Our stay began with an unacceptable first impression when we discovered that the sheets on our bed were dirty upon check-in. While mistakes can happen, this immediately raised concerns about the level of care being taken throughout the property. That evening, we were notified that the water would be shut off the following morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. We adjusted our plans and spent the morning away from the hotel. However, when we returned after 1:00 p.m., the water was still off. We were unable to shower, use the sinks, flush the toilets, or even get ice because the hallway ice machine was also out of service. The front desk simply told us there was nothing they could do. The next morning, any hope of enjoying a relaxing vacation disappeared when we were awakened by loud hammering beginning around 5:30 a.m. The hammering continued for hours, followed by power tools and construction crews working directly overhead. This was not ordinary hotel noise--it was major renovation work. When we stepped onto our balcony, construction debris was falling from the floor above. We also observed water leaking through a hallway ceiling light fixture. Security acknowledged the leak and advised that maintenance had been called. What concerns me most is that the hotel appeared to minimize what was happening. We were repeatedly told that the construction was taking place on the 10th floor and nowhere near our room on the 6th floor. Curious, I walked upstairs myself and immediately found a construction crew actively working on the 7th floor directly above us. Workers were yelling to one another, hammering, and transporting construction materials throughout the hallway. It became clear that the hotel knowingly rented guest rooms directly beneath active construction. This was not an unexpected emergency repair. It was planned renovation work, yet guests were not informed of the extent of the construction before arrival or offered the opportunity to stay in another area of the hotel. Had we known we would be sleeping directly beneath an active construction zone with work beginning before sunrise, we would have booked another hotel. When I sought assistance, Rowena at the front desk kindly provided me with the business card for Chrystalle Anger. I called multiple times, each call went directly to voicemail, and my messages were never returned. The complete lack of management response compounded an already frustrating experience. The OUTRIGGER Waikīkī Beach Resort has an incredible location, but location alone cannot overcome poor communication, preventable service failures, and the decision to place paying guests directly beneath active construction. Clean accommodations, functioning utilities, a reasonable opportunity to sleep, and responsive management are basic expectations--not luxury amenities. read more

Good: the pool. The pool is right on the beach and is clean. Your family can go on the beach and/or pool (options). People start lining up for pool chairs at 7:40 am. Many chairs have nice shades. I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The hotel was extremely dusty and there was a significant amount of noise due to major renovation and construction work taking place during our stay from Monday to Friday 9to 5. The weekend was okay since no construction was going on, so we could sleep and rest well on Saturday and Sunday. Otherwise we woke up 8am due to the drilling and shaking and big bang sound. The club lounge was also under renovation yet they still charge their resort fee. I found this very unfair, especially since some of the hotel facilities and amenities were unavailable. Unfortunately, the hotel staff are not very helpful and they were unfriendly. We stayed because July was very busy travel season. We wish they notified the construction information before we arrived. We were not able to find any other hotel nearby the beach, although we spent hours to search after we checked in and learned the huge renovation work: the dust construction noise and unavailable amenities made our stay unsatisfied given the condition of the hotel and lack of consideration for guest during our stay. I would do not recommend this hotel at all. I'm giving them two stars because the restaurants and the service at the restaurant and housekeeping services were great. read more

I arrived and had a little problem checking in because Travelocity did not pay them one of the room of three I booked. After all the calling and verifications of payment, Mykala helped me so much and to make me feel better, she put us in the newly renovated rooms. They are all beautiful rooms. I really appreciate that. To top it off, we had a wonderful housekeeping. Her name is Lili. We just loved her. Especially my mother. I think it's wonderful that she spoke my parents language, it just felt like home. She provided housekeeping services for all three days. She respected our space and our requests. Always had a smile on her. Besides the construction that's going on, I love everything about it. Check out was easy as well. I can't wait to come back here when the construction is all finished. read more

