I am normally a devoted Bachmans shopper, but I was out and about and figured I might as well check out one of the local options nearby. Wagners is impressively huge... when you pull into the big parking lot, the building stretches on and on. I did find the layout slightly confusing. I kind of had to wander around for awhile before I figured out which way to go to get outside, inside or over to the cash registers. The inside portion of the store is small with an abundance of pots that you can buy. I enjoyed looking at the many options because I hadn't seen many of them before. It was a really impressive display. But I did find it odd that there were no yard decor type items (I've been looking for a spinner) and the section with the different types of soil was very small and right up front by the registers. Seemed like they sell a very limited selection of Miracle Gro soil products and that's it. Maybe I missed a larger section outside or something, totally possible. Also the inside area of the store had zero ventilation and was really hot and stuffy. Inside the greenhouse area, the plants are magnificent. Big, beautiful and abundant. I almost bought an entire tray of salvia because they were just so darn pretty before talking myself off the ledge ("You need to have a place in mind to plant them BEFORE you buy them, self!") and putting them regrettably back in place. Staff was generally friendly. Would definitely come back if I was in the area but not sure I'd make a special trip.

Excellent local garden center which grows many of its own plants. Main location on Penn Ave has existed in SW Mpls since 1907. Family owned.

It is smaller, but what's inside is great - a lot of variety that you would find at Gerten's.

I come here every spring (so in Minnesota that's usually late May) to get the annuals I need for my garden. They have dozens of overflowing hanging baskets in any color you want. Impatiens (my favorites) by the hundreds, plus tomatoes, herbs, lettuce, peppers, corn, spinach - all the things I would love to grow but for the deer and rabbits that live in my backyard nature preserve! Over the years I have expanded my garden with perennials and Bachman's has the organic bug killers and fertilizers to keep them beautiful. As a purple card member, I also get special discounts and sales which are always fun. Today I got grass seed for the dog spots in my yard, tiny gloves so my grandson could help me plant the impatiens and herbs, and a fun experience watching a four-year-old ooh and aah over all the rows and rows of beautiful flowers. But no, I did not buy the rose tree he wanted. I'm not that good a gardener! I let him pick sedum. Something even I can't kill....!

We had 3 dance parties in the private bathrooms because she just couldn't get enough. Food wise- it's ok. You can't go wrong with burrata. The lobster roll was a little disappointing. A smallish roll with a bit of lobster resting on the top. Sides are a la cart. I forget which steak we ordered but it was decent. It was cooked nicely and had good flavor. The menu is half fancy half diner. You can get a burger and chocolate chip cookies or steak and affogato. The value is in the aesthetics and not the food. Don't expect the best meal of your life or you'll be disappointed. Catch the sunset for a lovely glow around the fountain and chandeliers.

You are definitely paying for the vibes here! That said, the food left a lot to be desired. The menu was pretty limited, which was my first issue, and the food itself just didn't live up to the price. I had a burger that tasted like it came from a frozen patty rather than something freshly made. Overall, the flavors and quality just didn't match my expectations. Overall, the location is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and engaging, so my experience was great. My food just wasn't as equally great
