We were driving on the way home from Blue Mountain and decided to stop in Barrie for lunch. Found this Vietnamese restaurant with pretty good reviews. Ambiance: A bit worn out with leather seat peeling so it hurts when you sit with shorts on. It's a bit small so it was hard to accommodate 12 people together. We had to split up. Service: Very accommodating. They moved some tables for us to be closer to our kids and when we called ahead of time they saved us 3 small tables. Food came very fast. Food: Very authentic. Restaurant was owned by a Vietnamese family so you know the food will be authentic. We ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls to start, fresh and crispy. Very flavourful and they used the rice paper for the spring rolls which is the authentic way to make it. We also got the pork and shrimp fresh rolls with peanut sauce so good and fresh. For the mains we got the pho with rare beef, Bun bo hue with spicy beef noodles, grilled pork with spring roll and vermicelli. Also got the grilled pork chop and chicken with rice.. Price is very reasonable and portions are a good size. Will definitely come back!! read more

The wait to be seated -- expected. But after being seated, and eating, I don't know why this place was so busy. A LOT of takeout orders. I get why. The food was great, the service not so much. Saw the waitress once, at ordering. And then again at serving. And that why is it. No fill ups on the tea, no water whatsoever, no napkins either. Service was actually pretty terrible. We ordered cold wraps, both the beef and the pork and shrimp were great. The bún bò huế was spicy but good. And my wife enjoyed the pad Thai but it needed salt. Season your food guys! Or at least put some salt on the table. I can't stress this enough, the service was so bad. Non-existent even. And the cleanliness of the place... Don't even get me started. Good spot. Service was quick, quality of food very good. It was busy. And still the restaurant made sure it took care of its customers. Not too sure about the music vibe, but as with some Asian places, I just may not be inline with what they do. The cold rolls were great! The main, a spicy soup could have perhaps been missing something that balanced it to make it beyond excellent. I would definitely come here again. read more

We made a pit stop here after seeing a review about their broth being good! We tried the rare beef Pho, and fresh spring rolls with pork and shrimp. I was quite pleased with the quality and depth of flavor of the broth; good enough to have on its own without additional sauces! The fresh spring rolls were really good too, with fresh ingredients and a nice peanut sauce. They also serve hot Jasmine tea which was so refreshing to start off with. As a side note, I noticed that they didn't have banh mi's on their menu, which was a bit surprising. Aside from that, this restaurant is promising, and I would like to try more items on their menu next time! read more

Prices not bad, customer service so-so, quality of food good in some parts. M'lady and I decided to go out to a restaurant, and I decided to try this venue because I had driven by it, and I found its name amusing. The menus looked nice and fancy, and over-all I found the vibe of the venue to be mostly pleasant (I did notice some finger-prints on the windows, but I chalked it up to being a "kid friendly venue"). We ordered 2 appetizers, I ordered a soup, and m'lady ordered a plated dish. My soup ended up having a piece of plastic in it, and when I mentioned it to the staff, the cashier could not understand me, so she asked the other girl working there for help. The other girl apologized, mentioned the issue to the cook in the back, and asked the girl at the cash to not charge me for it. Also while we dined in, our dishes were not taken away while we were eating on a regular basis, so we had to navigate around our empty dishes throughout our meal. Over-all, the quality of the food was very decent, although m'lady found one of the appetizers we shared to be a bit bland. I might come back for take-out to this venue, but I don't see me coming back for a sit-down meal to this venue, assuming that the piece of plastic in my soup was a one-off. read more

My friends and I came here after a long and exhausting day snowboarding at Snow Valley. I'm a huge fan of pho and I was super happy with my dish! I ordered the pho special (shrimp, rare beef, chicken, beef balls) and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The pho was amazing! The broth was served super hot and it was probably one of the best pho meals I've ever had. My friends ordered pad thai, spring rolls, vermicelli and pho and they were all very impressed with the quality. The service here was also great and the employees were happy to provide us a take out cup for our Vietnamese iced coffee. We will definitely be back! read more

We tried this restaurant for takeaway bun (vermicelli noodle) for dinner last night; one beef and one pork...very good portions, fresh and tasty. As I waited I watched plates full of plump shrimp and calamari drift by...made my mouth water. The staff was far more pleasant than other similar restaurants in town and happy to answer my many questions as I waited for my order. Can't wait to try their pho soup! read more

The spring rolls and calamari were outstanding. Pho soup was made to perfection!!! Excellent service and above all super clean. This was one of the best pho restaurants I've been to. This gem resides in Barrie's north end. We loved it and would definitely return. read more
