Cindy is an amazing dog sitter whose attention to detail both before, during and following her work with our dogs was well beyond the five starts given here! We were gone for several weeks out of the country and were reticent to leave our pets at the kennel for that long...we have never had a pet sitter before and our experience with Wags and Wiggles far exceeded our expectations! Cindy took the time to get to know both of our dogs over the course of several weeks before we left town, making several visits to our home and testing out walking them both when we were around, and alone to see how they would respond. She asked thorough, careful questions about their likes, behaviors and needs, and did the same for general things about watching over our house while we were gone. While we were away, Cindy maintained contact about questions or concerns that arose, always responding in a timely manner...she even sent us pictures when we were missing our babies! : ) In the past, we've always used the kennel at our vet when we've gone away. One of our dogs is a rescue who spent most of the first year of her life in animal shelters. After a short visit to the kennel, she'd come home looking sad and she'd be hoarse from having barked the whole time. Our other dog is a total worry wort and he would always come home from the kennel having lost weight from all of his worry. When we came home after 3 weeks, both dogs were healthy and literally SMILING! They seemed very relaxed and at ease. It's great knowing that they can stay in their own home and be so well cared for. We can't recommend Cindy enough...our dogs are our kids and we don't trust them with just anyone! We will definitely turn to Wags & Wiggles again! read more

I recently moved to Montclair and had to look for new pet sitters, which you've probably realized, is not the easiest thing to do - particularly when you're in a hurry. This was a week-long trip, the longest I'd been away from my pups and they weren't really used to the new house yet. Cindy was so laid back and on top of things at the same time that I felt comfortable checking out her services, also because the pups liked her right away. When I missed a flight home, Cindy picked up right away, (which I always like to see,) and was so easy going about adding another visit if they needed it. A lot of other pet sitters have charged me full price for visits I cancelled, even within the cancellation window, and it's so refreshing that Cindy's more like a friend watching your pups than a bottom-line minute-watching agency who're clearly only driven by the cash. The thing is, I'll book Cindy all the time now, probably more than I did with the other sitters because she's a great personality and security match too. You can just feel that she's got everything covered and will take care of your animals as if they were her own. Cindy has been a Godsend to our household since we discovered her service a year ago! Planning for time away has never been less stressful, and we always return to a perfectly clean house; neat stacks of mail and newspapers; healthy, happy plants and gardens; and - most important - healthy, happy cats, including the diabetic Franny, whose insulin injection Cindy administers daily along with a lot of love and grooming. The summer, her devotion to duty was tested rather dramatically when Franny suffered a serious insulin reaction while we were deep in the wilderness and completely out of touch and Cindy saw her through a week of emergency vet care. Cindy is thorough, responsive, and completely responsible. If our dog needed her care, we wouldn't hesitate; she has even driven our family to SFO! The woman who runs this is responsible, reliable, fair and she LOVES animals! I trust her completely with the care of not only my beloved pets (I have THREE dogs and a cat!) but also with the care of my garden, my mail, my newspaper pickup and the overall maintenance of my home while I am away on vacation or for work travel. I have such piece of mind knowing that my pets are in the comfort of their home (as opposed to a kennel) while I am away and feel even more comforted knowing they are being well tended for by Wags and Wiggles. My dogs are high energy and require off-leash walks everyday. Three dogs is a huge amount to manage, and I do not know very many people, other than Wags and Wiggles, who can do so with such ease. Sometimes it's hard for me to fully relax when I'm vacation, because I'm constantly thinking about my babies (2 English Bulldogs!) back home. I've used neighbors and friends to walk/feed/play with them in the past, but I feel so much more confident and comfortable knowing they are in the hands of a professional, who takes the responsibility very seriously. Cindy has been a pleasure to work with, very accommodating, and my dogs LOVE her! Her prices are quite reasonable, and she even texts me photos of my babies while I'm gone with silly little message like "Hi Mom, hope you're having fun, we miss you!". Cindy has been my go-to for cat-sitting whenever I've left town in the past six years. Without exaggeration, Cindy has always been available for me! Even when I've only given her a little bit of notice, she's always been able to help me out by watching the cats. The last time we went out of town, one of our pets had a medical emergency. Cindy noticed that things were not okay with our little guy, contacted us, and was able to coordinate with a veterinarian friend to get him the emergency care he needed. Cindy has become our go-to cat sitter. She is easy to contact, and has been available each time we have needed her. She is dependable, and detail oriented. During our most recent trip, she was more than willing to take on the added responsibility of watering the outdoor plants. We feel confident leaving our cat in her care. Cindy was fantastic, and I would 100% use her again. It feels good to know that I have someone reliable to call on to take care of our 1 yr old cat. We went away for the weekend, and she came in once a day in the morning to feed him and play with him. She also waters your plants and collects your mail if you so wish. We've since moved, but while we were homeowners in Piedmont we engaged Cindy to take care of our bird & cat. She obviously liked our pets, and so they were very well tended. But Cindy also kept an eye on our house, promptly removing the newspaper from the front steps, collecting our mail from the box, watering the more exposed of our potted plants, plus turning on/off the stoop light at night and then again in the morning.
