Reads in the Red I…read moredidnt know this place existed, and didnt know what the red building was until I approached this place after I was in the area. Is the building red because of the red dirt? If so thats is pretty thorough planning. This library is small but contained troves of books and novelties. There is also computers there so its a nice balance between the old and new. I haven't been to a library in awhile and from I saw, it was only very young kids in there and older people. I guess all the people in between dont have a use for the library as much as before, but its nice to walk into one as if traversing the annals of history. Please stay, we still need you.

I think it's because the "security" guard stays sitting inside instead of walking around and patrolling the outside. Maybe they need to hire more security? Literally the only thing wrong with this library is the front door issue with cussing, vaping, smoking and general safety and health issues.

The staff was very personable and helpful. I commend them for making this library an inviting place to be for their rural community.

I enjoy coming to this library because the librarians are all very friendly and very helpful. They've helped me find books and how their library is set up. During story time, my kids enjoy the books and sing-along activities and at the end the kids get to do a craft that is related to the books that were read to them. This is such a great way to help practice little kid listening and motor skills. I would definitely recommend coming to keiki story time if you have littles between 0-5 or if you're homeschooling because they have so much to help your little ones.

They have monthly craft events, movie nights and more! We especially love Wednesday story time. There's lots of space for little ones with singing, dancing, a craft and of course book reading. Every 1st Wednesday they have puzzles and STEM toys out for little ones to play. Lastly, for older kids and adults, they offer all kinds of reading challenges some through logging books manually, some through the Beanstack app. Currently, during the Olympics, they have a reading challenge where you earn medals! They also have another challenge where you log books to earn prizes. Most recently, we participated in therapets event where you could read to a therapy dog. My daughter loved petting all the dogs and getting to know them! Overall, we absolutely love learning, reading, and playing at the library! Overall, we love learning, reading, and playing here!

In my opinion, they are a great community resource that is often underutilized and under appreciated. We live in town, but have been to this library a few times because they were cohosting (with Aloha Adventurers Guild) Dungeons and Dragons sessions and our daughters wanted to participate. The games/sessions were held in a fairly large conference room off the main library. Inside the library, there was also a display of DND related books and graphic novels which was a nice connection. My daughters wound up picking up and reading a few. Great community partnership. Ample parking. Clean and organized. Clean bathrooms (VERY important for my wife). Pleasant staff.

If you just moved here and don't have a permanent address quite yet, don't worry about it. You're able to update your address at a later time. The staff are really friendly and awesome. They've got bunches of books from every genre, along with DVDs and games you can checkout as well. The DVDs and games have a limited number you can check out, but you can check out all the books you want! What I'm not a huge fan of is their non fiction section. There's only non-fiction, there's no autobiography, historical categories, they're just all together, which makes it harder to find what you're looking for. Read some books people!
