Their product is very good, their service is not, so much that I was finally compelled to write a warning to other potential buyers. As I've seen in other reviews, once they are paid and product is installed, they ghost you. It's near impossible to get any response regarding repairs. I've had numerous sunken spots, not near irrigation, that I can't get anyone to fix. I have young children that have tripped in the sunken spots, so now I have them blocked off until I can fix the spots myself. Service and communication rank high on how I choose a company to work with, and I was fooled by this one. Used car salesman approach - promise everything, deliver little. For these reasons, I do not and will NEVER recommend using Wakasa for your turf install. read more

I really appreciate and support local business, and Wakasa is a perfect example. I solicited multiple companies for quotes for our backyard, and Wakasa responded quickly. Michael who came out to give the quote was professional and knowledgeable. Sample wise, I will say Synlawn had nicer samples and overall nicer quality turf, but their quote was astronomically higher than Wakasa. I had my heart dead set on a sample of Synlawn turf in the St. Augustine style and Michael went out of his way to special order it for me from the company that makes it. I am sure they had to buy it at a markup but even then the quote was cheaper than Synlawn. They charged me only for the square footage of turf that they installed, whereas Synlawn charged me for the wasted leftover turf. Not only that, they came with a 4 man team whereas Synlawn had me wait 2 weeks for a 2 man team. Frank and his team came 2 days after I paid my deposit and finished my 323sq ft job from 9a-3p. I am thrilled. The turf is gorgeous and makes our backyard look infinitely bigger. It is soft and luxurious and my daughter will love playing on it. We hired Wakasa to lay artificial turf in our back yard, after bidding the job out to multiple vendors. Theirs was the quickest and most competitive bid so I gave them the business. Today they came to "start work" on our back yard. In fact a big team came and completed the whole job in just a few hours. Our yard looks awesome and despite being difficult to access (we live in a new house in Montrose with very limited access to the back yard) they cleaned up after themselves so you'd never even know they were there. So I had the turf installed in 2020 and the installation was great no issues. The issues started when I tried to have them come out for some warranty work before the 12 month warranty was up, Called several times and was always told that someone would call me to schedule, never happened. So I decided to let it go, however, we had some work done recently that involved a trench in my yard and pulling back one side of the turf. I again called a couple times to coordinate them coming out to cut and replace that as well as work on smoothing out the other part of my yard. It took two weeks to get an email from their Operations person about it, first thing he wanted to make clear was that I was not under warranty ha. I replied no problem I just need this scheduled, Silence. I have now called and emailed their office several times over the last two weeks with promises that someone will call and someone will get out here asap to give me an estimate. Very frustrating. I know it is not a complete new job so it may not be important to them but when they tell you how great their service is and they will do warranty work etc with no follow through or communication, that is bad business. I chose them over another company based on all of their service promise and work and even got my neighbor to use them. Bottom line they do a good job, but do not expect anything else from them afterward. read more

If your Gona install turf go with these guys, they know what they are doing clearly have it down to a science. Very responsive, they have a pre team you work with and post team after install, so if you ever need a fix or warranty work they are there to help. They won't install something that is not proper. We just had artificial turf laid by Wakasa. They were quick to respond with a quote and reasonably priced. They turfed our front yard and made a dog run down the side of our house. All the work was completed within 5 days of receiving a contract. They completed the work quickly and were great about tidying up after themselves. We really love our new yard. read more

Ok. I'm not easily impressed by much but... here I am. First of all, the sales is great - I had Alan. They are not pushy at all. They are SO honest that they don't care if it ends up losing them a sale. I had three companies quote me and NO one mentioned the potential for my grass to basically melt because of the windows. They mentioned it. I ended up taking the risk but at least I know ahead of time and it was my decision to make. I've been burned by contractors before and I appreciated their honesty. Second, the people that actually installed the grass were on time, professional, and went above and beyond. There was a gate that needed to be adjusted to accommodate the turf and they did it and did a really good job and didn't even charge me. The scheduling was easy and efficient. Just an overall great experience which I feel like is rare in this business. I would honestly look no further. Their prices are very competitive as well! read more

