I don't usually write reviews but this place absolutely deserves one. What an amazing breakfast! If you're passing through the area, this is definitely a must visit. The cinnamon roll was the best I've ever had, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was a 10/10. I highly recommend this place!

Mary's Kitchen is the kind of place that feels like it belongs in a cozy TV show--think the female-owned version of Luke's Diner from Gilmore Girls. It's a house turned into a breakfast spot, and the charm is off the charts. If you're looking for that authentic small-town diner experience, this is it. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was a 10/10. My friends all loved what they ordered too. Everything came out hot, delicious, and clearly made with care. Bonus: the prices are more than reasonable, especially for the quality of food and the portions you get. A couple things to keep in mind: the place is tiny, and it's one of the most popular breakfast spots in Geneva-on-the-Lake, so wait times can be long--especially on weekends. Also, there's no air conditioning. Parking is available in a small lot just to the left of the building, but it fills up fast. Despite the wait and the heat, Mary's is soooo worth it.

    Its closed. Windows boarded up.

This business seems to have closed. This was our second time trying to dine in here 2 months ago but remained closed to this day. Windows still boarded up just like last time. No one one has updated it nor mentioned on their website.

A local breakfast joint near the lake that serves breakfast the entire time it's open, with lunch as well. It's in an old house, so the decor is quaint but functional. Service was friendly & courteous. Smiles & suggestions. The food was pretty good. Simple , but presented well. The taste was decent for mine. Her black bean, quinoa, sweet potato veggie burger was supposed to be really good. Very good place that you need to check out if you're at the lake.

Cute place with friendly servers. All of the breakfast food was good and we took cinnamon rolls to go for the next morning. They were amazing even the next day! Would go back again if staying in the area.

    Marissa was super!!

We loved all of our breakfast food at Mary's. Marissa was wonderful and she even helped us complete a fun birthday challenge. She is awesome!! The staff went above and beyond to make our meals delicious.

Right then I knew I was either about to have the worst breakfast of my life or one of the best stories. Thankfully, it was the latter. To the TripAdvisor reviewer, I only have one question. Did Gordon Ramsay personally cook breakfast for you every morning growing up? Because those are the only expectations that could possibly explain that review. This place is tiny, but that's exactly what makes it special. I felt like a regular before my coffee even had a chance to cool off. The owner, the servers, and even the folks in the kitchen made us feel like we'd been coming here for years. Sitting right next to our table was a plate of fake roaches and a pile of crooked silverware. Between that and all the hilarious signs and decorations covering the walls, I probably spent as much time looking around and laughing as I did eating. Every wall has something worth reading, and it's all part of the experience. The breakfast was fantastic, but honestly, that's not why I'll remember this place. A place that makes you laughh, treats you like family, and makes you feel like you belong before you've finished your first cup of coffee is much harder to find. Breakfast is simple, atmosphere is hard to achieve in today's society. The place has breakfast but delivers on culture and atmosphere. That's what makes it special. To the owners, thank you for proving that customer service isn't dead. You've created one of the most original restaurants I've ever visited. The food was excellent, but the experience is what I'll remember.

Walls are plastered with funny sayings and the staff adds to the irreverent vibe by yelling out loud "if you're eating, hurry up and if you're done, get the hell out of here" when it's busy and people are waiting for a table. The food is as good as any greasy diner. Basic breakfast is filling and reasonably priced. Plastic silver ware and paper plates make it easy clean up for the staff. Just be sure you check your coffee cup for chips. I don't like drinking from a chipped cup or glass and it may actually be illegal to serve beverages in those. The waitress was nice and took mine back and brought me one without chips. Although I don't think the management cares to replace them. Coffee is serve yourself from a carafe on the table as is the water from a pitcher.

All 3 were good and the focaccia was warm. It hit the spot. Service was very attentive. And inside they have TV's and outside the view of the lake. It very nice and the patio is fun. This is higher end so most of the prices and drinks are in the $13 and up range. Our bill for 2 sangrias and app was around $48. So just be aware. I'd go back. They have dinner and an Inn. Seems like a good place. Again the view of the lake was spectacular. Good place!

I'm not a big breakfast person, so I ordered the BLT with potato chips, and it was delicious. The rest of my party ordered breakfast items, and everyone raved about their meals. The portions were generous, prices very reasonable and everyone agreed the food was excellent. When I said the same to the waitress here, she told me she will make a pot of decaf for me. However, that night, not only I didn't have a shred of sleepiness, I was fully energized-- stayed up til 7am, ended up finishing a 6-hour coursework. It makes me wonder if my second cup was really decaf. I don't know. In any case, I thought no refill for coffee was outrageous.
