Our last three visits have been frustrating, but this final experience was the breaking point. I brought my Border Collie in with very specific, detailed instructions for a "pet trim" to improve her comfort and hygiene: Detailed scissoring and blending on the legs to avoid blunt, choppy cuts. Thinning shears to reduce density on her tail while maintaining the "flag" look. A "tunnel belly" and sanitary trim for cooling. Instead of the skilled scissor work I requested, they took the absolute "easy way out." They finished her entire grooming in 30 minutes (it usually takes an hour), and when I picked her up, she had been shaved to a 1/8th inch "puppy cut" all over. For a double-coated breed, this is devastating to their ability to regulate temperature. When I called to address this, they claimed I asked for an "all-over trim." In what world does a request for a blended, functional trim result in a total shave-down? To make matters worse, the staff member hung up on me, saying they were "really busy" and offered zero accommodation or apology for ignoring my instructions. It is incredibly disappointing to see a business treat a long-time customer with such blatant disregard. They clearly prioritize speed and high turnover over actual grooming technique and customer service. We will not be returning.

I book my dog's appointments online - they send out reminders and text notifications when grooming is almost complete. My dog always comes home adorable, soft, smelling good and they always send her off with a cute bandana. They take really great care of my dog!

Left to groom somewhere else. Then I took on another groomer there by the name of Isabella. Used her a few times and was very happy. Things started to change every 6/8 weeks when I brought my two Mini schnauzers in to get groomed. Each time the price kept going up. From $65 to $95 dollars in a matter of months. She also stated each time that my dogs had mats, which they did not, and tried to charge me more for that! Last appt was at 10am, and my dogs were still sitting in cages at 3PM with Isabella nowhere to be found. Again, tried to charge me $95 per dog!!!! Had an appt on 5/25, Isabella cancelled on me. Made the appt for Tues. 5/26 at 10am. Still waiting for Isabella to arrive and it was 10:40. Next thing I know, the lady at the front desk calls Isabella, then proceeds to tell me that Isabella doesn't want to groom my dogs!!!! Bottom line, DON'T USE ISABELLA!!!!! NOT RELIABLE AT ALL!!!!!! USE TINA, GREAT GROOMER ALL-AROUND!!!!!

There was a petite young woman who doted on the dogs and her work was very personal to her. In the last 6-8 moths, the quality has gone down, cuts uneven, runs in their coat, bare spots behing their legs. Last time we went they were running 2 hours late (had the dogs for 7 hours). They had some runs like the last few times, but we looked the other way. This last time, one of our dogs, shook his head at night (something was bothering him), 6 hrs after we picked him up and there as a wet cottonball stuck in his ear. He had a rash in his inner thigh and was licking it. Over the last week, he has been shaking his head a lot more, the rash lightened. Went to the Vet. $330 later, 2 yeast infections vet said likely from the cottonballs in his ear for so long, and because of the scratching, an ear infection in the other. They have floppy ears and I neve thought of checking their ears after a cut. I wish they could have been more careful and cared for them more. I also understand they were recently sold (not sure how recent) and the older reviews do not necessarily represent current management.

First impression you cannot miss when you meet Dora's at Petaleashous is her caring approach to the pet she is asked to groom. Indeed, she is more interested in the welfare of our beloved "fur balls" that anything else. Sometimes and it happened to my senior 14 years old Golden Retriever, she did cut short or totally not proceed with certain grooming services in order not to stress out my dog or hurt (arthritis) in my Golden's case. That was very considerate of her and I am sure my Golden did appreciate it as well too. When this happened, Dora was cognoscente and adjusted her service fee accordingly.... Her services have always exceeded expectations, and it showed that she really takes care of the well-being of the pet, "the pet first" I remembered her saying to me once. Before using Petaleahous Mobile Pet Grooming, I used to take my Golden to the PetCo's of the world and was charged more and with okey results... We could rest easy our pup's in good hands. Nothing felt rushed. Most importantly, it really does feel like they care about the animals. Our 30lb mini golden doodle required some dematting ($15 fee)--took about 3.5 hours. Scheduling was via text/phone call. Hopefully they'll have online scheduling soon too. They're new to the neighborhood and definitely worth checking out! -cage free -compassionate & attentive staff -comparable prices to other local groomers -text and video updates -pup looks and smells great!

I was recommended Old Towne Pet Resort by a coworker, and I will now be recommending them too!…read more I called to make a 2-week dog boarding reservation 30-days in advance for the peak Christmas season, and they miraculously had availability at one of their three locations (Bethesda). The gentleman on the phone was so helpful and informative and made it easy. When it came time to drop my dog off the staff were so friendly and kind, and they were extremely attentive and took detailed notes of all the items I brought with my dog and any of her quirks (e.g., severe allergies, doesn't play well with others, etc.). The space was so clean and large. I felt very reassured dropping her off as I went on vacation. When I came back to get her, the staff was helpful and, again, extremely kind and talked about her time there with details that were definitely unique to my dog. She was happy, healthy, clean, and well groomed. All of her toys and leash items were accounted for and they even ran a toy out to my car that they had forgotten in her kennel. Bottom line: 5/5 do recommend!

I was so embarrassed when we arrived because my little demon decided to take a number two right in the lobby. The staff didn't flinch and assured me they would take care of it. They checked us in just like they would do for me when I visit a spa and ushered him away for his grooming appointment. They called me a few hours later to say my boy was ready but I told them I wouldn't be able to get him until a couple of hours later. The agent said that was fine and I could get him anytime before closing. Mind you, I dropped him off before 10 am. So I'm basically getting free daycare along with the grooming fee. Which I also didn't pay for because I had a complimentary visit! I gave a nice tip when I picked him up and he rounded the corner with a glorious mane. I couldn't stop laughing because he was blown out to the GAWDS. Anyway, we will be back and I know it will be worth it.
