I love this place ! It's so cute and adorable ! It is always filled with some many great animals and humans! Sometimes I just visit to see the animals that are in that week. Some times there are pigs, goats, lambs, ducks, puppies, kitties, bunnies, and there are always chickens! The shop keepers are always very well informed and kind. I was a part of the bunny show this year that was put on by wagon train, it was a blast! So many folks came out from far and wide to share their love of small animals. My bunny, Little Prince, won second place ! I'm still very proud of him. There's always a great selection of pellets, hay, and they also sell HUGE bags of bedding. It's great. I always go here for my bunny essentials. (I have two bunnies so we go through a lot of bedding and food). I appreciate all the other animals shows that are hosted by wagon train. I was also able to attend the chicken show and saw some rather interesting looking chickens! I also love to feed ducks , so they have quality duck and chicken food that I can use to feed ducks with that are a much healthier alternative to bread. read more

We got our dog groomed here and they were fabulous! Great customer service! They were fast but thorough and had great prices!

I came here to purchase female chicks. Initially, the clerk who I was talking with had some useful information but wasn't very friendly. I called to pre-order one month in advance and then was informed the day they became available that I needed to get there as early as possible to make sure I actually got some. So what's the point of pre ordering? After purchasing 4 chicks, one turned out to be a rooster. When I called to ask them what they could do to help me with returning the rooster, they were very rude and told me there's no way I could know if it was a rooster or not. Then they told me they charge 20$ to rehome the roosters. Later on, I found out from some locals that this store has 50-70% chance of getting a rooster but the store claims it's only 10% chance. Overall, the customer service here is the reason for the one star review. read more

DO NOT take your unwanted roosters to Wagon Train. The owner, Margaret, doesn't care about them and gives the roosters to someone questionable. I asked her where the roosters go; she said that they go to a guy who had multiple acres, "right now." I was suspicious, so I pressed her for more answers; she said he doesn't really feed them because they just forage on the property. My guess is the guy is either eating or fighting them. Either way, it isn't a good situation for the roosters. She charges $20 to take them, only to send them off to a bad situation. read more

We live locally and use Wagon Train a lot for supplies and vet services. Margaret is as good as they come, and knows lots about the "other" pets. We bring out goats, chickens, turkeys, turtle (yes we live with all these pets), and our dogs too. In addition, they are one of the few places you can "rent" an incubator to hatch your own eggs (they supply area schools with the gear). Came in here with the thinking it was a feed store for all animals (horses). There was a woman and a male at the counter. It was apparent the woman was the person in charge as the male was getting confirmation on something. Neither one looked at me, acknowledged me or said anything. I was looking for dog gifts...with that type of customer service which was my first impression (having never been in the store_...it was also my last impression as I waited for a moment and then turned around and walked right out the door. This is a nice place and seems to be the only place in the area to buy a chicken coop and chicks year round. The place is really small and packed, but very well organized. People are constantly running in and out having their animals groomed. I've been thinking about getting chickens for months, and much to the displeasure of my wife have purchased a chicken tractor (for over $100 less than available online) and will be going back for chicks (or pullets if in stock). They are a one stop shop for backyard chickens. The place isn't perfect looking or for those who expect a glass of champagne when they walk through the door, but they certainly know their stuff and are willing to help. read more

We have 3 dachshunds and a Great Dane and all the dogs loved getting baths here! We came in 2 days ago and it was our first time here. They show great care to all dogs, small and XL alike. I had to give specific instructions that none of the dogs were allowed to give treats as I have taken my Great Dane to other dog washes and he has gotten sick. My dogs were perfect when I picked them up! This place was really quick, I was able to do a couple errands and grab lunch and then pick the dogs up. The employees are super friendly and nice to all the animals, as they do have a variety for sale (lamb, goats, chicks, rabbits, cats, puppies, etc.) however it seems like they mainly take special requests, they don't normally have a lot of animals in the store regularly on standby for sale. We also bought 2 new dogs beds and a collar, all reasonably priced with great quality. If you're looking for a local dog wash/pet shop this is a great place to go! read more