Ok so we didn't really get to STAY at the OUTRIGGER like some other might've done. So I apologize ahead if you plan to read this... it's Not much to go off, but enough to know MY EXPERIENCE of it. Which was LIVED SHORT! BUT... we DID tour around the lobby area. LOL! Only because we had to enter their side corridors to go up the escalator of the hotel, to the second floor where BLUE NOTE'S AT. Because the downstairs is more of their parking structure entrance/exit & they have little shops line up along side the walkway. There is a really huge lobby area in the second floor too! I think there was a restaurant on the other end of where BN is & shops. Souvenir shops. They also do have someone at the front desk to help. Concierge desk. Worst experience ever. The resort decided to stay open during a $100 million renovation without disclosing this to customers. There is currently construction (non-stop drilling) going on from 9-4pm M-F. Their excuse, "We notified all third party booking companies so THEY should have told you." Nope. the companies website should disclose this in BOLD. it's beyond shady - zero accountability, zero transparency- and the manager, Crystal, is unapologetic and rude. She offered reserved beach chairs and mai thais as compensation. Total joke. The entire facility is a construction zone with workers dragging mattresses down from floors, causing elevators to backup. The spa is also closed. The rooms they're putting people in during all of this are disgusting: old, cramped, dirty, horrible mattresses. Save your vacation money now by book literally anywhere else. read more

RUN AWAY from Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort! -Bought Costco Travel package in January for July travel. Upon arrival, decided to upgrade to direct oceanfront at $180/night additional -Entered room 1427, temperature was 79 degrees.15 hours later, A/C non-stop, temperature dropped to 73, higher during day. Also started water for shower, 15-20 minutes for "hot" water as the water was literally cold to my hand even after 15 minutes -Stopped by front desk to ask where fitness center was (and advise of the lack of A/C and no hot water issues with the room), was informed that it had been removed for new items to be stored for renovation (along with coin laundry). Was directed to a sister property Outrigger Paradise to utilize fitness center-almost 50% of their ellipticals/treadmills were "out of order" along with several weight machines. I found it fortunate that my Planet Fitness works in HNL...round trip UBER was around $37-$45 DAILEY...1.8 miles away...7 days (Full disclosure-it was only $8 at 3:00 am-sleep screwed up that deal.) -"Rowina" was summoned to discuss-I was told I could move rooms (literally after I had just finished unpacking, was exhausted and not happy about fitness center, A/C and hot water) and that she would send maintenance up. There were no additional ocean front rooms available, so I asked to have the issues fixed. She shared that she would credit my upgrade for last night....and then stated "and we will continue to credit you until the issues are resolved" I took the time to share the water issue and A/C running 24/7 and never reaching the desired temperature....oddly, the other staff members were fully aware, said "we know"...and "renovations are making the days very difficult". Interesting to note that I had to keep the blinds drawn to keep it cool in the room-thereby completely defeating paying for the view at $180 per night additional. -Maintenance arrived- said that he wondered if the renovation crew had "messed up" the water pipes and then stated that it "seemed cool now" (so I should be satisfied?). Interesting that he never approached the thermostat, never put his hand over the A/C vent...and never turned on the water...which would blare out that he knew of the issues and knew her was powerless. -"Rowina" also stated that I should have "checked out the Outrigger website to see that they no longer listed the laundry and fitness center as amenities", I guess that fully absolved them of any additional responsibility. (In January, the Costco website that renovation work (the kinder and gentler renovation work would be in play-but work would only be performed between 9:00-4:00 which they actually did). Unfortunately, I booked through Costco and therefore had zero need to visit their site. -Upon check out, I asked to speak to "Rowina" again to see what additional adjustments had made and was advised "no additional adjustments would be necessary as I had chosen to remain in the room"...when reminded of HER words of repairs being made from my second day, her memory went blank. Convenient for Outrigger...let the guest be damned. Interesting aside, while the A/C kept the room cool'ish running 24/7 with the blinds drawn...on Saturday morning (time to catch that ride to planet fitness), 3 lanes of traffic were blocked on Kalakaua Ave in front of the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort by a crane that lifts 80,000 pounds 120'...and low and behold---2 brand new 35' x 4' x 4' A/C compressors were going up top...but rest assured that Rowina still feels that I was being unreasonable in thinking there was an actual issue. My only understanding is that Outrigger globally has only 33 hotels and a total of 5,000 rooms...it became obvious that they do not have the expertise, experience, honesty with guests... nor cash to do major renovations. (Hilton/Marriot both have over 9,000 locations and 1.5 million rooms each). Making the guest be completely removed from the communication loop-I would have loved it at ANY point if Outrigger had EVER communicated any of these hardships I would endure...they had 6 months to share what my experience would entail...yet they chose to remain silent as I would have likely changed my booking to either the HHV or the Moana Surfrider next door where I typically stay. read more

