Cock a doodle doo! You ever wanted a rooster every morning to wake you up? Well heres your chance. Theres a nearby rooster down on the street that makes noise all morning. theres - no hotel lobby - no business work space area - no gym - no pool - and the elevator broke (great for walking up/down 7 floors with a baby stroller) What else... - door seeps in light from hallways at night - door is about 2 feet from elevator so you always hear people - hotel shares space with 'EGGs and Things' restaurant so its super crowded every morning. - wall paint is chipping and old - flashing white light at ceiling from the fire alarm (terrible for sleeping) - carpet is damp - AC unit is super loud and nasally. it also drips water - beds are rock hard and pillows are ultra flat - pee stain on bedsheet - shower water is strangely super cold or super hot - lots of street noise (but this is okay because its in the heart of Waikiki and at a great central location) - rooms are very small, so its hard to get thru door with strollers, luggage and other things - probably also suffers from the oval design of the rooms due to the circular shape of the building At this price point, its all for the location but we were so dreading the nights because the beds were so uncomfortable. Instead of relaxation, we came home with aching pain in our back, neck and shoulders. This place is in dire needs of updated beds, paint, carpeting and plumbing.

A very good experience for my friend and I! Front desk was kind and welcoming. Room is perfect for a place to stay for a weekend. Will come back for our next staycation!!! Thank you Ashton!

Had to hang my own curtain since it seemed the one in room was broken. Light was beaming so bright inside.

I booked this hotel president weekend. When i first arrived i was told my room was upgraded to a ocean view, no charge. So i was stoked! Parking was $45 a night. When i first entered the room, it was tiny. Especially for the price i paid. My room was about $300+. My bathroom had used hand soap in the holder. That was already red flag. I noticed my sliding door had no curtain as seen in pic. I had to hand the blanket. There was absolutely no privacy. I was on the 3rd floor which is right above the eggs and things restaurant And closer to the road. The outside noise was so loud and there was some drunk man screaming for a good 1-2 hours. I am very annoyed and wonder what you could do to fix this situation....

This location can't be beat. The rooms are small, but for the easy access to the beach and the fun amenities they provide for the price I think it's definitely worth it. There's free filtered water in the lobby along with free movie rentals that's perfect for nights when kids are just too tired. They have paddle boards, floaties and sand toys you can borrow on beach days too. We stayed in an ocean view which was quite beautiful to sit and people watch from. Big plus is eggs n things is downstairs so you can grab breakfast and enjoy up in your room. Definitely would stay again.

    Better than a Stanley!

I absolutely loved this hotel. Low key and less expensive compared to bigger names in the area, but didn't take away at all from the basics I need-- a balcony, ocean view and fresh air. The view from our room was perfect and the staff were all so nice. As a book lover, I liked that they have a mini library in the lobby. I was already reading a book on Kindle and I finished it one lazy afternoon at the beach, and then didn't have time for more. However, I love the concept. They also give you one plastic water bottle per person, with the name of the hotel on it. To me, that's way better than the famous Stanley because it comes with memories and adventure. They have water-filling station in the lobby, next to the library. There was only one time I was less than happy when a guy in the reception in the morning told me there is a limit of sugar I can have per day, when I asked for extra sugar for my coffee. It hit me the wrong way because a hotel that's charging over $300 a night can afford the sugar. What did he think I was going to do with the sugar, sell it for profit? Lol. My dude, I actually consume that much sugar per coffee. Luckily the good experiences greatly overshadowed this small bad moment. John and Steve were always great and they never said anything when I asked for extra sugar.

We stayed here for a staycation for my birthday last weekend. You cannot beat the location and friendly (but not bothersome staff). Something that is overlooked for locals is the amazing access to the surfboard locker! My husband and sons were able to keep their boards downstairs in a safe area and go for a surf anytime (check in with front desk to grab the key). We had to park off-property at a nearby hotel which was a little bit of a trek, but we didn't leave once we got to hotel. If parking lot is full they do have a loading zone they let us use to haul our things to and from our room at checkout. Rooms are small but the large balconies more than make up for it..people watching at its finest :). There was even a 1/2 marathon happening out front on one of the mornings of our stay (complete with loudspeakers and music etc) and we had the balcony door closed and you couldn't hear anything! Overall, we cannot wait to plan another staycation to Waikiki, and looking forward to staying at this fun hotel again!

