From the beginning it was a very frustrating experience with them. Their process wasn't explained up front. If it had, I would have gone somewhere else. A month after I hired them I got a text asking where's the required documents were. No one asked me for documents. Then I'd upload documents or email them and they'd say they hadn't been received. After giving all my information and taking the required course they told me I have to file chapter 13 due to having assets. They wanted me to sell my newer car. I can't do that. I agreed to file. I signed the contract in good faith. I was not told that I would have to send in all new Information and take the credit counseling course all over. They strung me along for another 3 months. This company is being sanctioned and has terrible reviews. I just found out that I can do my bankruptcy through the court and bypass using a lawyer. I am extremely unhappy. I highly recommend Wajda Law Group. The process was smooth for me. I read some negative reviews which made me nervous, but what I found were individuals who either began paying creditors, (which I was told not to do and didn't) or did not get the required documents to the lawyers by deadlines. Also, you may need to leave a message at times, but they always called me back. They answered my questions, followed up and were nothing but courteous. My advice is to keep your bank records and other documents in order because you do need to update as you go along. The retainer fee was affordable as I was able to make payments. For the past 1+years I have been collecting info, uploading info, finding all the docs needed, etc. to get my bankruptcy case going. I spent $1800 and countless hours of my time to get everything rolling only to now be told that I have too much equity in my house and make too much to file. Why wasn't this discussed at the start? Why was not only my time and money but also your time and money wasted? I called to get a refund since I got nothing out of this whole experience and was basically told too bad and that out of the 1800 I could only get 300 back. This is absolutely disgusting that your company is out here basically stealing money off of people already struggling. Now I have multiple cards in collections and a few court cases against me and literally nothing I can do about any of them. You did nothing but make me further in the hole that I now have to dig myself out of. I paid these people off in 2021, to file a bankruptcy, went through giving documents and resending documents twice. Now we are in 2025 they have not filed, or even called me to update me or even apologize. I finally called today and was told, of the 1700 dollars I paid them I could get back 300 and some change. I asked why, and was told they were being paid for the paperwork they had done minus filing. So, you want to be paid for doing the legwork but not for the services I paid for, then they tried to rush me into acknowledging an emailed cancellation notice to get less than a third of what I paid for not doing what the Wajda Law Group was paid to perform. Extremely Disappointing Experience - Waste of Time and Unprofessional Behavior I am extremely disappointed with the experience I had during what was advertised as a free consultation. I spent nearly an hour providing all of my financial information to your intake representative, Latoya. However, when I finally spoke with the attorney named Nicholas Wajda he flatly told me he wasn't going to review my budget at all...not even a glance. He then dismissively stated, "We don't work for free." If that's the case, why even offer a "free consultation" if no real review or guidance is provided? I did not ask anyone to work for free--I expected a fair and respectful conversation, especially after giving so much personal information and time upfront. What's worse is the disrespectful tone and the implication that my time meant nothing. I can earn more money, but I can't get back my time. The entire experience felt like a bait-and-switch and left me feeling devalued and disrespected. I have heard too often that Black clients are treated differently or unfairly in situations like this--and unfortunately, my experience today felt like confirmation of that. I have never been late on a payment in my entire life, yet I was treated with disdain by someone I might have had to pay to represent me. This was unprofessional, unacceptable, and frankly gross. 5 stars! I was walked thru each step of my bankruptcy process, either by Mr. Wajda or one of his associates. Each person treated me with respect and answered all my questions from start to finish. Reasonably priced, was able to make payments. I was able to "appear" in court via zoom, which I was represented by his associate, it was quick and I was only asked a few basic questions. My last payment made on payment plan was march 17th. I started all this july of last year. This place is a total scam. My husband and I tried to do our bankruptcy through them, and they were happy to take our money, but I can not get a response to emails, I call and they put me on hold for a long time and then it disconnects. We decided to get a refund, and they would only refund the $380 filing fee, and the rest of the $2,000 they kept for themselves, while doing nothing for our case. Chapter 7 bankruptcy Update as of 10/05 it is almost a year I've started the process.. I received a call after my last review.. and was assured that the prior representation is not how the company runs nor their standards. It's been a year I've been made to take a class 2 times which is a cost to the client of its been over 6 months. I've been told several different things were in place and was required to send and resend the same documents to no avail I spoke with several people no one was on the same page or knew what was next when I finally made it to the Filing clerk he was very rude and chose to tell me how my life is ran. Then I was told they are doing my paperwork to file.. now they don't answer my calls nor respond to my email but I have paid $1700. They make you do all the leg work Mailing out your notices with your own money and still don't file. This is unacceptable. This is my fault because the flags were set in place and I tried to believe in second chance But I really had no chance Poor Customer Service representative cut me off rudely to answer what she assumed I wanted to know.. without properly listening she assumed she could read my mind through the phone..- All because I wanted to ask the attorney that gave me the consultation a few more questions.. I retained this law firm (or so I thought) to handle my bankruptcy in Nov 2022. The reason I went with them instead of a local agency is because they stated they aggressively go after debt collectors who harass while in the bankruptcy process. This agency is 2 fold. You have Nicks group and Recovery Law that work together. Recovery Law is terrible. I was eligible to claim bankruptcy Jan of 2023. I am extremely prompt with documents. The issue is you dont know what documents you need until they schedule meeting with them. The meetings are drug out for months with no end in sight. Additionally they do not go after creditors. For the past 3 months I have sent them creditor harassment and nothing has been done. Now my credit union is illegally using cross collateralization to refuse payment for my vehicle. The car is up to date on payments. Recovery Law did send a cease letter to my bank. The bank laughed in their face because they know Recovery wont do anything. So now I am facing loosing my car that is paid up because Recovery isnt filing like they are suppose to be. I have left countless messages, no one has returned my calls. My paperwork should of been done weeks ago yet it has not been filed. Do not use this group they are horrible. And you cannot fire then they keep part of your money, They take advantage of poor people and should be ashamed. read more

I was told to paid the amount of $350 to start my credit report a paperwork. They told me the cost was $1813 for filling something that has not been done. All I wanted to know was how much was going to be my payment before filling. I only spoke to the lawyer twice for 5 minutes. I was super happy with Wajda Law. Upon consultation, I was explain the entire process of filing for bankruptcy and what to expect. I was also given an option to make payments that I ended up spreading over the course of a year until I was ready to file. This entire process was dealt with over the phone or through emails. It was very streamlined and not at all confusing. The attorney I dealt with was Lyndsey Kaiser and she was not only super helpful and informative but non judging. Any information you may need and all of the classes you have to take are supplied to you via email. And once you have to attend the final hearing, all of the information will be sent. The hearing that I attended was done over the phone and over within 45 minutes. I expected filing for bankruptcy would be excruciating, but was actually a very easy and only slightly stressful. This law firm is absolute garbage. I employed this company to file a chapter 7 on my behalf back in 2021. I paid all the fees, took all the required classes and printed and mailed back every form required of me. I thought this process was over, I never received any follow-up instructions via email or phone call telling me otherwise. I received a call yesterday from a debt collector saying that I still owe money. I reached out to the company today, and they tried to tell me it was lack of communication on my behalf and my chapter 7 was never filed because I didn't return the forms required which is a blatant lie. When I asked the so-called attorney why I was never contacted he informed me it must have been my lack of reaching out to them. He then tried to sell me on using their company again to file for chapter 7 and telling me that I would owe the full amount that I had already paid them back in 2021. He told me that he would have to start the process all over again and that I was basically shit out of luck because I never followed through. I'm not an influencer or even a yelper, I hope by writing this I can help save people in the future from using this corrupt company. read more
