My child did NOT attend this school…read more I just wanted to share about the disappointing tour I experienced. The owner (Katie) was extremely rude- she never even acknowledged my daughter. She scoffed/chuckled at me multiple times because I was asking her questions that were answered in the forms she emailed to me. I'm so sorry that I do not have the ability to remember every little detail about every school that I am touring. The school is also VERY old. Would never recommend this place.

Now that she is a month away from being 2 years old, our daughter has grown and learned so much since being in this school. I remember my first day dropping her off and she cried for about two weeks before she was able to finally transition, and man, that was rough for a first time mom. But the school provides an app with updates via messages and pictures of their daily activities (arts and crafts, sharing day, circle time), which helped settle those nerves especially in the early days. Now, my daughter walks up herself to daycare and waves mommy goodbye. It's definitely a proud mommy moment to see her grow to be independent, while also giving her the gift of learning early in a school setting and making friends along the way. I also have to add - the teacher to children ratio here also makes me feel confident my daughter is getting the attention and care she needs from the teachers - and you can also tell the teachers truly care about the children at the school. I love working with Ms Katie on the admin parent side, and I could tell Mrs Cho and Mrs Choi both adore my daughter. Santa Clara Montessori also provides summer school activities for two weeks, which included some water activities which my daughter absolutely loved! Finally, I have to admit, while childcare in the Bay Area is expensive, Santa Clara Montessori provides flexibility and options which works for our family. Rather enrolling our daughter in the full time program, we have been enrolled in the part time program, first with three days and then expanding to the four day program. This works great for our family financially, and we're happy Santa Clara Montessori provides this option for us. We're so happy we found a place we could trust leaving our daughter while we're at work, while also being a place that helps our daughter continue to learn and grow.

We started during the pandemic, and the work Ms Michelle and the teachers put into keeping the children healthy was and still is extremely effective. CWBM has been like a second home for my children. Just a few of the many things I love about the school: 1) The school itself is a true Montessori school. CWBM is observed by an Association Montessori International (AMI) representative yearly and continues to be recognized as a member of the Association Montessori International. 2) The school itself is so clean and bright inside. This was one of the main reasons I chose CWBM for my children. The children are also taught to help keep the school tidy and neat. 3) The teachers are loving and attentive. On the weekends when he is not in school, my son has often called out his teachers' names while trying to call out to me (his mother). This is just a small indicator of how fond my son was of his teachers. 4) My children were happy in school while learning math, how to read, participating in singing, soccer, dancing, class. 5) Chinese culture and language was introduced during school, which I appreciated, especially living in this global society. 6) I think what I really appreciated most recently with covid, is the precautions that are taken to keep the children and teachers safe. From the very beginning of the pandemic, I felt safe sending my kids to school here and I was on the paranoid side (my kids were one of the first to comfortably wear masks during the pandemic). My children and I will always think of our time at CWBM fondly and continue to recommend this preschool to others. Thank you CWBM!

Following a simple, question regarding a late fee and a request to turn off AutoPay, she completely flew off the handle. Rather than engaging in a professional conversation, she chose to abruptly expel our 4-year-old daughter on the spot(even though my daughter was expected to graduate in just 2 months) and left our conversation. She later sent an email giving us 2 weeks of transition time. Me and my wife went in person after receiving the email to request re-consideration to avoid disrupting our daughter's routine and said we will agree with whatever terms Ms. Katie wants us to follow. She treated us like we're not even worth a conversation. Because of her toxic behavior, we decided to end it right the same day. Because of the owner's inability to manage a basic business conversation, our innocent daughter is now forced to miss her pre-K graduation party on June 13th, for which she had spent weeks proudly practicing her songs and dances. The teacher churn was extreme. My daughter had 5 different main teachers in the last 1.5 year (Ms. Su, Ms. Ar, Ms. Ad, Ms Sh, and now Ms. Ju). The school was run like a mess after the talented Director Ms. Ar was fired for no reason. Ms. Sh had 40 years of experience in the field and she was fired after 3 months due to internal politics. We decided to unenroll our daughter twice, first time Ms. Sh requested dearly to continue but she was fired after a month. We decided to unenroll again after Ms. Sh was fired but Ms. Katie requested so much to keep us enrolled and promised direct care and attention to our daughter. After all this, she's the one to terminate our enrollment over a minor conversation. As parents, we trust schools to care for our children's emotional well-being. To abruptly expel a child and strip them of their graduation milestone over a minor administrative disagreement with a parent is unacceptable. If you look for stability, emotional maturity, and a safe environment for your child, please look elsewhere.

