Awesome local watering hole with good food! Brought the grandparents and kids out for some time near the lake. We decided to eat next to the Madison Township park before walking around. Plenty of parking along the park. Inside first you see the bar, then a large open area with plenty of tables and chairs. It was great because the grownups could sit and the kids could prance around the dance floor without bothering anyone. They also had an awesome Godzilla pinball machine in the corner that we enjoyed while waiting for our food. At our table we tried the smash burgers, pizza, steak salads, onion rings, fried mushrooms, fries, mozzarella sticks. Everything was good, served hot, and satisfying. Draft beer was cold and served in glass pint glasses. Lemonade for the kids was in cute plastic cups with lids and straws. The mozzarella sticks were huge, more like bars than sticks. The pizza crust is brushed with garlic butter, which tastes fantastic, and there were plenty of napkins provided to wipe our hands. Bathrooms were nice and clean. It was a perfect choice for us before heading to the playground. The bartender served us at our table. Service was fantastic. I only saw her serving all the customers at the bar and tables. I don't know how she did it. She was always checking on us and there when we needed something and kept our glasses full. Next time we are in Madison we will definitely be back. read more

Nice neighborhood pub with cheap drinks and decent food. We visited on a Saturday night and sat at the bar and ordered our food. The Nacho burger was alright but was lacking seasoning. We also tried the shrimp burger which my wife enjoyed. This pub has weekly events and the event we went to was mechanical bull night. The service was decent with the bartenders checking in on us regularly. I would definitely come back to Wagon wheel for a night of cheap drinks and food. read more

I travel for a living and was looking for a mom and pop shop. I stumbled upon the wagon wheel and bar. I was there on a Tuesday night so it was wing night. I ordered their 20 boneless wings with the habanoro and bacon jam. It was very delicious. A little sweet and smokey with a little kick, highly recommend. The owner is who served me and took care of me. He is a young entrepreneur trying to make a living. He was very kind and friendly. Will definitely be back in my future visits to eat again. read more

I stop in often they have a really great variety of food. Chicken wings are a must some of the best in town. Blooming onion is good rare find in madison and a really good stromboli. Always delicious and friendly as the dickens! Boneless wings are good - lightly coated and fried not gross over crispy - the sweet pepper something SO good! The sweet potato fries - YUM. Salads good. Nachos good. All you can eat fish fry on Fridays - double yum! Bacon cheddar Swiss burger yes please. Calzones deliciously good. Chicken parm, cabbage rolls and meatloaf all tasty. Potato skins so good! Hubbers likes their steak. Daily specials are pretty decent too - $0.40 weds wing night of both boneless and regular - Thursday just boneless - haha "just" like that's a bad thing! Ah Madison. It's a little bit country and I'm a little bit... (native-coastal) Californian. My good friend lives in this town and I've been to Madison so many times, I pretty much know my way around here. I also know, "the corner" where the Wagon Wheel resides. I've been to the Wheel so many times, it feels like Cheers when I walk in. Roger is an amazing man. Very friendly, funny, and extremely welcoming. I've never felt out of place and for that, I am grateful. Because I was just a tiiiiny bit nervous walking in there for the first time a few years ago, lol. Oh and can we talk about the WINGS THOUGH!! Holy $#!t. The bacon burgers are also delectable. Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker and they sure know how to fix mixed (strong) drinks to get you fuuuuhd up quickly. Nothing but love for the Wheel. This establishment has made me question ethics. This very first time to this bar I was over charged. I took it as a honest mistake and moved on. The second time I did not complain but knew it was wrong. The third time I had three charges on my account and was only responsible for one and headed in to talk to someone. The first person I spoke with was understanding and acknowledged my complaint. I verified with account screenshot and was told a manager would contact me. Another server came up to discuss the situation and had an attitude immediately. I tried to explain the history and she stated I could leave or take the charges. I proceeded to state facts with her attitude and was treated disrespectfully with no solution to my concerns. I am willing to understand people are hard to deal with being in customer service and she wanted no part of it. It's unfortunate being a new homeowner in the area. read more