Not the fanciest hotel in Waikiki..but this establishment is one of the best bang for you buck and has one of the best ocean views of the beach. It's right smack in the middle of the city so everything is walking distance. Across the street from Duke's statue. ABC store just downstairs off the building, and an Egg n Things breakfast place (that's always packed) just off the front desk. The rooms are small, but clean, updated, and adequate...it has a fridge, coffee maker, but no microwave. We didn't really mind because we spend our time outside enjoying Oahu anyway. What this hotel makes up for and definitely makes it worth it is the perfect ocean view you'll get (if you get the ocean front rooms). Parking can be troublesome if you have a rental car because it is very limited, although they have additional parking that's about 2 blocks away from a sister company. We lucked out and got parking in the building. The host, Shawn, is one of the nicest you'll meet. Very hospitable and very helpful. The staff are all very nice as well. They have a wall with pictures and history of the hotel by the front desk...I recommend you read (or at least browse through it). It gives you an appreciation of the hotel and its owner. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was the 2nd of our two hotels in Waikiki during our 1 week stay. Hotel #1 (outrigger beachcomber) for its convenience to food & shopping; hotel #2 (Waikiki Circle) strictly for its beach front location. Its an older hotel that offers little in luxuries & comforts but more than made up for it by its prime locale. We pre-booked the most expensive ocean front room 2 months in advance, but at the check in the gentleman wanted to put us on 4th floor which will only have a tree top view of Waikiki. He offered to put us on upper floor if we pony up extra $25 per night. Why am I always the victim of unscrupulous practices? sigh.... Anyways we decided to pay and was upgrade to 12th floor. There was also a resort fee ($25 + 1.18 + 2.56, daily). For a small hotel without any gym, pool or other facilities I don't think that was justified. The moment we entered the room we knew it was prob worth the $25/night ransom. From the entrance alone we already had an unobstructed view of the blue Pacific. Perched from the balcony the view was even more stunning: to the south stood the imposing Diamond Head, to the north the iconic Moana Surfrider hotel, Kalakaua ave (Waikiki main strip) was right beneath us. Right in-front of our hotel is the Waikiki beach & Duke's statue, literally a Brady to Gronk TD throw away. Everyday we sat on the balcony and listened to the sounds of the sea, watching surfers riding the waves Sunset was magnificent as we faced almost directly toward the West, even in the morning and during the day the sight and sounds were fabulous. Even if they charged us $50 extra per day we would have gladly oblige, will even throw in our pet dwarf hamster Sophia on top. The room was dated and had that 1970's vibe: old decor, small bathroom, tiny shower with lukewarm water & anemic pressure. On the positive side it has a Keurig maker and most importantly a safety box. The queen beds were comfy, pillow were not overly fluffy but adequate . They were low profiles so more ideal for my bad back. Daily newspaper was delivered to the door, beach towels are avail upon request, ice machine down stairs but no water station. There is no lobby, 1 gentleman in the booth next to the elevators handles all transactions & interactions. They are probably the descendants of Mrs Kwock the original founder. Next door there is McDonald , egg & things is affiliated with hotel but guests enjoy 10% discount by showing hotel card. If you venture 1 block to the east you will find a hidden gem called "Mac", it has no line & far superior food. We ate most of the time in places further up North near our hotel #1, around Inter Market & Royal Hawaiian Center. Overall we had a pleasant stay & would def consider returning for its prime beach front location.

I've stayed here a couple times over the years but most recently this past weekend. The hotel is a little older but the views definitely do not disappoint and the location is excellent. The staff have always been nice and attentive but parking can be a challenge. Definitely recommend!

It was held in the Waialae Ballroom on a Saturday afternoon with lunch being served for all the guests. What a beautiful location where you can see the lush garden just outside, the pacific ocean was a few yards away when you're done eating, you're free to roam the area and see the beautiful architecture and structure of this fabulous hotel. I was not able to play tourist as this party had to end by 2pm and I had commitments thereafter. But for future hotel guests information, they also have dolphins for you to see. The food here was incredible and of good quality. Good for any type of gatherings of any size breakfast, lunch or dinner. Bartenders and service at the bar was even better! The amount of attention every table was receiving was amazing, glasses were never empty and always started with a full pour. Self parking was completely full, although valet parking service was a better idea. Keep in mind this is a full service 5 star property located in Kahala/Waialae. However, on my most recent trip, I decided to try the Hyatt Regency, thinking the lounge access and more resort-style atmosphere might be a better fit for my elderly parents. We booked three rooms for our family, and I can confidently say that this stay completely changed my perspective and that is largely thanks to Grace at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, Grace went above and beyond to make sure our check-in experience was seamless and welcoming. Traveling with elderly parents can sometimes be challenging, but she handled everything with such patience, warmth, and genuine care. She was incredibly attentive to our needs, thoughtfully ensuring that our rooms were convenient and comfortable for everyone in our group. What truly stood out was her ability to make us feel valued not just as guests, but as people. Her professionalism was matched by her kindness, and it was clear she takes great pride in creating a positive experience for those she helps. She anticipated needs we hadn't even expressed and handled every detail with ease and grace. Because of her exceptional service, what was meant to be a one time stay at the Hyatt Regency has completely changed my preference moving forward. Grace's hospitality exceeded all expectations and made our trip that much more memorable. It's rare to encounter someone who leaves such a lasting impression, but Grace absolutely did. She is a true asset to the Hyatt Regency, and I sincerely hope she receives the recognition she deserves. I will definitely be returning and recommending this property to others because of her.

