He started at 21 months old and recently transitioned to the Thomas Road location as he turns 3. Incredible Teachers: Ms. Katie, Ms. Cho, Ms. Choi, Ms. Lim, Ms. Tessa, and Ms. Allison create a remarkably safe and nurturing environment. Ms. Katie brings decades of Montessori experience to the structured setup. Ms. Cho warmly welcomes the kids every morning, and Ms. Katie personally sees them off on most evenings with individual feedback for the parents. Great Communication: They use a fantastic mobile app for easy check-ins, payments, and school updates. Best of all, they sent pictures and videos of our toddler throughout the day getting those updates at work and seeing him grow was such a dopamine hit! Life Skills & Activities: They actively help with potty training, self-feeding, and learning to put on shoes etc. They also host great activities like yoga, pumpkin patch outings, summer camps, teachers appreciation day and Mother's Day celebrations. Structured day: Ms Katie has created a toddler curriculum, they have designated nap-time, play time and a lot of Montessori toys to keep the children engaged. Food & Care: They provide food but allow home-packed lunches. Our toddler was a fussy eater, and Ms. Cho was incredibly helpful in working with him on this. We couldn't be happier with our decision. The recent transition to their Thomas Road location was seamless (and honestly deserves its own 5-star review).

She scoffed/chuckled at me multiple times because I was asking her questions that were answered in the forms she emailed to me. My daughter (7 years old) and son…read more(5 years old) both recently graduated from CWBM, spending their preschool years here and my husband and I feel so fortunate to have found this school. CWBM has been like a second home for my children. Just a few of the many things I love about the school: 1) The school itself is a true Montessori school. CWBM is observed by an Association Montessori International (AMI) representative yearly and continues to be recognized as a member of the Association Montessori International. 2) The school itself is so clean and bright inside. This was one of the main reasons I chose CWBM for my children. The children are also taught to help keep the school tidy and neat. 3) The teachers are loving and attentive. On the weekends when he is not in school, my son has often called out his teachers' names while trying to call out to me (his mother). This is just a small indicator of how fond my son was of his teachers. 4) My children were happy in school while learning math, how to read, participating in singing, soccer, dancing, class. 5) Chinese culture and language was introduced during school, which I appreciated, especially living in this global society. 6) I think what I really appreciated most recently with covid, is the precautions that are taken to keep the children and teachers safe. From the very beginning of the pandemic, I felt safe sending my kids to school here and I was on the paranoid side (my kids were one of the first to comfortably wear masks during the pandemic). My children and I will always think of our time at CWBM fondly and continue to recommend this preschool to others. Thank you CWBM!

We were nervous about enrolling our son at Santa Clara Montessori after our move from Sunnyvale…read morebecause he was attached to his previous school and the transition felt daunting. However, those worries didn't last long! Within a short time he was settled in and thriving, largely thanks to the wonderful teachers here. Ms. Adriana, Ms. Justina, Ms. Bianca, and Ms. Lim have all been incredibly warm, caring, and attentive with him. The classrooms are clean, bright, and well-equipped, which makes a real difference in how comfortable and engaged the kids feel throughout the day. Regarding the facility: one thing to note is from their recent licensing review, the auditors flagged that their facility was not sufficiently equipped to prep food on location. The staff tried their best to switch to prep the food at their other location which was also not deemed sufficient by the auditors. As a result, school was sourcing meals externally but ultimately, just before Evan graduated, we got a communication to all parents that they will be halting the meal services. Balancing quality of the meal your child eat while also keeping the costs down is a delicate act but it is something to be informed about if you are considering sending your child here. Since we're on topic of communication, we've been impressed by how communicative the staff are: we get frequent updates on what our son is doing, and it's clear the teachers are genuinely invested in each child. They also frequently post pictures of our child throughout the day so checking them is definitely one of my small pleasures while I'm at work. Beyond the academic side, we've seen wonderful growth in his social and emotional development as well. They nurtured his personality and as a result, he's more funny, confident, curious, and independent than when he started. One thing that still amazes us: he's only 3, and he can read fluently (and write somewhat decently) now. He is already reading night time storybooks cover to cover. Other parents are often surprised when they see him reading random words out loud. It's a testament to how effective and individualized the teaching approach here is. What we also appreciate is how the teachers are always thinking of ways to make the day more fun and engaging. Most recently they set up water play and other fun summer activities to keep the kids excited to come to school. They were upfront about the additional fee to cover materials and prep, and it was clear how much effort went into planning it all, so we didn't mind at all. We love that they strike a great balance between academics and playful, hands-on fun. Now that Evan is graduating from Santa Clara Montessori, it's truly a bittersweet moment for us. We're so proud of how far he's come, but parting ways with the teachers who cared for him isn't easy. A special thank you to Ms. Adriana, who as director has gone above and beyond time and time again. Evan absolutely adored her, and he's told us he's going to miss her. We couldn't have asked for a better school to be part of his early years, and we're deeply grateful to the entire team. Highly recommend Santa Clara Montessori to any family looking for a nurturing staff that will help your child be both emotionally well-adjusted and grow academically.

