Our trainer, Monica, was excellent with Daisy and what I loved most about her was that she would explain to us how she was training our dog and also why she would do something a certain way. A lot of times she would comment about how this reinforces some sort of behavior or would boost Daisy's confidence, etc. At one point of our training Daisy didn't take well to the previous lesson (down lesson) and Daisy wasn't receptive to the next training session and was extremely nervous and jittery. Monica picked up on this right away and instead of just charging through, took a step back to assess the situation and told us that this lesson would be free since Daisy wasn't herself and even considered bringing another trainer in. We were extremely appreciative of this gesture and found it to be very considerate and professional. We were a little nervous starting out the training because Daisy is an extremely sensitive and submissive dog, but at the end of the training (which was today) her confidence levels are much higher and she seems to be a much happier dog!!! Daisy is far from perfect but her discipline and manners are getting better every day and we love seeing her progress and growth. We highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training. We did a ton of research and even met with other companies but we could not have been happier with our choice.

Wether it's a car ride, hiking, swimming or maybe go to the mall. I wanted a dog that can do many tricks and impress my friends and family while protecting us anywhere we go. I started researching online and discovered that such a dog can cost anywhere from $50k to a $120k (not kidding). Not willing to spend this kind of money, I decided to go a different route. I started my search for a good working lines German shepherd dog breeder and found one locally. I got my pup around 8 weeks old and wanted to find a good dog trainer right away. After countless days of speaking to different trainers, I came across Nick through Facebook and decided to give him a try. From the moment I spoke to Nick, I knew that he was a great fit for Apollo. He explained to me that this is a project dog and cannot be completed overnight and will require different courses throughout my puppy's development which I happily agreed to. I sent Apollo in for the very first time at 3 months old for his first 2 weeks program. It made a huge difference. I couldn't believe that it was the same dog. Apollo was crate trained, obedient and was able to learn more than 7 commands in German. Apollo is 7 months old now and I just dropped him off to Nick for another 2 weeks. I can't wait to see what my pup can learn this time! It's really hard to find a dog trainer that can handle Apollo's level of energy. I will not let anyone touch Apollo but Nick.

If your little shi tzu mauled your kid, don't go to Cesar Milan. Get thee to an ACVB diplomat, a vet that is an animal behaviorist. Speaking from experience on this! Going to Dr. Haug was INSANELY expensive--b/c she is the top dog--heehee. It was very informative, but I was at a loss in knowing how to apply this knowledge to my home life w/o taking a second mortgage. I wish I had started w/ Sit Stay, and Obey! Sheila directly applies the theory and science AT MY HOME! My stupid dog can act like Lassie at an expensive, highly structured dog training facility. But my stupid dog won't act like that when he's with stupid me. Haha, I get that the majority of the solution lies w/ training me. Sheila came over to our house. She listened to the issues we had, helped us prioritize what needed to be worked on first, watched us, had us watch her, then had us try what we learned right there in our living room. She helped us get on a plan--realistic plan based on what we could actually achieve. And we had clear next steps and check-ins. I appreciate theory and information, but I am not smart enough to connect the dots into applying the knowledge at my house. I literally need someone to show me how to do this in my house, with my dog, and my family. We have since rehomed our little shi tzu at a god-send home w/ no kids. We now have an 8 month, almost 80 lb puppy that has benefited from working w/ Sheila since its first month on this earth. Because of Sheila our three-year old toddler is now empowered to help train and safely play with the monster (still always under our supervision of course). Sheila is guiding all of us to have the BEST relationships w/ the puppy and the puppy w/ us. It's quite beautiful after the scary start for my baby... We initially thought we'd foster her for adoption due to her dog aggression issues. After working with Travis, we decided togive Rosie a forever home ourselves. We brought Travis in to privately train her so she didn't have to deal with the stress of a group setting and because we wanted a tailored training program. With Lone Star Dog Training, we received an excellent job. Travis educated us about how training is important and what results he felt we could see. Over the course of 4 months, Rosie went from being aggressive toward our other dogs to feeling safe and comfortable with them. She's even adopted our 12 year old border terrier as her sister. Rosie has progressed from a frightened stray who did not wag her tail or understand how to take affection, to bounding and leaping with joy when she sees her people. She now seeks out our affections and looks forward to spending time with us. If not for Lone Star Dog Training, we would not have decided to keep her. I text Michael, sometimes daily, all my questions and concerns regarding the training, and I've never been left without an answer! He'll also provide a ton of materials (videos, books, articles) you need to familiarize yourself with to set you up for success. Me and my dogs are working on solving the fence fighting issue, and so far one of them is actually responsive to my efforts. When I reached out to Michael I didn't think that much can be done, but now I see a light at the end of a very, very long tunnel :). All our sessions have been online so far, as few days before our first scheduled meeting the stay at home order was placed. Online conference worked just as well for us, and we didn't have to delay the training any longer. A recent addition- online "support group" where his customers can share ideas and chat is a great idea too! Overall, I couldn't be happier with the decision to work with Michael.

Playtime was not fun for us because he would get too worked up and end up with what I called a "zoomy meltdown", which involved a lot of jumping and nipping. Michael taught us to recognize the signs before he got out of control and helped us to keep OUR stress level down and redirect his energy. Finn is much more relaxed now, around us and guests. Thanks to the training, we have an energetic sweet boy instead of a lot of stress and worry.

I took her back…read moreto get her groomed for the second time. this is when red flags waved, as I drove into the parking lot Sophie started to whimper and shake uncontrollably. she has never had this reaction being taken to a groomer's place before, not even to going to the vet. I voiced a concern that this was not a normal reaction for her. I asked if it was possible that someone was mean to her, they absolutely said that wouldn't happen. I gave instructions on how I wanted her groomed, everyone petted her and all seemed well. I picked her up, the groom was not how I wanted, her coat was uneven and choppy. that afternoon into evening she was not her usual happy self. she was sullen and withdrawn. I've had to fix the mess the groomer left. I am very disappointed with Sophie's treatment and will never go back.

Fast forward to this winter, we've moved to a new house and neighborhood, much bigger yard, and Diesel nearly refuses to go out side. It's the week after Christmas, we left Bob a message and we're thinking, I doubt we'll hear back from Bark Busters till the new year. We were HAPPILY surprised to hear back from Bob and within a few short hours, Diesel is HAPPILY going out with us to the back yard. Bob is truly dedicated to making sure you and your dog know how to communicate. That you have all the tools and training you need to have a happy and healthy relationship with your pup.
