My first visit, I had to LITERALLY carry my 55 lb dog in because he was so afraid of the vet... the second time we went, I could hardly contain his excitement to get through the doors! Every visit is pure joy for him, even if he's getting shots or nail trims. I had to have a dog put down a few weeks ago, and I have never experienced better bedside care from a veterinary practice. Yes, they are a tad higher fee-wise, but so worth it knowing my babies always get good care from all staff!

Everything but everything is wrong with this place They close doors for training or meetings, often -once almost all day for computers to be checked over. The doctors relay on techs too much and I had to contact tech to get message to doctor. Had an emergency with my girl and could not see Mottel for 7 days Had to use Marco the following day. My girl Hates her.. Marco was rough and my baby tried to bite her 2 times. They took texts.. Make long story short, she over medicated her I took her off and was better in 2 days...and I told them so.. one week later Marco contacted me through texting asking how she was doing and if the symptoms come back to contact her. Yeah Right!! The front desk clerk is an IDIOT! What is said here is solely what I had experienced and never want to again!

Our dog has been displaying some alarming behavior, and it's only getting worse, circling, circling, circling, unsettled, huffing and puffing. It could be neurological, she could have injured herself, vertebrae injury, leg injury, luxating patella (she is a 4.5 lb "jumper," she leaps and bounds all over the place). I called them to schedule an appointment based on the positive reviews of the doctor, Dr. Valenti. The woman who answered the phone was extremely indifferent and lacking any kind of compassion when I explained my dog's extremely unsettled behavior and urgent need to bring her in for an evaluation. I spent two to three minutes explaining my dog's symptomatology, only for the woman to curtly tell me "so, so, sorry, Dr. Valenti is no longer taking on new dog/cat patients." Their website does not state that Dr. Valenti is no longer accepting new animal patients, quite the contrary, so their website is quite misleading. If he doesn't want to take on any new animal patients then update your website, people, or don't have any website at all. The woman could have at least offered a referral to another vet clinic, or upon hearing my anxiety over what could be wrong with my precious fur baby talk to Dr. Valenti if he could see her. If Dr. Valenti and his office is as nice and customer friendly as the other Yelp reviews claim I would have expected more. Further, like human doctors, veterinary doctors take an oath upon graduation from veterinary college "to practice wisely, with compassion and concern for both human and animal welfare." Hmm, where is adherence to this oath? Total lack of compassion here. The other reviews are definitely canned, fake reviews and are not to be believed. Very unprofessional and unempathetic.

We only ever found every single vet tech and veterinarian to be professional and kind, with easy to get appointments (so also a well run office), a clean space, and even several day-of emergency appointments (yes, we did have THAT kind of crazy golden retreiver. I'll never forget the time he ate an entire Calzone and the techs said they found Rosati's wrapping paper in his puke). Unfortuntaely, our dog was diagnosed with cancer last fall. In the five months since then, the kindness and compassion provided to our family leaves me without words. Dr. Kohler is a god send, and I am so grateful we had her to lean on during this process. We called what must have been dozens of times about various symptoms + prescription pick ups and are so grateful to the entire staff for dealing with us. The process of having to let him go was devastating to us, and their care was so thought out. They lit candles in the lobby, closed us off to a quiet corner of the building and turned the lights down for us. His remains were clearly handled with respect and care, as shown in the beautiful box of ashes, pawprint, etc that I was truly not expecting (we have never received ashes for any pet or human before and didn't know much about it at all). I will never forget the way they treated us as we lost our beautiful Hank too soon. Thank you to Dr. Kohler and everyone at Bremen.

Dentals are extremely expensive in Chicago. Our consultation in May went great and we scheduled the appointment for the actual dental on June 25. I am very pleased with my cat's experience and dental procedure outcome. She's a happy girl with 9 fewer teeth, but no more disease and smelly breath. I recommend Mokena Animal Clinic for your pet care needs.

I asked for a refund of the medication cost of $85- which felt appropriate given they knew they were in the wrong. Got a pretty snarky email from the owner telling me no way and to go find another vet if I'm unhappy. $85 seemed like a small price to pay to keep my business given what happened. And what's more is they worked hard to make me the bad guy in the email after Emily on the phone acknowledged she knew the vet did the wrong thing. The two main vets here are still good- not hating on them. I just think it's normal if you know you did something wrong to try and make it right. Apparently the owner disagrees.

