This place is above average. The prices are fair and the food is pretty good. The staff was attentive and kept our drinks filed.

I was very pleased with this place. They served us food even though the kitchen was closing in just a few minuets. I got the ham panini which was amazing. Very light portion. I sat outside because my friend brought his dog. The inside looked great. They had ping pong, Darts, a big bar and very clean bathrooms. Kinda of a run of the mill home town bar feel. Great place!!! We were on a quick overnight stay in Macon and needed some decent food after eating fast food all day on the road. Wagers was just a couple blocks from our hotel so we grabbed our two large dogs and headed there. The patio had heaters running which were perfect to keep us warm on a cool evening. Chris and Allie were great with us bringing our dogs to hang out while we dined. The service by Chris and Allie was super fast all the way around! Our appetizer of onion rings came out fast, hot, and delicious. Every item for dinner was delicious. My husband said his steak was perfect! He can be picky, and I wondered if he was making a good choice when he ordered a steak from a 'bar and grille', but it was delicious, and he said he would order it again! Yesterday, my wife and I stopped by at 2:00 pm just to see the Live Music schedule and stayed till 4:30 pm, we played pool, had some beers and relaxed. This was our first time here. The service was ok. Our server didn't seem too enthused to serve (maybe he was having a bad day). I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon. It was tough, but hot. The bread tasted old. Fries were good once I added salt. I also had a long island and i could barely drink it. In a day and age when the big chain restaurants want to run the show it's refreshing to sit down and have a great meal at a privately owned establishment such as Wagers. The Wager burger is to die for. Five guys needs to take note. Bring your appetite because it's a man-size sandwich. I was staying at a nearby hotel for a week before I moved to Warner Robins area for work I ended up coming here because it was really close and the Yelp reviews were good. Kinda felt weird because some might call this a "dive bar" so I was skeptical of getting food here. Sat at the bar and ordered a drink and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He recommended the Blackened Ribeye so that's why I ordered. It was incredible! Cooked perfectly and brought out on a sizzling hot skillet. So much flavor and just so good. I've been 3 times now and drive a little over an hour round trip just to come here. Highly recommended, and don't let the location or the look of the building fool you.