Following a simple, question regarding a late fee and a request to turn off AutoPay, she completely flew off the handle. Rather than engaging in a professional conversation, she chose to abruptly expel our 4-year-old daughter on the spot(even though my daughter was expected to graduate in just 2 months) and left our conversation. She later sent an email giving us 2 weeks of transition time. Me and my wife went in person after receiving the email to request re-consideration to avoid disrupting our daughter's routine and said we will agree with whatever terms Ms. Katie wants us to follow. She treated us like we're not even worth a conversation. Because of her toxic behavior, we decided to end it right the same day. Because of the owner's inability to manage a basic business conversation, our innocent daughter is now forced to miss her pre-K graduation party on June 13th, for which she had spent weeks proudly practicing her songs and dances. The teacher churn was extreme. My daughter had 5 different main teachers in the last 1.5 year (Ms. Su, Ms. Ar, Ms. Ad, Ms Sh, and now Ms. Ju). The school was run like a mess after the talented Director Ms. Ar was fired for no reason. Ms. Sh had 40 years of experience in the field and she was fired after 3 months due to internal politics. We decided to unenroll our daughter twice, first time Ms. Sh requested dearly to continue but she was fired after a month. We decided to unenroll again after Ms. Sh was fired but Ms. Katie requested so much to keep us enrolled and promised direct care and attention to our daughter. After all this, she's the one to terminate our enrollment over a minor conversation. As parents, we trust schools to care for our children's emotional well-being. To abruptly expel a child and strip them of their graduation milestone over a minor administrative disagreement with a parent is unacceptable. If you look for stability, emotional maturity, and a safe environment for your child, please look elsewhere.

When I arrived, he was in severe pain--so much so that he couldn't even stand up on his own. When I asked what had happened, the teachers said they "didn't know" and suggested he may have hurt himself while playing. This lack of awareness alone was alarming. I immediately took him to urgent care, where he was diagnosed with nursemaid's elbow, a painful injury typically caused by forceful pulling of a child's arm. The doctor was able to fix it, but the situation was extremely distressing. Once my son calmed down, I asked him what happened. He clearly told me that Ms. Paulina had grabbed his arm and dragged him. Hearing this as a parent was heartbreaking. What's worse is how the school handled it: They failed to properly supervise and didn't know how the injury occurred They waited nearly two hours before informing us, despite the severity of his condition They initially denied any knowledge of what happened After I showed them a video of my child explaining the incident, their story completely changed Instead of taking responsibility, they began shifting blame onto my child, labeling him as "not well behaved"--something that contradicts all prior reports from the same school At no point did Ms. Paulina apologize. The lack of accountability was shocking. Even more concerning was the response from the owner, Colleen Noll, whose handling of the situation reflected a complete disregard for transparency, responsibility, and basic child safety standards. She probably is the worst person I have encountered in child care industry. She's never around the school either, unless there's some trouble. My child never went back there after that incident. There were few prior incidents when my son would come home with cut lips, when ask they say he cut his lip in outdoors when he fell etc. Bottom line: This wasn't just an accident--it was a combination of negligence, lack of supervision, dishonesty, and poor leadership. When something goes wrong involving your child, you expect honesty and accountability. We received neither. I would strongly caution other parents before trusting this school with their children. The teachers never smile. This is me trying to get information from my son on what happened as teachers did not give me any information https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FRd70qtJiE0SQ_1rn-NyS_xT5nV-_7wO/view?usp=sharing