Now it's apparently all about profit and greed more so than providing good care for people's pets. They seem to hire anybody right out of vet school with no real life experience. From what I've seen they're not even supervised by a seasoned vet. Our last two visits there were terrible. They grossly misdiagnosed one of our dogs. We were told she probably just had an upset stomach, when in fact, she was in kidney failure. A simple review of the blood results and they would have seen it. Our girl may be with us here today if they would've diagnosed her properly and promptly put her on medication. They gave us a refund without us even asking for one because they knew their two vets fuck-ed up. They simply don't care. It appears to be all about quantity, not quality. Our most recent visit they also misdiagnosed one of other girls. I took her in because she had a sporadic cough that went on for close to an hour. It sounded like maybe something was caught in her throat, but I wanted to make certain it was nothing serious. The rookie vet terrified me saying that a cough typically indicates heart failure, heart disease etc. She did not ask me about any other symptoms. She talked me into doing several tests, with the total being close to $1500. She came to the conclusion that our girl had a significant heart murmur, heart disease, heart failure, and an enlarged heart . I was told she would it be on medication for the rest of her life. She terrified me by telling me to keep an eye on her gums, make sure they looked pink, not bluish at all. She filled a prescription for heart medication and told me that she would need to be on for the rest of her life. The same day I scheduled her for an ultrasound. A few weeks later she had the procedure done. It turned out that she has a mild heart murmur, no heart disease, no enlarged heart, and no heart failure. No need for medication. If you care about your pets, I do not recommend you taking them to this place. I will never step foot inside their door again. I will be filing complaints with the state against the few vets that misdiagnosed our girls. Somebody needs to be held accountable. I don't find it surprising at all that after I did some research that ethos was pushing the staff to do unnecessary testing! F Ethos! By the way, I believe the yelp reviews more so than the Google reviews. My understanding Google can be paid to remove negative reviews. And I also believe there are a lot of fake reviews on Google. If you truly care about your pets, I urge you to not take them to this place. I've seen too many horror stories similar to ours.

She saw our furbaby and worked hands on with our baby till the end. There was another Doctor who we absolutely love. She was gentle and genuine. She was supportive! We added her to our dog list of doctors because she had a ton of knowledge on senior dogs. While she did not put her down, she still came to say her goodbye. Katelyn a groomer there worked along side of our dog. We did let the front staff know if they wanted to tell Katelyn before we put her down that she was welcome to come back. She did come back to say her goodbye to Cocoa when she did not have too. She is a fantastic groomer!!! She takes solid notes. Sofia was a beautiful soul too and we appreciated her. She very sensitive towards the situation. We did ask for clippings of our dogs fur and we never got that from them. So if this is something you want from your dog please do it on your own terms or have a trusted neighbor assist you if you can't. I was planning on turning it into a necklace but never got it. When we picked up our dogs ashes. Staff were sad. One staff she was very kind but she firmly told my husband he was a good Dad. She did not say anything to me on that matter which hurt because while I was not there mostly for the vet appointments. She did not know the work that I did at home or if I attended by phone. So that rubbed me the wrong place. When Katelyn was gone on maternity leave. They had a brand new groomer. She was crappy. She injured our dogs ear. Our dog had to receive vet care. They should have credited full amount back to us but they only gave us partial. That is not substantial when a newbie injures your dogs ear.

Her office even sent those X-rays to the chiropractor at my request. Later, when I tried to submit the chiropractic visits to insurance, I learned that my insurance required documentation from my regular vet. I did not know that ahead of time. I was not asking Dr. Rose to do anything dishonest. I was asking whether she could either provide a referral going forward or simply provide a factual letter stating that her office had transferred my dog's X-rays to the chiropractor I had chosen. Instead, I was accused by them of trying to commit insurance fraud. At first, Dr. Rose communicated through an employee back and forth. When I asked to speak to her directly, I was very upset for being accused of trying to commit "insurance fraud" and instead of trying to resolve the issue she was rude, accusatory, offensive, and dismissive. Her office claimed there was nothing in my dog's records showing she knew he was going to the chiropractor. When I provided the email showing they had sent the X-rays to that chiropractor months earlier, there was no apology and no accountability. A few months later, I called Meadowbrook to make an appointment for my cat who was in need of an urgent appointment and I had not established this cat with any other vets. I was surprised to learn that all of my pets' records had been transferred to LePar. I never asked for all of my pets to be transferred. I was told Dr. Rose transferred them because of the chiropractic and insurance issue. She apparently decided she no longer wanted to treat my pets, but never had the courtesy to tell me directly. In hindsight, she did me a favor. Since leaving, I have seen the difference between low-cost veterinary care and truly high-quality care. My current vets take more time, look deeper, and try to figure out the cause of symptoms instead of just prescribing drugs. With Dr. Rose, the office was often chaotic, the waits were long, and she was almost always rushed. In my experience, she was quick to prescribe Apoquel and Cytopoint for my dog, but did not offer meaningful alternatives or a broader discussion about what could be causing the symptoms. She also does not seem to support premium nutrition, raw feeding, freeze-dried raw food, chiropractic care, acupuncture, or a more holistic approach to pet health. I was also later told about a tragic incident involving her own Chihuahua being attacked and killed by a pit bull in the back area of the office. While I am very sympathetic to the horror of that incident, and I do not know all the details, it reinforced my concerns about the often very chaotic environment I had already experienced there. If you need inexpensive basic veterinary care and do not mind long waits, Dr. Rose may be an option. But if you want thoughtful, thorough care focused on your pet's long-term health and quality of life, I would look elsewhere. I have hesitated to leave this review because I do believe Dr. Rose and her staff love animals, but at the same time, you get what you pay for and sometimes you don't even get that. It's so unprofessional to transfer all of my pets records without having the courtesy to tell me so that when we were experiencing an emergency we did not have an established vet to go to for that cat. If she truly cared for my pets, she would have sent me a letter or made a call to let me know that my pets and I are no longer welcome there. This whole situation was handled poorly. I felt accused, dismissed, and then quietly pushed out as a client without the courtesy of a direct conversation. She was right to force me to find a vet better aligned with my beliefs of the importance of holistic care. She was right that I needed a vet that was not her. I am grateful my pets are now receiving better care somewhere else.