The hotel contacted us only *6 weeks* before our stay to let us know that the property would be under renovation during our stay. The email didn't include vital information: the closest fitness center is .3 miles away during renovation, and that the hotel offers no onsite cultural activities and classes. I wish the hotel had been more transparent with us about the resort experience during construction. We expected the unpleasantly loud noise and dust, but not missing out on fitness spaces or cultural activities within our hotel.  To top it off, our room was falling apart: a drawer wouldn't close, the hot water wasn't working, and a lamp was missing screws and the bulb tilting at an angle.  Had we known about the deterioration of the room or lack of amenities, we would have booked elsewhere or opted to stay in the Outrigger Reef. read more

Nestled in-between the lovely pink Royal Hawaiian and the historic Moana Resorts, the Outrigger shares the same beach area and is in the perfect central spot on the Waikiki strip. The staff was all top notch and friendly, room clean, bed comfortable, and room laid out well. Our side view room still had a nice view of the water for the few times we were in our room. The A/C was perfect and usually is what I hate in hotel rooms as I overheat too easily, and theirs was a powerhouse. There is an ABC Store right in the lower level along with two restaurants. The Rotal Hawaiian Center was immediately next door and the International Marketplace directly across the street and the famous Duke's beach statue a 3-5min walk away. It truly is in the center of it all, but our 6th floor room was quiet and restful. We always found a free lounger on the lanai and all sorts of beach and ocean activities are right there. We truly could not have picked a better location. We walked to the Zoo and to Fort DeRussy Park for the Friday Night Fireworks. Felt safe walking everywhere. We did not use a car since we planned to just play in Waikiki (having been on Oahu before) - though we walked just a few blocks to rent a car just for the day (Enterprise) to get ourselves to the Polynesian Cultural Center (a MUST!!), so it was extremely convenient to pick it up and do the nighg drop off so we had no parking charges at all. The hotel also had daily activities for free, hula, bracelet making, lei making, etc. The water in front of the hotel was very safe to float out in the waves and enjoy the water (but not for snorkeling). A highlight for us was their free Hawaiian Vow Renewal Ceremony by the beach - so heartfelt, spiritual and now a cherished memory. Had NO complaints the entire stay. I researched a ton of hotels before trying this one and all my hard research paid off. We truly WILL stay here again if we come back to Oahu. read more

These rooms are huge. They're old school, but we love them. I wish the huge closets were smaller and instead the shower were bigger lol. It's a huge closet and a tiny shower lol. Love the lamps and the beds are comfortable. Love the huge balcony's and the fridge in the bathroom. The microwave was super convenient, liked that it was behind security to regulate not just any random ppl using it, but only guests. Did not care for the pool, it's way too crowded and not enough shade. I do love the coffee ship for açaí bowls but I don't care for their coffee. Bellhops are always really nice, but lately, some of the staff at dukes is really nice and go above and beyond, but one really rude server and then manager, soured our families meal- they literally argued w us lol over a lack of communication between their own staff giving us conflicting info on alternative milk options for the coffee. It was pretty dumb. For that reason, we're over dukes and will just go to the many other, comparable breakfast and brunch, lunch and dinner spots. Still giving 5 stars bc the hotel is 5 stars. Love the laundry self serve area, too. The location and views are unbeatable , but I wish they'd do something about that pool- find a way to reconfigure or expand it and make it a larger area either build up or something, it's just so small for how many rooms there are and there are those of us who hate a lot of sun lol- need way more shaded options around the pool. read more