This is my 4 year old's second…read moreyear at Villa and he started as an extremely shy and sweet kid with no previous day care or school experience. In the past year, he has blossomed into an independent and assertive child, and he has learned a lot both academically and socially. Villa has an amazing ratio of 1-8 (3 teachers per classroom of 24 kids) that sometimes falls to 1-6 or 1-7. They are a true Montessori school, and the child stays with the same teachers for all the years. My son's two main teachers, Mrs. Fan and Mrs. De Silva, have been with the school for over a decade. My son has received a lot of individualized attention and loves his teachers. I think he would like to live with Mrs. Fan if given the chance. :) The teachers at Villa are extremely good at what they do and very passionate about Montessori education. When I went in for "observation day," each child was doing a different "job," so the teachers were managing 24 different activities, but everything was still very orderly. Even the tiny 2.5 year olds knew the rules and everyone knew to clean up. We really appreciate how diligent our son has become with washing hands, tidying up spaces, and wiping surfaces! Director Lin's leadership is also really exceptional. She is extremely organized, responsible, and sets clear expectations for the kids and parents. I love that the handbook, documents, twice-a-year report cards, and paperwork are all in good order. She is also very hands-on and I have seen her consoling a crying child in her lap, spoon feeding another child during lunch, and taking the time to talk with the kids individually. I am so impressed that she takes the time to get to know every one of the forty-some kids at Villa. She works many many hours at Villa and commutes from an hour away. Villa is not just a job for her - this is her life's purpose. Everyone at the school is very responsive and excellent with communication. Karen (who manages most of the administrative tasks) and Director Lin will usually respond to messages on Brightwheel within a few hours. We really appreciate how they take parent concerns very seriously. The flexibility of programs at Villa is also great - they have AM program (9-12 pm), PM program (1-4 pm), PM plus extended care (1-5 pm), full day (9-4 pm), or full day plus extended care (9-5 pm). I feel very lucky to be able to enroll my child in a half day program so that he gets a few hours of school every day, and we still get enough hours to go on an adventure together outside of school. One really brilliant and unique thing about Villa is that their after-school program (school ends at 4, there is another hour of after school until 5 pm) teaches the children Mandarin Chinese! I enrolled my son in the after school hour just for the Chinese class - Mrs. Fan and Mrs. Liu are both excellent Chinese teachers from Taiwan. I sat in on one class to see what it would be like, and was astounded that all of the kids had excellent pronunciation. Chinese tones are very difficult so it was really surprising to see a room full of non-Chinese kids speaking perfect Chinese! Lastly, the other Villa families also makes this place special. Villa is a non-profit with a governing board that is made up of parents. We really appreciate the parents that have taken on this responsibility. We have also made many friends at Villa, and really appreciate the sense of community. We truly couldn't have asked for a better preschool experience and will definitely miss this school when our son graduates!

Ms. Lu, Kanwal and her family love all the children and take good care of them. Our son developed a bond with the caregivers and was happy to see them every morning. They prepare homemade healthy food which is included in the tuition (this is so rare!) and the kids get a lot of outside time. One of the best parts of home daycare settings like this one is the children benefit from spending time with babies all the way to preschool age! Also, it is very clean. Our son never got COVID or anything more than a cold while he was taken care of there, at the height of COVID infections. I wholeheartedly recommend Shining Star to all local families.

Appleseed Montessori was the best decision for my child. I had him enrolled in Nov 2021 when he was…read more18 months old. He was under the care of Ms Maria, Ms Ericka and Ms Ana in Room 4A and he loved every moment of it! His teachers cared so much for him and I was able to see that he was actively learning through jobs, art, parallel play right from the start. His teachers even helped him eat when he was still adjusting to eating on his own - which was huge for me. He then moved into Room 2 in 2023 and while it took a while for him to get adjusted, I could actively work with his teachers on potty training, eating habits and general well being. Both Ms Diane and Mrs Sanghera are wonderful and caring teachers who handle transitions seamlessly and ensure the kids are having a good time! You can always ask the teachers for an update and they'll have something specific to say - that always made me feel like they have an eye on every kid. My child has made so many friends here and I'm ever grateful for that. The school is led by Ms Michaella, an excellent administrator. She manages the staff, interacts wonderfully well with the students, and actively engages with the parents. The school also organizes many events (halloween parade, annual day, PJs day..) which is fun for both kids and parents (if you like being part of the activities). They have partnered with Amazing Athletes so it's easy to get the kids interested in many sporting endeavors. The school also has lunch meals provided through a partner service but I did not opt for it - I liked sending lunch with my kid. On the whole, one of the best places to keep your child healthy and safe. True value for your money!

They do tons of crafts and activities, celebrate all major festivals and teach the Montessori style. The teachers are patient with the kids and help them settle down well. We had a wonderful experience and formed a great parent-tot group. The teachers involve parents in every activity and ask for volunteers regularly. That forms a wonderful community which we have continued even after all the kids graduated from Appleseed!

I remember I had a very kind teacher who made me feel safe and welcome. We were encouraged to take care of plants and I remember mine was in a little bunny pot. My mom tells me she loved my teacher too. For birthdays, we wore a giant paper yellow hat. One day if I can find that photo, I'll attach it to this post. Every time I drive along 680 and see that Day Star sign, I'm so glad the school is still there. From the recent reviews, it seems the school is still thriving. Just wanted parents to know that this school has a solid foundation as an incredible school from its beginnings. Thank you for everything, Day Star!

We've had a wonderful experience at Day Star Montessori. Our child has been here for over a year,…read moreand we honestly haven't had any negative experiences. The teachers are patient, caring, and genuinely invested in the children's growth. Whenever we had concerns, they were always willing to listen, work with us, and support our child in becoming more confident and comfortable in social settings. Another thing we really appreciate is the schedule. The school has relatively few closure days compared to many other programs, which is very helpful for working parents. If you need extended care until 6:00 PM, there are also many enrichment activities available, giving children plenty of opportunities to explore new interests. We're grateful for the care and support our child has received here and would highly recommend Day Star Montessori to other families.