During that time, the property experienced a loss of power and water, and the elevators were not working, which made things quite challenging. That said, once the weather cleared, we were able to appreciate what the hotel had to offer. We had booked two adjoining oceanfront rooms, and the view was beautiful when the skies opened up. Waking up to the ocean right outside our window made it all worthwhile. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but the front desk, maintenance team, and all the staff members we interacted with were all very friendly and really helpful despite the difficult circumstances. Their positive attitude made a big difference in our stay. The location is def a huge plus, lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance, making it super convenient. The pool is a bit small and tends to get crowded, but it was heated, which was nice, and we really enjoyed the SWIM bar and restaurant. The food and drinks there were surprisingly good but they have a new menu so I was disappointed I didn't get to try some of the items I saw on the Yelp reviews . Overall, the service, location, and beautiful oceanfront views made our stay very enjoyable.

The location? It's great because it is literally beach front; however, it is on the southern most edge part of that beach area. This means that the beach right outside is jam packed with tourists coming and going and you would have to walk a decent ways up the beach to find a spot. Regardless, a beach front is a beach front so it's nice to get down there quick and enjoy the beach. The hotel is in a great spot in Waikiki because there are tons and tons of shopping stores and food areas within a 15 minute walk so you never really have to drive out. Monkey Pod restaurant down below has great reviews and is delicious, but I personally think their menu is quite small. They also have a pool side bar/cafe that serves drinks, snacks, and meals and is a secondary pool-side restaurant. They play music down there every night. It's very calm, quaint, and peaceful to enjoy a night in the hotel. Unfortunately, the prices of their drinks are ridiculously overpriced. $17 for a Mai Thai not including tip. Insane. The room? I would say pretty average for any decent hotel. It was clean, the bed was good, the pillows were nice and big. The balcony is small, but can sit two people to enjoy the outside. The down side is the rooms of the two towers of the hotel face each other. So you don't get a beach front view unless you pay the big extra for those rooms. My biggest gripe about the room was the shower. The whole 7 days the water would change from warm, hot, very hot, rinse and repeat every few seconds. The price? Very expensive, but that's the price you pay for a beach front hotel PLUS it being on Waikiki beach. There's probably not big deals/sales unless you buy it through Costco Travel which is what I did which saves you probably a couple hundred at the very least. Valet is automatically included which is another 60 per night (not including whatever few bucks you tip them whenever you go out) so this would easily rack up your bill. I'd say the closest free parking is at least a 20 minute walk one way. Despite my rating the hotel a 4/5, would I recommend this spot? It depends. If you are a newcomer to Oahu and want to experience the casual, tourist experience of Oahu, want that beach front hotel, and have the cash, I would recommend this. If you are not a newcomer, there are many other hotels that will suit many other tastes. And honestly, staying at any other hotel outside of Waikiki is probably best if you want to really save on money and see better beaches.

They really carried the experience and handled issues quickly and gracefully. After a disappointing first room, they immediately helped move us to a much nicer upgraded room that felt far more in line with what you'd expect from a Ritz-Carlton property. That said, the original room was surprisingly dated, worn down, stained furniture, and not especially clean. Definitely not the luxury standard I was expecting for the price point. The second room was significantly better and saved the stay. The spa was another standout. Excellent treatments, knowledgeable staff, and one of the better spa experiences we had in Waikiki. You can tell the spa team takes pride in what they do. Unfortunately, the food across the property was consistently underwhelming. Honestly some of the weakest meals we had during our time in Waikiki, especially considering how many great dining options are nearby. The pool area was also pretty average, nice enough, but nothing memorable or particularly luxurious compared to other resorts in Hawaii. Overall, this place has incredible service but the actual property and food don't fully live up to the Ritz-Carlton name as one would think.