Some of the teachers resigned communicated offline after resigning about some politics going on and lately we stopped receiving communications about changes to the teaching staff 3. they store your bank ach and doesn't give you option to revoke the ach even though you accept financial responsibility - not giving customers option to revoke ach is not legally okay 4. it is a pretty busy location with lot of foot traffic because of other business in the same complex, on top of that their security system is pretty bad. I went to pickup our kid in the middle of the day and noticed doors are completely unlocked and there is no one in the reception area, anyone can walk in and when asked about it their response is simply "we know about it, it is not an issue, it is okay" and with an attitude that we are wrong to question about it Finally if you are picking this school based on the promises made by the management when choosing the school, don't go for it. They are not reliable and they prefer to change it very quickly as they wish and kid is adapted to the environment. It is not about they meeting your expectations, they don't even deliver what they have promised or agreed to deliver.

When I arrived, he was in severe pain--so much so that he couldn't even stand up on his own. When I asked what had happened, the teachers said they "didn't know" and suggested he may have hurt himself while playing. This lack of awareness alone was alarming. I immediately took him to urgent care, where he was diagnosed with nursemaid's elbow, a painful injury typically caused by forceful pulling of a child's arm. The doctor was able to fix it, but the situation was extremely distressing. Once my son calmed down, I asked him what happened. He clearly told me that Ms. Paulina had grabbed his arm and dragged him. Hearing this as a parent was heartbreaking. What's worse is how the school handled it: They failed to properly supervise and didn't know how the injury occurred They waited nearly two hours before informing us, despite the severity of his condition They initially denied any knowledge of what happened After I showed them a video of my child explaining the incident, their story completely changed Instead of taking responsibility, they began shifting blame onto my child, labeling him as "not well behaved"--something that contradicts all prior reports from the same school At no point did Ms. Paulina apologize. The lack of accountability was shocking. Even more concerning was the response from the owner, Colleen Noll, whose handling of the situation reflected a complete disregard for transparency, responsibility, and basic child safety standards. She probably is the worst person I have encountered in child care industry. She's never around the school either, unless there's some trouble. My child never went back there after that incident. There were few prior incidents when my son would come home with cut lips, when ask they say he cut his lip in outdoors when he fell etc. Bottom line: This wasn't just an accident--it was a combination of negligence, lack of supervision, dishonesty, and poor leadership. When something goes wrong involving your child, you expect honesty and accountability. We received neither. I would strongly caution other parents before trusting this school with their children. The teachers never smile. This is me trying to get information from my son on what happened as teachers did not give me any information https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FRd70qtJiE0SQ_1rn-NyS_xT5nV-_7wO/view?usp=sharing

Compare this to other daycares in area which have new activities every day/week. 3. They have the same ~15 toys sitting in the classroom, no stimulation/learning opportunities for kids. All in all, there is tremendous potential here, I wish they improve.

Five stars!