We were extremely happy with the results and would recommend installing artificial turf. We attempted to grow a lawn in an area that didn't get much sun during the day and that grass died. We contacted Wakasa and he and his wife came over, took pictures, and created some renderings in their software and proposed a couple of scenarios. He answered all my questions and explained the entire process. We scheduled a day for the work and he was able to do it nearly 2 weeks before the scheduled date. Absolutely 5 stars! They were extremely responsive. I have a small yard and was tired of re-sodding once a year and decided to get turf. I got a few quotes. Price was competitive but it was the service that set them apart. Even after I made my choice and based on a couple questions I had, they brought yet another sample to make sure I was 100% confident in my choice. They were able to install within a couple days of me accepting their quote. There was one very small issue after the installers had left. They accidentally covered a couple sprinkler heads that were pretty far into the ground. They came back out same day and within hours of leaving to immediately rectify the problem. 100% recommend this Company! read more

Fantastic experience. We worked with Alan and he has great attention to detail and warns you about any potential issues or additional costs upfront. Wakasa is reasonably priced for the amount of work they do, and the turf installation was impressive. We needed to have our ground elevated several inches in order for it to be totally flat, and the crew told us that upfront and gave us time to sign off on the additional cost before doing the work. All I can say is wow. I have a sand pit in my back yard for the kids but the weeds and sand blowing in our pool made it terrible. Friday December 27th, I looked up different companies for turf and Wakasatx came up on yelp and they had great reviews. I sent a message through yelp Friday the 27th at 8 pm, Saturday December 28th, Stephen came to my house at noon for a bid. He was very informative, new exactly what I wanted but also made suggestions and had samples of turf for us to look at. My wife fell in love with the top of the line tier 3 turf so I asked him to give me a bid. By 4 pm, we had a bid that we agreed with and signed with him the same day. Here's what made the experience remarkable. I told Stephen that I was going to pay with credit card and he told me he had a finance institution doing zero percent financing for one year. Perfect for us. Filled out application at 4:30 pm, had approval at 5 pm and Stephen was able to get us in Monday December 30th before our New Years party. Unbelievable right!!! The guys showed up at 8:30 today and were done before 5 pm. The workers were just like Stephen, courteous, knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. Cleaned up when they were done too. Take it from me, I'm a custom home builder in Bellaire, Heights, and in Houston. In my line of business, it is imperative to have a great eye for detail and these guys were great. Extremely pleased with Wakasa. They arrived when they said they would. Their crew cleaned up after themselves every single day. They protected the other grass as much as they could by laying down boards. The crew clearly knew what they were doing and the project manager Jeff was awesome. He was professional, polite, and explained everything in detail. For this project, I had interviewed 3 companies. One company added another extra 50 square feet to the total amount. Another company handed me a "quick estimate" but their measurement was off by 69 square feet so I wasn't sure if later they were going to up the price because the area was miscalculated. Stephen, the President from Wakasa measured the area exactly and it matched the exact number I had come up with. He explained the entire process in detail and he left me several samples to choose from. The other company that had measured "under," he had forgot to bring their most popular sample so he had to return two days later to drop it off. Anyway, extremely pleased with Wakasa and I'm mad at myself for not having done this sooner. Our family has been spending so much more time around the playground even at night than before when we had to constantly deal with the constant mud. read more

Love my new yard. I had trouble growing grass due to lack of sun and have 2 dogs. Mud pit. I got several quotes - Wakasa came and gave me a quote, I accepted it a few hours later and they were able to install the next day. Came at 8:30 and were finished by 3:00 for 300 sq ft. They were so professional, with the exception of having a beautiful yard, you would never know they were there. I did have limited access to the backyard but they made it work. The grading of the yard was done correctly for proper drainage. It has only been a day, so cannot give a long term opinion, but couldn't be happier so far! It makes me so happy to look outside and see green, not dirt. (My dogs don't have a problem with it either) It feels like spring - now I just need to replant the flowers! read more

We are very pleased with the artificial turf Waskasa installed for us. We have a side yard that receives very little sunlight. We were continually putting in new sod to try and keep that area looking nice. Once we decided to try artificial turf I was referred to Wakasa by a rep. I called and Wakasa came out that afternoon, brought me samples, measured the space and I had a quote the next day. We set up the installation for 2 weeks later and they did a fantastic job. Their crew couldn't have been nicer. They were in and out in about 6-7 hours. They left the work area spotless, washed down the patio area, swept the gravel back into the perimeter area. The guys honestly got a kick out of seeing our reaction to the final product. I only wish I had done this years ago. I can't recommend artificial turf or Wakasa Construction enough. read more