This had been my watering hole in my youth, lots of great memories. Whenever I come home, I always stop by for some unbelievably inexpensive beers and fantastic conversation. Food is way above average as well, which I'm not saying out of nostalgia or anything. I'm a fan of their wings with a sauce that mixes their hot and ranch together, plus the burgers are pretty damn good. After reading the high reviews, we decided to head there for dinner while we were staying in Geneva. This was a late Friday afternoon, so the place was preparing for a busy "bar" scene...which we completely understand. The bar tender served us outside and was very pleasant. It took forever to get our drinks and food after we ordered. One of us ordered the shrimp pasta which was very good, but the boneless wings weren't even wings at all. It was a cut up chicken breast soaked in hot sauce. Very unappealing. After we were done we sat for at least 30 minutes and finally had to go to the bar to pay our tab as nobody checked on us during our meal. I understand being short staffed, but there was a bartender outdoor that never even asked to refill our drinks. WE won't go back when we head to Geneva again. Just beware that this is more of a bar than a restaurant as the bar patrons started to roll in when we were leaving and swearing in front of our 7 year old. NOT a family environment. read more

A go to bar in North Madison, An old classic. Foods pretty average. Drinks are affordable. Recently made some improvements and updateing but the building is spent and needs rebuilt. Kitchen staff needs to be more concious on food safety ie. handwashing and cross-contamination. read more

It's about what you'd expect from a low brow watering hole: town drunks, mediocre food, and a dank atmosphere. I used to come here for dinner but their food just isn't worth it to me anymore. They followed Romans' footsteps and pretty much ruined their wing night. They no longer let you take home your leftover wings that *YOU PAID FOR*. At least before you could pay so much a wing afterward to take it home, but now they would rather just throw away what you don't eat. For God's sake, if having wing night is such a loss of profits for your business (or whatever explanation you can come up with for this inhospitable practice), then don't have a wing night at all! Their all-you-cat-eat steak is a joke, too. Now I don't expect the quality of steak to be that of a high class steak house, but at the very least make sure that your steak doesn't have blue stuff in it. The waitress claimed that it was just butcher's dye or something to that nature, but still unappetizing nonetheless. While I'm talking about the other "nights" that they have, I have to mention their free jukebox night. Some people abuse it and stand there choosing an entire playlist while others wait in line. In other words, you may be stuck listening to Suzie Trailertrash's Black Velvet by Allanah Myles five times before you even get a chance to hear whatever you picked, but I digress. The pizza is alright if thick crust and cheese is more to your taste, but I'm a thin crust kind of gal so I don't bother. I will say that their drinks are alright, their Sex on the Beach being my favorite. Service is passable, too, though the wait staff seem unengaged unless you're there to get drunk off your butt. I also wish that they would get rid of that lobster claw machine game. It's inhumane and despicable, and even if you won a lobster I highly doubt that the cook is competent enough to cook the lobster properly and humanely. In the end of it all, I doubt I'll be back any time soon. read more

Literally the worst place I've ever been to! I will never go there ever ever ever again! The bartender was not friendly whatsoever, and when she handed me and my friends a receipt she said "I don't know who's is who's but it is what it is and I don't give a F**k" Half of my meal food was not even brought to me until I mentioned it. not a review but an e mail i sent to wagon wheel i am activities director for a senior mobile home park, we go out to eat every wednesday, the seniors favorite food is wings, we have been to many places for them and so far they think yours are the best ! there is one big problem with your place...... your minimum order of wings are "10" , now let me remind you these people range from ages 65-90, there is no way they can eat 10 wings, french fries and their drink.. all the other places we have been to their minimum is 6 and 8, if they cannot eat all of them the restaurants glady give them doggie bags.... these seniors were very upset and couldn't understand since your minimum is 10 and that's all they ordered, why they couldn't take the 2 or 3 they couldn't eat home, after all they paid for them and they were theirs !!!!!!!!! let me tell you i usually have a group or 10 to 22 seniors on our outings, we want to come back, is there any way you can change your minimum for seniors or let them take their left overs home, i understand if they were to order 20 and want to take 1/2 of them home that would be wrong but ordering your minimum for which we have no choice and paying for them and not being able to take the few home is wrong !!!!!!!!!! lets come to a compromise and make everyone happy. gina read more
