While the wife shopped, I had a nice conversation with the owner and her son. I was struck by the unusual (to me) combination of "pet store" and "decor store." I was pleased to hear how the dream came to be reality, especially since we're dog-lovers and enjoy finding distinctive home decor items. The pet food and treat selection, as well as the collars, leashes, and other accessories is out-of-this-world. The clothing and home decor items are interesting and varied. Their space is a restored building and that just adds character to the entire mix. We brought home a beautiful blue-and-white chinoiserie vase and a few other assorted items that caught our interest. Then she proceeds to tell me oh she probably won't be able to do it when she gets back, how about sunday? I said no thanks and walk away. I stopped behind the corner just to hear what she's going to say to her coworkers and of course she's making it sound like I'm inconveniencing everybody.
