First of all, to all parents, please, if you've been here and work was not done on your child,…read moreimmediately check with your insurance to see if they've charged them for false work. Our daughter was here due to some cavities, the doctor saw an issue with her tonsils and wanted us to have her checked by an ENT. (We did not know, but during this, they charged a cleaning that was not done.) We went and got everything done so she can be seen, our daughter had her tonsils removed. We make a new appointment and show up. Now, we let our daughter have one tsp of oatmeal because she ate too early the night before bed. Well we get turned away and they don't make another appointment till feb next year! The way they treated us due to our mistake was unacceptable and the care was not ok. What's worse, is they charged a filling that was not done!!! How do you charge our insurance for work that was not done?! We've gone to a better dentist office and they are the ones who notified us of these charges and as I write this, our daughter is getting her work done. I am currently on the phone with our insurance and with proof, we are dealing with these false charges on our account. We're speaking with our attorney also and will be seeing what other steps can be taken.

Absolute dental just did a cleaning haphazardly only probably 10 minutes to clean my child's teeth. They used to be thorough. The doctor came out and said oh she needs 7 sealants and they will charge close to thousands of dollars for this if you add your copay and how much they will charge the insurance. You have to analyze your EOB. Terrible experience. Clinic became a milking cow.too scammy for me now. Dr Saxe did not use to do that. But ABSOLUTE DENTAL is a business . Poor quality. I think even the dentists are employed and oriented to charge more. Poor dentists too

Our pediatrician office uses Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry and I had a really great first impression upon calling and speaking to staff. She explained and taught me so much over the phone since I had questions such as cost, recovery ect. Fast forward to day of appt. Didn't know the office is on the 6th floor and only a certain set of elevators go to this floor in the building! I think when patients are making a NP appt, a heads up about this is necessary. It took over 10 mins for the elevator to arrive and get on. I also went to a different set the first time and ended up being a bit late. However, one of his teeth was infected & my son was very nervous about an experience a few years back that caused him a lot of pain during an extraction. So we received a referral to Smile Reef. SO glad we did. Dr. Sodhi was SO amazing!! She was kind, reassuring and walked my son through the entire process. Joseph, her assistant, was super sweet and very efficient. With the help of the laughing gas, which he loved btw, he felt NO pain. We went in planning on have 3 teeth removed but they ended up removing 6 total...no more baby teeth. I highly recommend Smile Reef. Staff and Dr were amazing, only wish I had found them soon :-)

He's been coming here since he was about 9, after we tried a few other dentists before finding the right fit. Because Arjuna is on the spectrum, many places told me I'd need to pay over $1,000 to put him fully to sleep just to examine him. At Smile Reef, they truly understand their patients. Arjuna only needed laughing gas, and he did amazingly well. We are so grateful for Dr. Sodhi and the entire team--their patience, kindness, and care mean everything to our family. Thank you for always taking such great care of Arjuna.

I was also charged a late fee for rescheduling my daughter's appointment, something that didn't happen before. When I inquired, the front desk explained that with the new insurance coordinator, the office has become stricter with billing, including fees for minor issues. I requested a courtesy waiver for the fee, but they refused, citing office policy. Additionally, the staff under the new management are not as courteous or friendly as before. They come across as focused primarily on money rather than patient care, which creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. Overall, the experience feels transactional rather than patient-centered. I would not recommend this office and suggest seeking dental services elsewhere.

Other offices pushed unnecessary, expensive treatments, but Desert Kids Dental did not. The hygienist, dentist, and receptionist were all professional and friendly. My kids loved the toothpaste flavors and were very excited about the mochi squishy reward (important for kids!). Now they don't even want to wait six months for their next visit. Highly recommend Desert Kids Dental! Today (January 7, 2026) was our second visit for a regular cleaning and a tooth removal (as requested by the orthodontist). Once again, we were very satisfied with the service provided. It was easy to schedule an appointment that accommodated our orthodontist visit. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. She gave me an accurate estimate of the out-of-pocket cost for the tooth removal, and no unnecessary or extra services were requested or pushed by the doctor. The entire visit was pleasant. I'm so glad I found them on Yelp.

I want to start by saying Dr. Thompson herself has always been wonderful. She has been kind,…read moreinformative, and my son has always felt comfortable with her. Unfortunately, the front office/financial communication has been so unprofessional and mishandled that I can no longer continue care here. In November, we came in for my son's cleaning. I provided the updated insurance card and specifically asked the front desk if the visit was covered. I was told yes. Once we were taken back, sealants were recommended. Again, I specifically asked if they were covered by insurance, and again I was told yes. At the next checkup, I was told the office still had not received a response from insurance regarding the November visit. Since it was still unclear, I asked what the cash-pay option would be for my son's cleaning. I was told it would be $246. I agreed to pay that amount so my son could be seen, although I expressed disappointment about the lack of communication. At that time, the staff member apologized and acknowledged the poor communication. Today, I showed up prepared to pay the $246 I was quoted, only to be told there was an outstanding balance from November of over $500 that had to be paid before my son could be seen. This was never clearly communicated to me. Had I been told that in advance, I would not have taken time out of my day to bring my son in under the impression that we were paying the cash-pay cleaning fee. Instead of taking accountability, the front desk staff had an attitude and tried to shift responsibility to the insurance verifier. This is not a small miscommunication. This is now multiple failures to clearly explain insurance, benefits, balances, and what would be required at the appointment. To make matters worse, I was originally told services were covered, then later told insurance was still being verified, then quoted a cash-pay amount, and then turned away in office unless I paid a balance I was not properly informed about. That feels like a bait-and-switch. This office also previously sold me a $500 mouthguard appliance for my son's grinding, despite knowing he has asthma and already struggles with breathing. His pediatrician later strongly advised against him wearing it at night due to safety concerns. To their credit, the office refunded me once they were made aware of the issue, and I let it go because we liked Dr. Thompson. But combined with this latest situation, I can no longer ignore the pattern. There are many children's dental offices in Las Vegas, and families deserve clear, honest communication before services are performed and before they arrive for appointments. The dentist may be great, but the front office and financial communication here are unacceptable. Whatever response the office gives to justify this does not change the fact that I repeatedly asked about coverage, was repeatedly given incorrect or incomplete information, and my son was ultimately refused care after I arrived prepared to pay the amount they quoted me. I would not recommend this office unless they make major changes to how they communicate insurance, balances, and treatment costs with parents.