We dined in at a nearby restaurant, then walked around seeking Kona coffee. Our suite was ready around 3 PM. The suite was very spacious and I am mostly impressed with the cleanliness. The bathtub did have a ring of discoloration surrounding the drain. I gave my kids showers instead of baths to be on the safer side. I love that there are multiple pools on the resort. Although, I am disappointed that the adult pool closes at 6 PM, which all the other pools close at 9 PM. There is a private beach area, which my kids enjoyed. Beach chairs are $26 each, which are quite expensive. I appreciate the $65 per night dinning credit, which we utilized at the on site market for snacks and water. We enjoyed the brief firework show from our balcony suite. We attended the on site Huli Huli event, which was quite disappointing. I did not enjoy the food and it was pricey. $75 for skewers, corn, and shrimp. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will contemplate on a return visit in the future.

Hotel offers different types of pillows in the room and spare blanket in armoire. Also in the armoire is hangers, an ironing board and steaming iron, which came in handy for those wrinkled linen shirts mashed in my suitcase. The Bathroom. - one sink with a little counter top space but sufficient. The toilet was also bidet in the master bath. The shower pressure on 21st is ok but low, but it did the job. The Ac in room was awesome! It gets super cold, if you need it, quickly. It was nice for those hot humid days of walking in Waikiki. It had an In-room mini fridge and bar sink with 4 real drinking glasses, which I like. Hated there was no freezer in the mini fridge But the bell hop station offers to freeze ice packs, or whatever you need, for you. We had 3 sliding doors with west views and moderate views of Waikiki beach. The Second bedroom has own bath with also a single sink, toilet and shower- No bidet. The room/bedding/bathrooms were clean with no mold in the showers. The furniture showed a little wear but nothing excessive. The Elevators were fast! The pool, mangers reception and breakfast are all on the 4th Floor (terrace level). Breakfast was typical of Embassy Suites, I like the made to order omelette which makes it much better. Lots of fresh fruit and even some miso soup and other Japanese/Hawaiian offerings. The Staff was awesome and super friendly. I Used valet every day. Great service, fast and practical IMO but hard to swallow the daily fee. The hotel was attacked to the Waikiki beach walk. Island vintage coffee was a regular stop for coffee and sometimes breakfast. Order coffee or food to go online after 8am to save a ton of time standing in line. Hotel was Very close to all ththe shops. Awesome location. Much better location than Hilton Hawaiian village location!!! Our fav restaurant close by the hotel was Kana Pilla and Monkey Pod, which were across the street. Make sure to make Open Table reservations for both way ahead of time. I did mine 2 months out. Housekeeping willing to clean and supply new towels daily however linens are not cleaned but every 5 day, unless you request it, which they are happy to do! Views from 21st floor were awesome and all 21st floor rooms had extensive balconies. 3 sliding doors. Keep in mind Ac doesn't work, yes the fan blows, when the doors are open!! It's too humid at night to sleep with them open so we had them open for select times, mostly am. There's a Washer/dryer laundry room on site, 3rd floor only. It was Very convenient especially packing 4 days of clothes for a 10 day trip so our suitcases weren't stuffed . Use laundry room on sundays/mon or late evenings when people are too busy arriving and leaving. $5.25 to each wash load and I think $4.75 to dry. Washers only wash with cold which I like. Perm press on dryer seemed to dry all our shirts and socks well. We hung our nice Aloha shirts on the hangers in the room and they dried within a day. Washer and dryers take credit cards. Yes they're is a soap machine that also takes credit cards. I didn't use and just bought soap from ABC. ABC stores are EVERYWHERE so don't lug around suntan lotion or waters in your suitcase. Just buY at ABC which is only 20 steps away. FYI ABC doesn't no GIVE out bags for items unless you spend over a certain amount. ANC bags cost like .50 cents. ABC has Awesome poke and alcohol (spirit and beer) choices. Yes single purchase tall beers too. Don't forget the free brief fireworks show in front of the Hilton Hawaii Village on Friday nights only. We saw them set off at 7:45p by the lagoon. It's amazing how many people attend so be prepared for the crowds to and from. Big tip: make open table reservations for all your restaurants months ahead! All places are super busy until about 8:45 pm on most nights. Hope I helped.

One of the important standards I look for in a hotel stay, is a focus on supporting locals. For me, if there's a Starbucks in the lobby, then I'm already disappointed. This hotel has one of my favorite local chain cafes, Honolulu Coffee Company. The only local café that has consistently made perfect crema foe decades. Starbucks baristas are not trained for this. The hotel also has restaurants with lots of local flavor. The sushi buffet is amazing but difficult to get a reservation on the weekends. 100 Sails also has a buffet though ordering ala cart seemed like the best choice for us. Best place to view the Friday fireworks. Our only disappointment was how much street noise we could hear throughout the night, even though we were on the 28th floor.
