I really wanted to like this place more than I did. I was expecting cozy comfort food and was met with something average and bland. When we arrived, we were seated immediately, which surprised me for being a Sunday morning. I started with orange juice, and it tasted off, almost like it came from a fountain machine. For my entrée, I ordered the cinnamon swirl French toast and a side of Mary's seasoned home fries. My French toast wasn't anything special. I kept adding syrup to it, which helped, but I was expecting a lot more flavor and came up short. The home fries were fine. Some positives are that the portions are very generous. Hardly any of us could finish our food. Our waitress was also very attentive and friendly. Mary's Kitchen is the kind of place that feels like it belongs in a cozy TV show--think the female-owned version of Luke's Diner from Gilmore Girls. It's a house turned into a breakfast spot, and the charm is off the charts. If you're looking for that authentic small-town diner experience, this is it. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was a 10/10. My friends all loved what they ordered too. Everything came out hot, delicious, and clearly made with care. Bonus: the prices are more than reasonable, especially for the quality of food and the portions you get. A couple things to keep in mind: the place is tiny, and it's one of the most popular breakfast spots in Geneva-on-the-Lake, so wait times can be long--especially on weekends. Very small restaurant in a house in a neighborhood near the lake. There is a parking lot, but it gets very congested so we parked on the Main St ... easy to find a spot on a Sunday morning. We arrived ~10:45am, and there was a long wait, about 45 minutes. We got coffee across the Main St and walked in the park with the pager. Small number of tables inside and on the porch. Breakfast was delicious! Hearty servings of classic offerings (eggs, bacon, omelets, home fries, etc). I enjoyed a very tasty avocado toast with 2 eggs over easy. Mary's is the best breakfast around. They aren't bad for lunch either. The food is delicious! You won't find friendlier service or a cuter themed breakfast. It looks like something straight out of Grease. You'll feel right at home with the servers taking care of your every need instinctively. A local breakfast joint near the lake that serves breakfast the entire time it's open, with lunch as well. It's in an old house, so the decor is quaint but functional. Service was friendly & courteous. Smiles & suggestions. The food was pretty good. Simple , but presented well. The taste was decent for mine. There aren't too many breakfast spots in GOTL on the strip, so we made our way to Mary's. The options for non meat eaters were kind of limited, and are priced with no reductions or substitutions. I did enjoy my egg McMary sandwich, but was a little frustrated to be charged for an expensive ingredient that I had to leave off, and wasn't able to substitute out. They packaged our takeout well, and we were able to enjoy it at the beach park. It fills up quick during high season, so plan accordingly! read more

This past weekend Mary's Kitchen catered my son's wedding in Madison and the food was beyond amazing! We had over 100 guests and so many people came to me to say how much they loved the food, especially the beef and the chicken dishes! Visited Mary's Kitchen with my in-laws for breakfast on a Monday morning. It wasn't too busy so we easily got a table. The space is a bit small so weekends may be a bit challenging to get a table if they are really busy. They also have a pretty small parking lot so parking may be a little bit of an issue also. You may have to park on the Main Street of Geneva-on-the-Lake and walk down. The food was very good. I got a country omelet with no onions or toast and hash browns. It was a bit disappointing that even though I asked for no onions, they were still in there. I had to pick them out. My mother-in-law also had to ask twice for a glass of orange juice because it was forgotten the first time. The food did come out very quickly. We didn't have to wait long.
