DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Feels somewhat like a discriminating policy!! He only accepts new patients…read moreif the mom is "still expecting." That means if you already have a child--even just one, like me & want to switch to a closer doctor, HE WON'T TAKE YOU. Staff says he's unable to take new patients because he's "full"... however he would take me if my son was unborn? Full-of-bologna. What happens to families who relocate? Or are seeking better/closer care? EVERY CHILD DESERVES ACCESS TO CARE, NO MATTER WHEN THEY WERE BORN. His policy makes it really hard for parents who need care now. This tells me that some families are less worthy of care based on timing, NOT NEED. This kind of policy (which I've never heard of) may help manage his schedule & maybe he's looking out only for his own convenience, but it feels unfair to families who aren't expecting but still need support. They won't even give you a chance, they don't care, so don't bother calling.

I had scheduled an appt for a consult and my baby was born before I could meet Dr. Taniguchi. He came to meet me in the hospital and established care at 1.5 days old. That was over 14 years ago. I have two boys now and they are both under Dr. Taniguchi's care. We live in town and his practice is in Aiea, I would not change it for anything. He is very responsive, accommodating, understanding and an amazing doctor/co-parent to my boys.

I was expecting my second child and were very unhappy with our pediatrician at the time. We were…read morereferred to CMA by my sister, whose kids had been going to Dr. Yano for years and she always spoke very well of the practice. At the time, the only doctor available was Dr. Morita, who we loved instantly. It's been 7 years and she has been so wonderful with our children, very patient, and she relates well to the little ones. Our oldest is autistic and struggles with going to the doctor but she's always so easy-going with him, is super flexible with his comfort levels, is always on top of where he is at with his autism services, and offers advice and referrals whenever needed. Our little one (4) loves going to see "Dr. Dorita" and when we drive by the building, he shouts "my doctor's office". Dr. Morita's assistant, Daniel, has also been amazing, he's always so good with the kids and very patient and calm when my son freaks out about shots. He's usually there as soon as we walk in and will just wave us into the room. We have never had to wait more than a minute or two, which is a relief when you have three kids who won't sit still. I haven't really had to deal with the front desk staff, usually we just talk to Daniel or Dr. Morita, so I can't speak much to that area of the practice. We also really like that there is always a doctor available if Dr. Morita is out. The other two doctor's we've seen there have been really nice and equally as patient with our kiddos. We're moving out of state and are going to miss Dr. Morita and Daniel very much! We highly recommend you take your kiddos here, they've been so wonderful to our family!

12-23-2025 Today I had the pleasure of an office visit with Kylie Tanaka, PA and Mely her Med…read moreassistant. This is the first time I could not get an appointment with my regular doctor. Since it was a pre-op clearance, Mely performed an EKG with a portable device she could wheel into the examination room. Next Kylie, PA actually looked into my ears, mouth and felt my stomach which my doctor has never done. She went over my blood pressure, temperature and EKG readings and told me which meds to stop taking one week prior. She sent me down to the lab for blood and urine tests after. I was happy and impressed that both ladies were both kind, thorough and very pretty plus easy to talk to. I was told if I don't get a call, that's good news and I'm cleared for surgery.

This was my first visit to Straub Urgent Care, Kapolei. I am so happy I chose this site. I waited…read moreabout 1 hour to be seen, among a packed room waiting for urgent care. Receptionists were patient and explained all the paperwork needed. I was screened by Mille, who was very professional and friendly. She asked about my symptoms and explained the test she would perform. I returned 40 min later as instructed for the test results. Dr. Gomez then spoke to me about my test results and my choices for medication or wait to see if I get better with the over the counter medications I was already taking. She was very kind, professional, and ensured my lungs were clear of congestion. She spoke in detail about my tests and ensured I didn't have any questions. she wrote a note for me to give to my employer as I would be out sick for 5 days. I appreciate her thinking about that as I may have forgotten to ask as I had a terrible headache. thank you to Dr Gomez, the nurse Dawn, and Mille for my care today what a wonderful team. also the waiting room was large enough so people were not in close proximity to each other. there were masks available and plenty of kleenex and hand sanitizer.

I rarely leave reviews like this, which makes this even more disappointing to write…read more Dr. Arakawa has been our children's doctor for the last 9 years, and he is truly exceptional. Both of my daughters love him. He is intelligent, compassionate, patient, thorough, and has the kind of bedside manner that makes families feel safe and cared for. We have trusted him for nearly a decade and have recommended countless people to this practice because of the incredible care HE provides. Which is exactly why the behavior from his office staff today was so shocking and infuriating. I received a phone call threatening collections over a bill that I had ALREADY communicated multiple times would be paid at our next appointment in just a few weeks. Not ignored. Not refused. Communicated. Yet instead of being treated like a loyal, long-term patient and human being, I was treated like a problem. What made it even worse was the complete lack of compassion, accountability, and professionalism from the office manager. The office blamed the billing company. The billing company stated the office makes the decision. Back and forth, finger pointing, excuses, while speaking to patients with absolutely zero empathy. Healthcare offices need to remember that patients are not account numbers. We are families. We are people who have supported your practice for YEARS. People who trusted you enough to recommend friends, family, and loved ones into your care. To be spoken to in a cold, dismissive, and threatening manner over a balance that was already being handled felt incredibly disrespectful and honestly dehumanizing. Dr. Arakawa deserves a staff that reflects the kindness, professionalism, and humanity that he shows his patients every single day, because right now the front office experience is damaging the reputation of an otherwise amazing doctor.

100% Discriminated at Wee Pediatric!!…read more I was looking for a new PCP for my granddaughters. I called Wee Pediatric, they were accepting new patients, schedule them for their appointments but I needed to change their PCP on the medical card. They were foster kids but now I have legal guardianship on my granddaughters. The only one can change their PCP is the social worker. When the social worker called to change thePCP, and Wee Pediatric realize my grandkids were foster kids, they were denied to be a patient there. The office manager exact words were, "WE DON'T TAKE FOSTER KIDS" I blew up, I ask the manager, I want it in writing why your office not accepting my grandkids. I kept on asking her to put it in writing she was ignoring my request, finally she said ok, we will considered taking your grandkids. I was trying my best not to be a "Karen" Long story short, I decided not to have my granddaughters go there. I don't want them to be where they not wanted. SHAME ON WEE PEDIATRIC OFFICE AND STAFF!