Took my 3 dogs here for the first time to be groomed. Met with the groomers and told them exactly how I wanted my dogs groomed. Gave them written instructions for each dog. Also brought another dog in with me to show them what I wanted. They were very friendly, professional and courteous. Price quoted was reasonable.I felt confident they understood me and I would get a good job. Sadly, when I picked the dogs up 4 hours later, I saw they paid little attention to my instructions. The dogs looked pretty bad. Nothing like what I asked for. However, they were clean and smelled good. I took them home and started re-grooming to make them look better. As for the dog that got bushwhacked, I can't glue his ears, tail or beard back on so I will have to wait 6+ months for them to grow back. It's too bad this happened as they have lost my business. They could have had 3 new dogs to groom on a regular basis. Maybe they are busy enough and don't need new customers? I am bummed. I have been taking my dogs to get groomed here for seven years. The groomers are kind, professional and skilled. I haven't ever had an issue with them. I bought my daughter a rabbit at Wagon Train eight years ago and he was healthy and happy. I like the sort of small town feel of this place and I love supporting small, local businesses. I get my dog groomed here and they do a great job. My doggie seems to like going to his groomer (always the same one and she is sweet and obviously a dog lover). They are a little disorganized and haven't been able to find our file a few times. I don't love the animal mill feel of it (always a baby goat or pig or puppy, plus bunnies and kittens, for sale), but we all love petting and playing with the super cute baby animals. And honestly, I've been tempted to take home a baby goat or pig on several occasions. We tried to hatch chickens once for a science project. That didn't work out well (sad, gross, bad idea unless you REALLY know what you're doing). Never again. They have a wide variety of products for sale and seem to be selective about which products they carry. Everyone is friendly and helpful and I will keep going to our groomer for sure. read more

I am forever grateful to have found this place! There 3 beautiful animal loving women that I me here today ( Meryl, Alyssa, and Reagan) Thank God people like them still exsist!! My neighbors had been complaining about my roosters and the day i dreaded most arrived "/ Crying the whole drive here, that changed because of these ladies :') so welcoming, so gentle, so so helpful. The store itself is very cute. We always like to come in and see the cute animals. This review is pertaining to a specific employee. My husband and I brought my daughter to the pet store on Sunday 8/13/17 at about 10:30 am. We were looking at a cute puppy and petting her through the crate. After that we moved on the the baby goat. Super sweet animals. As we were petting the goat, the young man employee picked up the puppy and walked around with her. Quietly in the background I heard, "Dont bite me or I"ll put my finger down your throat again." I was for certain that I heard him wrong so I let it be. My daughter and I kept looking at the goat and also at the little chicks and bunny. Then I heard it again! The employee repeated himself and I called him out. "Oh is that what you do?" He told me he mostly does it to the kittens. I was a little shocked and and told him that's just kinda what puppy's and kittens do.They bite, their teeth are growing. There are other ways to stop them from biking us. THEN he comes over to the goat that we were looking at and says to the goat, "Are you still mad at me for force feeding you your bottle?" Who in the hell is this employee?? Who hired him?? If that's what he is doing, sticking his finger down the baby animals throats and force feeding the goats, then just keep it to yourself, or better yet, don't do that!! Why is he talking to the animals when he knows customers can hear? Completely unprofessional and super weird. Horrible employee. My family and I will continue to go in the store but if we see him again I will call him out even more. read more

Have used them for dog grooming in the past without problems. Today after leaving my dog with them for 2 hours they said they needed 2 more hours. I took my dog home instead as I did not want to subject him to 2 more hours in a crate in a crowded room with a ton of noise and commotion going on. No offer from the owner to make things right. She just agreed with me when I said you should not book appointments you cannot keep. Time to look for a new groomer read more

We recently bought a bunny from here after everyone recommended their store. The staff was not overly nice or friendly at all and a day after bringing our bunny home she was completely infested with fleas. After a vet visit, medicine, bombing our entire house, taking our dog to the groomer, bath for the bunny and an hour of combing all the fleas out of her, she's great. What disappoints me most is I called the store to tell them because there were quite a few other rabbits in the area with her and I never got a "sorry" or anything. They only thing they said was that they have flea spray there we can come and buy for her. Update as of 2/27/17 I just saw the response from the store owner which actually has me extremely upset. My initial review was regarding our rabbit and the fact that when we brought her home she had fleas. We called right away and told you guys and you knew exactly who we were so telling me that you get many calls from people about animal health is ridiculous. Our rabbit ended up only living two weeks due to negligence from your pet store. We called you a few days later to tell you she was in the hospital fighting for her life because she contacted a deadly disease due to being caged with guinea pigs in your store. When I came in for a refund, I was told we could pick out a new bunny like it was replacing a toy for my young children who are still completely heartbroken over the entire experience. At the time, our rabbit had not died and we as owners felt the responsibility to do what we needed to to get her well. $2000 later she did not make it but was never given a fair chance from the start because of your store. You obviously do not care about the feelings of the owners or the future of your other rabbits because just today you posted another picture of a guinea pig and rabbit together. I'm truly appalled by this and the lack of heart you have towards your animals. read more
