Asked for nails to be cut and buffed. Picked her up and first thing she does is cut me. They also said her mouth was wet cause she drooled. I had this dog for nearly a decade and never seen her drool. The last few days since she got home she been having diarrhea everywhere. Doesn't take a scientist to know their dog water is never changed or they gave her something to eat we didn't approve, do not recommend! read more

This was my first visit to Waggy Tail for my Goldendoodle's first grooming appointment. The receptionist was very professional and friendly. WT is a very clean facility with many pet products available for purchase. My puppy's grooming was completed in a timely manner with a phone contact when he was ready to be picked up. I am leaving a 4 star rating because WT does not require dogs that are groomed to bring in their vaccination record. It's only required for boarding. read more

Brought my dog for his bath at 8am. When I called 2 hours later, he still hadn't been touched and I was told he wouldn't be ready till the afternoon. I don't wake up early, nor make an appointment for my dog to be stuck in a cage! To make Ut worse, they knew they had other appointments and just didn't care. Enjoy the experience. I was just there to pick up a gift card (no puppies at my home) and had a great time! Yes, it seemed pricey for grooming to me but it appears that they keep your kid-do most of the day with play and treats. Everyone was very nice, including the clients with their "children" in tow. My time in and out was fast, but I was asked a lot of questions about the "doggy" I was getting the gift card for. It appears "ankle biter" is not a breed (or so they they say) but with their help I think we got the right amount of a gift. There was a also a cool window cat in the shop and the location is perfect. It smelled fresh, was clean and just felt good. read more

Reconsider boarding your pets here....I from out of town and decided to board my two babies (6 month old frenchie and 3 yr old Boston terrier) for less than 48 hrs and they smelled worse than wet dogs. I was satisfied with their spa treatment 2 days before at their other location and made the decision to use them again. It should of been a red flag when I dropped them off especially when she asked if they were fed for the day at 3pm and made a comment on how sharp my Boston Terrier's nails were (hence she didn't say anything when I told her I paid $48 the day before for his grooming service at their other location in Fairhope). The receptionist was not friendly, had me fill out their forms, didn't care to read it and took them back without an explanation on their plan of care. I had to come back in and ask what their plans on feeding, boarding status and how often they plan on letting my pups out. Please think twice before boarding your pups here!!!!!!! read more

Paralyzed maltese, Boarded my two maltese & had them groomed over weekend, Yesterday, Waggy Tail called & said one of my baby's back legs not working. The vet & X-rays show traumatic spinal cord injury. Have & will have high vet bills. Waggy Tail denied mishandling; said owner would call; haven't herd from him. Don't think think it's locally owned; hire kids during the summer; high turn over. My baby has been shaking & in a lot of pain; refuses to eat or drink. read more

Took my furbaby in for her first grooming visit with them. They did a wonderful job. My dog doesn't like bathing or grooming so I was really expecting a large bill, but it was very reasonable, we even got a gift bag full of doggy goodies. Everyone was very friendly. Never going here again‼ I never really liked this place because they never cut her how I ask... I only go here when everywhere else is booked... well today I brought her, a man cut her that has never cut her before. He cut her schnauzer skirt off for 1. 2, when I went to check out my total was $68... I've ALWAYS paid around $50-$55 in the 7 years I've been bringing her there. I check her for Matts because I know they charge extra, and usually I pay $55 if she has them. Well no, I always check her before I leave so I don't have to pay more. She had one on her arm and I cut it off and brushed her out. He kept telling me she has Matts in her toes. Um no she didn't. She's never had them in her toes if she has them they are usually by her arm pits. And I checked her whole body and she didn't have any. Then he asked me if I had a comb.. umm YES I have a comb I own a miniature schnauzer!! Oh wait there's more.. he said "they have definitely been charging you wrong" EXCUSE ME, for 7 years they have been charging me wrong?! On top of all that she always seems loopy when I leave there so I'm not sure what they give them. But yeah. I've had it with this place. Will not be returning. read more

Took my babies for the weekend to their Pet Hotel and they seemed happy and well cared for when we picked them up. I cannot express how happy I am to have found a place I can trust to leave my dogs when I need to head out of town. They also bathed and trimmed their nails for me as requested. My papillon was shaking when I picked her up. She has now pooped in the house everyday since leaving that place (not the norm for her). She smelled of urine (from her head to her tail) when we picked her up. I honestly don't think they take the dogs out at all. She appeared skinnier as well. read more

Three years ago I had the worst service there and my experience with the staff was absolutely horrible. They do NOT treat pets well there!! I boarded my special needs golden doodle there for four days while we went out of town. (He's slightly crippled due to a bone deformation and also has some digestive issues treated with medication and prescription food daily.) I left detailed instructions with my dog's food split into daily bags along with toys, treats and his pill regimen. (He was on pain pills, special food and digestive long-term antibiotic he'd been on for two years at that point.) We got back to town and my dog hadn't been given his special food that he gets for his medication nor his pills for 4 days!!! When I voiced my concerns and asked why the pills and food were still in his bag I got a shoulder shrug and an "Oh, I dunno" from the lady. She never even said that she was sorry. After not getting any real response from her, I left and called and left a detailed concerned message for the owner. When the owner called me two days later to apologize, he said she was a relative that was "very pregnant" and that he couldn't make a better excuse. He admitted her fault and said he was sorry, but he couldn't fix it. I was horrified that being pregnant was an excuse for him as to why my dog wasn't taken care of for 4 days! Saying he was sorry after the fact really didn't make up for the fact that my special needs dog wasn't treated for FOUR DAYS. The stomach upset that my dog had for three days afterwards only drove that fact home for us. Poor thing. Yup, we'll never go back and I warn all of my friends to never take their dogs there. Seriously, don't take your fur children there! It is now three years later and I STILL tell people about my experience from Waggy Tail. Just a nightmare that can't ever be made better. read more