In the past, we've not been all that impressed with the hotel rooms on our stays at various hotels on Waikiki - but we've never stayed here before. We've been coming for about 20 years and we've stayed multiple times at the Royal Hawaiian, the Moana Surfrider and Sheraton Princess Kaiulani - and we've enjoyed the stays . . . but the rooms themselves are just not up to snuff. Poorly designed spaces, weird temperature controls, odd housekeeping, ancient funk in need of updating . . . there might be a great common area, but the (quite expensive!) rooms where we've stayed aren't as nice as a business hotel in flyover country. We've always kind of wondered about the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort (not a brand name we recognized, so we were hesitant to stay here) - we have been here for food and drinks since we started visiting the area, but only just now got around to biting the bullet and trying it out as a place to stay. Wow, are we glad that we did. Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort had none of the issues of the other hotels - it wasn't inexpensive (of course; look where it's located), but it hit the mark for us. Great and comfy space in our ocean-view balcony room - not fancy or updated, but not dated or creepy. Smashing housekeeping service (bell desk and front desk folks were great, too) with lightning-fast room cleanings and not a thing less than perfect ever. Great amenities Great location. The bed was a comfortably firm foundation BUT had a thick, soft pillowtopper that wasn't great for my back; also, the room could have used more bedding (a supplemental comforter) in this cooler season. No robes or slippers were provided. We're not talking about anything like a fancy place in Vegas with multiple marble bathrooms, but the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort gave us our best stay in all of our trips to Waikiki. (And I understand they're planning an update in 2025.) We plan to return. read more

I loved my stay here! I got my travel package through Costco and had soo many options to choose from but I am so glad I got to experience this place! They are going through renovations and some places like lobby and elevator are visibly under construction but they have all their amenities available. You get refillable water bottles and complimentary sunscreen in the pool area! I loved it, its smells so good like rosemary. Having Dukes in the lobby was super convenient. I got some to go boxes and took food upstairs for my kids. We also needed medicine. Grabbed some items from abc store also in the lobby! The staff were all so kind and attentive! I was able to pay a bit more for a late check out. So worth it! Waikiki has my heart and outrigger should made it so much more special! I hope to be bs k very soon! read more

I made a reservation on March 1st for an oceanfront room on July 4th weekend. To my utmost shock, I received a call that the hotel no longer has enough oceanfront rooms due to construction. Poor execution and oversight of a project by both Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort and the Contractor. The website also misleads its guests by not being upfront about a lack of rooms and probably the noise. A copy and paste apology is an easy way out of true accountability or a real solution. I travel frequently for work and have stayed in a lot of hotels--this was easily one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. The biggest issue was the complete lack of transparency around the major construction happening on-site. This isn't light renovation--it's disruptive, loud, and impacts everything. There's no clear front entrance, and you're awkwardly redirected down the block to enter through a temporary access point. The "lobby" is basically a construction zone, and I checked in with jackhammering going on nearby. Lines were long, disorganized, and the whole process felt chaotic from the start. My room (908, stayed March 18-22) was extremely outdated and had a strong mildew smell that never went away. It felt damp and unhealthy, and I genuinely started feeling sick within a day of being there. It did not feel clean or properly maintained. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. No clear communication, no direction, and no real acknowledgment of the conditions guests were dealing with--construction noise, dust, odors, and confusion throughout the property. Parking was another issue--$60 per day for a lot that didn't feel secure at all. My vehicle was scratched while parked, which added even more frustration. To make matters worse, I was charged additional "resort fees" after I had already left. These were not clearly communicated upfront, and calling this property a "resort" in its current condition is honestly misleading. My company has historically used Outrigger properties for our guests, but after this experience, we will not be using them again. This stay reflected poorly on us as well, and that's not something we can risk. Until the construction is complete and the property is brought up to a true resort standard--with transparency to guests--I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere. read more

Excellent hotel voyager lounge for daily breakfast and happy hour! The setting is absolutely ideal on the deck right above the beach. You have a gorgeous view of sunrise over Diamond Head for breakfast. It was so relaxing to sit and watch the waves with a nice breeze through the palm trees. The daily selections were also superb. Lots of fresh pineapple and fruit, coffee, juice, toast and bagels, hot and cold cereal, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, waffles, and more. For happy hour, food selections varied with cheese and fruit, dumplings, salad, fried egg rolls, and a bunch of meat options I don't eat. The POG juice was also such a treat. read more

