!!!CAUTION!!! THEY WONT FOLLOW UP EVEN IF YOU PAID. THEY…read moreARE NOT EDUCATED THAT TREATMENT OF SERVICE DOGS IS DIFFERENT. See below: I brought my service dog in on Tuesday due to a family members dog tearing her ear. The girls upfront were WONDERFUL! HOWEVER, the veterinarian, JOSHUA SAVAGE SHIELDS, did NOT thoroughly go over all the steps with me of what he was going to do prior to treating my service dog. I said I DID NOT want an all over general sedation. ONLY localized and he did not honor that. This is VERY IMPORTANT because if your service dog is drugged and sedated it cannot do its job once it leaves the vet for several hours (not 30 minutes as he said) and he disregarded my request. No wonder his middle name is "SAVAGE" MORE IMPORTANTLY: I called in two days later because my dog was having severe diarrhea from the antibiotics prescribed and I wanted to know what I can do to help with that since charcoal is not an option and it would pull the medicine out of her system. They said we can't help you because you're not a client here anymore DESPITE THE FACT I PAID FOR SERVICES! Be very careful if they decide that they don't like your constructive feedback for how your visit went then they will just dump you for any kind of follow up even though you paid for their service

Me and my husband really would like to take the opportunity to thank the Bay City Vet Clinic team…read moreand Dr. Shields for giving us the upmost experience for our baby Tenshi. We were in such deep emotions knowing the amount of pain she was suffering. But Dr. Shields and his phenomenal team changed things around for our Tenshi's broken elbow. They successfully fixed her up through their special goddess hands as top surgeons and she is now at peace . Even though she may have slight pain here and there, she can now easily rest and have a peaceful recovery thanks to this wonderful and amazing team. I can't express enough gratitude for what Dr. Shields and his team has done for our baby girl. Thank you thank you Bay City Vet Clinic. We will highly recommend you and spread your amazing clinic to our other Frenchie pet owners and all other pet owners as well that needs a trusting home to come to!

Outstanding care and very professional staff. I trained military working dogs for over 19 years,…read moreand I have dealt with a lot of Vets, Techs, and Staff...to include emergency Vet services. These guys are great, straightforward and very good about keeping you up to date and informed. Emergency Vet services are never cheap, but I've paid far more for a dog having an allergic reaction, at other clinics, as compared to, this time, a dog with an injured leg. Very pleased, and very glad we used this clinic. And while it shows this location as closed...this is a 24 hour clinic with full ICU capabilities.

Zero if I could. My wonderful regular vet Doug Hendrix noticed elevated liver enzymes on my 12…read moreyear old Wheaten Terrier. He performed an ultrasound and diagnosed a 9.2cm X 5.6 cm tumor on her liver. So I made an appointment for Friday, August 14th with Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists Internal Medicine. I arrived at 8:15 for an 8:30 appointment. Dr. Edward Vasquez explained the two approaches to me and I chose for them to do a CT and a biopsy. I also said that I would be waiting because I live I Katy. I had paid the $205 deposit at the time of making the appointment and then paid $3645 for the procedure. At that point, they took Tiffy back and I waited in their very uncomfortable waiting room with hard benches and vending machines. I was told that they would probably not do Tiffy's CT until 1:30 and that she would probably be ready to go home by 2:30. Finally at 2:30 because I had not heard anything, I asked the receptionist to check on Tiffy. She call back and asked for a tech to go check and apparently that didn't happen so a few minutes later, I asked the receptionist if she would check again. At that point, Dr. Edward Vasquez came out and proceeded to tell me that he had other patients and drop offs. I told him, yes, I had seen several dogs comeing and going all day, but I had an 8:30 appointment. I have been here 6 hours and asked if they had done the CT of Tiffy. He said, NO, she had a port in her leg but they had not done the CT. I replied, "That's unbelievable It has been six hours". I said you have put other dogs ahead of an 8:30 appointment. He said that they could do a CT but it would take another two hours, but he preferred I just take my dog home and NEVER COME BACK!! Again he told me that he would take the port out of her leg and I should take her home and NEVER COME BACK!! I was shocked at this man's behavior and upset because I expected to get more information about my Tiffy. Then Nathan Hernandez came out and asked if I would bring Tiffy and come talk with him in his office. He said that he was an administrator. He apologized and said that he would help in anyway he could. I told him I wanted my money refunded and had already spoken with my regular vet for a referral to MedVet. I told Mr Hernandez that the receptionist heard the entire conversation with Dr. Vasquez and how rudely he had spoken to me. Dr. Vasquez needs anger management. On a positive note: The clinic refunded my $3850 and Nathan Hernandez called me that night to check on Tiffy. He asked that I not give the clinic a bad review but said that they were going to use this as a "teaching moment" for Dr Vasquez. My opinion is that they simply need to "teach Dr. Vasquez where the door is"!! If you love your animal do not let Dr. Vasquez near him or her. BTW--Tiffy awoke me this morning with Kennel Cough. Wonder where she got that from!!