This is my 4 year old's second…read moreyear at Villa and he started as an extremely shy and sweet kid with no previous day care or school experience. In the past year, he has blossomed into an independent and assertive child, and he has learned a lot both academically and socially. Villa has an amazing ratio of 1-8 (3 teachers per classroom of 24 kids) that sometimes falls to 1-6 or 1-7. They are a true Montessori school, and the child stays with the same teachers for all the years. My son's two main teachers, Mrs. Fan and Mrs. De Silva, have been with the school for over a decade. My son has received a lot of individualized attention and loves his teachers. I think he would like to live with Mrs. Fan if given the chance. :) The teachers at Villa are extremely good at what they do and very passionate about Montessori education. When I went in for "observation day," each child was doing a different "job," so the teachers were managing 24 different activities, but everything was still very orderly. Even the tiny 2.5 year olds knew the rules and everyone knew to clean up. We really appreciate how diligent our son has become with washing hands, tidying up spaces, and wiping surfaces! Director Lin's leadership is also really exceptional. She is extremely organized, responsible, and sets clear expectations for the kids and parents. I love that the handbook, documents, twice-a-year report cards, and paperwork are all in good order. She is also very hands-on and I have seen her consoling a crying child in her lap, spoon feeding another child during lunch, and taking the time to talk with the kids individually. I am so impressed that she takes the time to get to know every one of the forty-some kids at Villa. She works many many hours at Villa and commutes from an hour away. Villa is not just a job for her - this is her life's purpose. Everyone at the school is very responsive and excellent with communication. Karen (who manages most of the administrative tasks) and Director Lin will usually respond to messages on Brightwheel within a few hours. We really appreciate how they take parent concerns very seriously. The flexibility of programs at Villa is also great - they have AM program (9-12 pm), PM program (1-4 pm), PM plus extended care (1-5 pm), full day (9-4 pm), or full day plus extended care (9-5 pm). I feel very lucky to be able to enroll my child in a half day program so that he gets a few hours of school every day, and we still get enough hours to go on an adventure together outside of school. One really brilliant and unique thing about Villa is that their after-school program (school ends at 4, there is another hour of after school until 5 pm) teaches the children Mandarin Chinese! I enrolled my son in the after school hour just for the Chinese class - Mrs. Fan and Mrs. Liu are both excellent Chinese teachers from Taiwan. I sat in on one class to see what it would be like, and was astounded that all of the kids had excellent pronunciation. Chinese tones are very difficult so it was really surprising to see a room full of non-Chinese kids speaking perfect Chinese! Lastly, the other Villa families also makes this place special. Villa is a non-profit with a governing board that is made up of parents. We really appreciate the parents that have taken on this responsibility. We have also made many friends at Villa, and really appreciate the sense of community. We truly couldn't have asked for a better preschool experience and will definitely miss this school when our son graduates!

What sets ASM apart is not just the loving care but the thoughtful emphasis on manners, sharing, and social skills. There's field trips and special events all the time. They take feedback well and very responsive to concerns. Administration is on top of their job for sure. Great work ethic top down throughout the staff body. My son also got a lot more independent and can play alone now, which is life saving for the second born home life transition. Student body is mostly Chinese, American born chinese, Caucasian, and Indian. Most of kids here are pretty well behaved, and we haven't heard any bullying problems. Fellow parents are all very respectful and offers help. Overall it's a positive atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Appleseed Montessori was the best decision for my child. I had him enrolled in Nov 2021 when he was…read more18 months old. He was under the care of Ms Maria, Ms Ericka and Ms Ana in Room 4A and he loved every moment of it! His teachers cared so much for him and I was able to see that he was actively learning through jobs, art, parallel play right from the start. His teachers even helped him eat when he was still adjusting to eating on his own - which was huge for me. He then moved into Room 2 in 2023 and while it took a while for him to get adjusted, I could actively work with his teachers on potty training, eating habits and general well being. Both Ms Diane and Mrs Sanghera are wonderful and caring teachers who handle transitions seamlessly and ensure the kids are having a good time! You can always ask the teachers for an update and they'll have something specific to say - that always made me feel like they have an eye on every kid. My child has made so many friends here and I'm ever grateful for that. The school is led by Ms Michaella, an excellent administrator. She manages the staff, interacts wonderfully well with the students, and actively engages with the parents. The school also organizes many events (halloween parade, annual day, PJs day..) which is fun for both kids and parents (if you like being part of the activities). They have partnered with Amazing Athletes so it's easy to get the kids interested in many sporting endeavors. The school also has lunch meals provided through a partner service but I did not opt for it - I liked sending lunch with my kid. On the whole, one of the best places to keep your child healthy and safe. True value for your money!