I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but it's CROWDED. Maybe it was because I was here for Christmas, but man oh man. ABC store within the building is very convenient for incidentals, however, extremely pricey! Umbrella and two lounge chair rentals $100 per day, but free beach towels are available. Music from Dukes downstairs plays until midnight and it gives a very Vegas on the beach vibe. The good: location. Right on the beach and in the middle of it all. You have access to pretty much anything within walking distance. The beach was clean and beautiful. The not so good: place is dated. Very very dated. The elevators have a security feature built in so that rando's off the street can't get to the floors but this makes wait times for the elevators ridiculously insane and very annoying. Our room was on the street side and even though we were on the 8th floor we could hear music blaring all night every night. Not exactly what we were hoping for on our Hawaiian vacation. We opted to not dine in so I can't speak to that although the deli near the pool had fantastic fresh sandwiches. The gym on the 16th floor although small was equipped nicely. This is a very touristy spot. If you want a party scene then this might be for you. If you're looking for something more laid back then look elsewhere. read more

The best thing about the hotel is its location on the beach and Duke's!!! Highly recommend NOT purchasing a club level room for the benefit of Voyager 47 lounge. The food is not very good, very limited on drinks, and definitely not worth the upgrade price. They tried to charge me $85 to add one child. That would've been a complete waste of money, especially since they obviously cannot drink any alcohol. $85 for breakfast that I've had better at a Hampton Inn and hors d'oeuvres/appetizers in the evening that are basically frozen tempura shrimp that are heated up in a air fryer. The hotel way over values their club level! There are many more better options along the beach. The customer service is lacking as well at the front desk. We had major issues finding parking due to the festival that was going on the street and the street was closed in front of the hotel....It is not the hotel's fault but no communication of where to park Offsite and then wanting to charge us for it was ridiculous. They did comp the parking, but it was a bit of a battle to deal with them. The rooms themselves are pretty old and small. The hotel is definitely dated. But it has great choices of restaurants located on the hotel and the location to all the shops and restaurants very close by. read more

We are mid-stay at the wonderful Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. The location is perfect and the ocean views are breathtaking. From the first moment at the Valet station through check-in and beyond the personal service and attention to detail is un-matched. Dukes restaurant is an exciting place to eat with live entertainment. So much to see and do. The room was immaculately clean and inviting albeit somewhat dated. the balcony was awesome with amazing view of the ocean. Room is cleaned, beds are made and fresh towels provided every day... a lost art in most every resort hotel it seems these days. The entire staff here is focused on you and go out of their way to make sure you are completely satisfied, a testament to excellent management no doubt. The pool is small and seating around the pool can fill up quickly but there are lots of other areas immediately adjacent to the pool that actually offer some shade. You get a plastic card upon checking in which entitles you to 2 Beach towels. Return the towels at the end of the day and you get your card back to use again the next day. A wrist band in addition to a room key card gives you access to the elevators and room. The room does have a safe as well as a Keurig machine with coffee and tea provided. There is also a small refrigerator in the bathroom. The TV was a decent size. The Resort aims to retain its classic look and roots to Waikiki. We're not even halfway through our 8-day stay but already looking forward to a return visit! read more

So I have to start out by saying that we are back in Hawaii as of this week, this time. We came in September versus coming in October, and we are currently staying at another resort. Unlike the past 2 years, where we have stayed at the Outrigger, and we went to Duke's tonight for our 20th wedding anniversary. And we had reservations, the food was very good. David, the waiter was excellent, but I have to say. The Outrigger hotel has changed tremendously. Over the last year, it has brought in people off the beach that are sitting in the lounge area of the lobby of Dukes in thongs. And bikini tops hanging out, and there are numerous women that should not be wearing that kind of bathing suits in an establishment that is set for dinner. We sat across in the lobby, waiting for our table from a couple, that had barely any clothes on, and it was quite a turn-off. I think that over the past year, since we've been here, the Outrigger has become a party type hotel. We sat at our table and the music was so loud, We couldn't even hear each other talking. I think the Outrigger has a lot of work to do. They still have that 6 / 6 foot pool, that is very tiny. And I think that they need to get some type of security. There's a lot of people coming off the beach that aren't even staying at the Outrigger that are way out of control way out of hand, and it's quite a turn-off. Not my idea of an ideal vacation. Wanting to relax and enjoy and have some peace and quiet, and that's why we have chosen to go somewhere else this year. If you're into loud music, dancing, constant partying, drinking, women wearing questionable clothes, and you don't want peace and quiet and you love the loud noise and you love the crowds and you love to drink, this is the place for you, but I will never ever come back to the Outrigger. Unfortunately, I will not come back to Dukes, in Waikiki. I will go to the Dukes in La Jolla, California. Where they we had a great time, it was beautiful. It was very peaceful, it was relaxing there. The Outrigger has no control, no security. They don't have any class. They just let anybody off the street into the hotel and to me, that is a major turn-off. Beware of this place as it is a party hotel with a pool the size of a kiddie pool. read more

