Karen really gives you the sense that not only does she love her job (who wouldn't love being able to play with dogs all day) but she genuinely cares about the dogs she walks and cares for. She helped my wife and I out with a very difficult situation where I was out every weekday for two months before we moved out of the Richmond area. It was very evident that our dog's attitude and demeanor improved whenever Karen walked her. Taking a photo of our dog each day was a big plus especially since I was away during the week. It brought me a lot of happiness to know my girl was content without me there. I've recently become what I call "a single dog mom." My partner moves cross country for 6 months for a job. So I'm left alone with our dog Oggy. THANK GOODNESS FOR KAREN! It has been quite the adjustment for me not having the help of my partner and doing this on my on, but Karen has been the BIGGEST help. Oggy loves visiting with her and always appreciates the walks she takes him on and the time they spend together. I know longer have to worry about him being okay when I'm gone for a long weekend. Karen is excellent with dogs! She's passionate, accommodating, friendly, yet still professional! You can have 100% trust in Karen that your pet and even your home, will be well looked after while you're gone. She sends text updates with pictures (if you choose too which I always do) so you can get an idea of what your dog did that day. She even gave me updates on a storm that was happening in the area while I was out of town, with pics! She even keeps you informed on what's going on the the neighborhood! Anyway, I highly suggest that you work with Karen if you need some help with your dog, whether is a long weekend or just a couple of walks a week. Your pet will love it. Not only do my wife and I think Karen is awesome, Dodger thinks she's the best! Dodger is our 85-pound Pit/Great Dane mix, and though we've tried to break him of the behavior, he literally jumps up to lick Karen's face when she comes through the door. His whole body wags with excitement, because they have so much fun together. Recently, Karen sat for Dodger while we were getting married, and he'd unfortunately just been attacked by another dog. She gave him his meds, took him to his vet appointment, and we felt super comfortable knowing that someone so knowledgeable and responsible was caring for our baby. I can't say enough great things about Karen and the service, comfort, and peace of mind she offers! We are new to Richmond and ran into issues with a boarding facility we used where we picked up our boy matted, sorry, and with a giant hot spot and shaved chest. We called Karen on a whim based on her excellent reviews and she responded right away, scheduled to come meet our Bernese mountain dog, Doug- and had us covered! She is so thorough in her meet and greet and really made us feel at ease, and I am a total worry wart when it comes to my pup! Doug needed special medication and care and Karen was really confident and it was obvious this was not her first rodeo. She texted us when she arrived and kept us up-to-date on her visits, sending awesome pics and keeping us in the loop!
