED THE PROBLEM RIGHT THEN AND THERE. We literally waited until THE END OF MY MEAL to get our things! My husband even said she rolled her eyes and looked annoyed at me for asking for my raisin bread toast (which I'd already done twice super politely); I eventually had to ask the manager for the bread since apparently getting four pieces of toast was difficult for her. She literally had two tables she was taking care of. Us, and the other table right by us. Honestly, if she can't manage two tables, I don't know what she's doing working at a diner. Oh! It's probably because while we were waiting for our toast and country ham to come out (which we had to ask for two times each) she was busy flirting with the manager RIGHT BESIDE US. My husband and I were literally looking at each other and no words needed to be spoken--"What a crappy waitress." While your guests are waiting for literally half of their meal (which she forgot!!) you're flirting with your boss? Seriously? And on top of that, the boss was just staring out the window and flirting back instead of checking on tables! And on top of THAT, our waitress (her name is Michelle, just so you don't have to deal with horrible service) started cleaning our table (not pre-bussing, but literally CLEANING) while we were still eating. Honestly, if she was like a new waitress who kept messing up and apologizing, that's fine. I was a new waitress once upon a time--but this waitress? SHE WAS NOT APOLOGETIC WHATSOEVER. She made us feel as if WE were the ones who screwed up, when it reality she would rather flirt with the boss than actually get an order right. I'm honestly just mostly upset about her attitude and lack of customer service than anything else. She literally rolled her eyes and sized me up as if I were competition or something. What is that? Like I've said, I've waitressed forever and that was the exact example of what NOT to do with guests. When you waitress, you smile, you apologize, and you do whatever you can to make your guest feel appreciated and valued--THAT'S how you earn a tip. You don't get tipped for crap service, but for good service--which is why we left NOTHING. On a positive note. The food (when it finally came out the right way) was pretty awesome though and for a good price. I got a standard egg, bacon, toast breakfast and a chocolate chip waffle which was pretty bomb! When I went to pay out, our hostess who was super friendly smiled and asked how our experience was, and I told her that the food was great! And that's all. I say go to the Waffle House on Bonita Rd. Otherwise, if you do come here, make sure your waitress isn't Michelle. Unless you want absolutely mediocre service. I seriously am in shock at how horrendous the service was. read more

I was in town visiting family for Thanksgiving and that morning I wanted to get some breakfast. I figured the food must have been pretty good due to the place being packed. I asked the young gentleman to clean the booth and he did so, which I greatly appreciated. The staff was very welcome and friendly!!! I ordered scrambled eggs, toast, hash browns, and a medium-well steak. I must say everything was good, but the way they cooked the steak was so delicious and seasoned to perfection. The person I dined with only ordered a Lemonade. She complimented the staff on how delightful it was. Food was typical Waffle House, our waitress could have been friendlier and smiled or something. She kinda acted like we took a seat she was saving for her best friend, if ya know what I mean. Her name was Leah, I looked at her name badge. Service wasn't bad, it was just minimal. We would have gladly doubled our tip if she stepped up her game a little. Example: I asked for scrambled eggs well done, they arrive runny, she didn't catch it and I didn't send them back. When she brought our food to the table there was no bacon and she didn't say a thing but 2 minutes later she brings the bacon. It would be nice to be told, 'the rest of your order will be up in a minute' or something. There is also either a condensation problem or a roof leaking problem. In the entry way there was a bucket catching drips of water that I'm guessing was from the rain the previous night. There was water dripping out of 2 of the fluorescent light fixtures?!?