A wonderful hotel for a staycation or to recommend for visitors. I chose it cuz we were going to Blue Note and I knew the valet parking would be convenient although it's $45 a day with in/out privileges. I chose a club room which gave you access to a special elevator that takes you directly up to floors 14,15 & 16. You get afternoon pupus from 4:30-6:30 p.m. In the morning your complete breakfast is self service in the club lounge. I was surprised how many children are here. The hot water is instant for the tap and shower. The decor is simple with dark wood and photos of Waikiki-ish scenes. Thirsty white towels. Why not 5 stars? Maybe I'm too particular but I always look for a laundry bag in the closet for used clothes, nada. There is no safety bar in the shower and the toilet seat is very low. The beds are high if you're not at least 5 feet tall. The sheets were not soft but maybe they are new? We were on the 15 th floor and the railing has no safety for little kids. Drops straight down. But the partial ocean view upgrade for a kamaaina was well and gratefully appreciated. Condition of the room, lobby and definitely the Voyager Club Lounge is well maintained. Would I stay here again? We stayed at Outrigger Waikiki Beach every time we've in Waikiki. This would be our 5th. We loved it for its location even though the rooms are outdated. We're very disappointed this time. No incentive for returning guests. We paid for partial ocean view and we got a room with a half size bath tub. Requested a king bed and a sofa bed but our request was not even considered. This will be our last stay. Next year we'll be staying elsewhere. There are so many other hotels in Waikiki. read more

About a week prior to my stay, I was emailed by the resort and asked if I wished for any upgrades. It said I would pay for upgrade if they could accommodate it and to inquire once checking in. When I inquired at check-in she did not know what I was referring to and said that everything was booked. I thought the email meant they would put some effort into it all week, but no. Staff was rude or obviously fake-nice, not at all sincere. The room we checked into was next to a neighbor building's A/C unit that had severe problems and made a constant shrieking noise. I have health issues already and to hear that shrieking for the next 7 nights was unreasonable. I requested to be moved and was told I would be moved up a few floors and on the other side of the building. This did not happen. We were majorly downgraded and went down 4 floors. The new room smelled extremely stale and totally unlike the first room we had. It smelled musty, stagnant, and almost a cigar-like. We had to open the balcony door to let it air out and eventually bought an air refresher spray, which helped. The only redeeming part was that the "partial view" of the ocean was huge and beautiful. The coffee was not replenished after the cleaning on the first day. I called to Guest Services at 7:30am and was told someone would bring some up. None came and I had to call again at 9:30a for a housekeeper to run some up. Also had to ask why our WiFI did not work and was given an access code word, that I had to log into everyday. We ate at Hula Grill and Duke's which were both nice. Great ocean-front seating at Hula Grill but it was busy so their service was slow. Dukes was fun but loud. They are open until midnight every day. So they play music all day and night until midnight EVERYDAY. Very annoying to have to hear it from the room every night in addition to the street entertainment that's loud until 10p. The pool was fine but a jacuzzi would be better. We rented some chairs with an umbrella on the beach, which was amazing, The Activities desk rep was super helpful & knowledgeable. We booked 4 activities (turtle snorkel, helicopter tour, Majestic island tour, and Pearl Harbor). The tours were the best part of the trip. While we really enjoyed our time away from the hotel, the front desk staff really made our trip salty. They weren't very friendly and didn't acknowledge that we stayed 8 days ($$). They were rude, did not explain anything about the resort, and had zero interest in making our experience rememberable. For us, this vacation is rare and it's a big deal. Please put in some effort to convince us that you care. Will definitely stay somewhere else in future. read more

We recently became Platinum Club Members, and I only wish we had done it sooner! Working with Ricky, the Membership Director, has been nothing short of incredible. His one-on-one service, attentiveness, responsiveness, and communication go above and beyond anything we've ever experienced. He truly makes every trip easier and more enjoyable. The pool staff are another highlight of our stays. Benjamin and Peter are always a pleasure to see each day -- friendly, respectful, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with. Their warm hospitality always makes us feel welcomed and appreciated. We also absolutely love spending time at the Voyager Club. Fio, Gigi, Sterling, Kevin, and the rest of the amazing team always greet us like family. They remember us each visit, catch up on life updates, and even celebrate holidays with us -- it truly feels like coming home. Another must-mention is Pai Deli -- one of our daily go-to spots! Ivy, Andrew, Novia, Sandra, and Kiki are some of the most passionate and dedicated people we've ever met. Their friendliness and love for what they do shines through in everything they prepare. Their food is so delicious that we visit them every day -- and we always recommend Pai Deli to other guests as a "must-try." In summary, Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort will always be our second home. DONT STAY HERE! Man oh man this place really messed up the whole trip. First off i spent close to 30k for 6 rooms and flights more than half was for the rooms basically. First off 3 out of the 6 rooms was leaking families clothes got wet and still the hotel did nothing not even move then to another room. We dealt with 6 days of leaking yet nothing. The manager was definitely not helpful very fake and tried everything she can to make it okay. We dealt with issue and then bam we go to our Valet car and they crashed it as well... Im definitely not going to let this go they wouldn't even compensate us anything back and even offer anything. Im going to make sure 100% this doesn't just get forgotten and i definitely would not recommend this hotel they cannot handle when its packed and dont understand what customer service means it's surprising honestly. read more

I'm in room 232, and paying over $500 US per night. Woken EVERY night at 4am by a garbage truck that takes about an hour to empty large bins. Asked for a room change and was offered an even worse room opposite the lifts, obviously the "spare" room that every hotel has. Staff unhelpful, took about 20 minutes to get a key to look in the other room, completely inflexible about any other options. Don't stay here. read more

This place is a tossup....It is pricey and then they charge you $50 a person for resort fees, but don't know what that covers. If you have a car, you have to pay $50 a day to keep your vehicle there and valet only. They do have valet all day and night long, sometimes they are pretty quick. The hotel room was pretty clean. There is a tv, mini fridge, and depending on what room you get... We had 2 queen beds and a oull out couch. the pullout couch was wayyyy more comfortable than the beds. So I didn't get much sleep because they are very uncomfortable. Inside the hotel, they have a few little shops and restaurants. The restaurants dont have a big selection on teir menu. My mom HAD to have the Hula Pie at Dukes, but to me it just tasted like expensive vanilla ice cream. You can walk all the way through the hotel because it is open. There is a pool but I never saw anyone use it because the because is 5 steps away from the pool. If you need extra tp, or need a microwave, they have to send someone to bring it up. read more

My stay at the Outrigger was extremely disappointing. I've stayed in multiple "4-star hotels" before and have had better experiences at the Best Western than this. First, I was given a room on the first floor. Which, I checked in late and had a very nice Kamaʻāina rate, so I understand that there were no other rooms available during the Outrigger canoe regatta. But, it just got worse. The mattress in room 134 was horrible. It was so uncomfortable and I was sinking into the middle. I think I felt one of the springs before I decided to just hug one of the sides of the bed instead and try not to slide into the middle. The sheets felt like paper. What was the thread count of those sheets- I'd love to know. The generator right outside my window was very loud, as was the air conditioning. At check out, I was charged $30 for "Valet." There was no availability of the valet on any of the three days I stayed at the property. I was told to park at the Waikiki parking garage 0.3 miles away- but when I went there, the garage was full. I went all the way up to the 10th floor with no parking spots. Then, I had to wait 43 minutes to EXIT the parking garage, and I was charged money for my "parking" by the garage - which the hotel was not able to reimburse me for. They said I need to park out their sister Outrigger property 0.6 miles away- where I had to walk with all my bags to the hotel. The LEAST they could do would be to validate my parking. Then when I was checking out, Auntie told me I needed to pay $30 for "Valet." I said, "I didn't use valet, I had to park at the garage." She said "Yes, that's valet. $30." Isn't valet where someone parks your car for you???? That was the last straw. I couldn't wait to get off of this property and I will NEVER be coming back. Housekeeping, maintenance, and the concierge were the only good things about this property. I live in Kailua and was so excited to book this nice staycation - I should've just stayed my ass at home instead. I won't be back. read more
