This is such a hidden gem spot in Aurora. I also noticed that this is the place to be when you want to get out of the house and study for school. Wake & Take is open very late in the day which is a plus, since other coffee shops literally close at 5pm etc. The atmosphere is very chill with decent music. There is a grand piano for those who want to show off their skills. This Snickers latte was super sweet, but I absolutely loved it. It was a nice morning treat! The bagel was also a wonderful compliment, and it's hard to mess up a plain bagel. The space was super cute and spacious. It's two stories with tall ceilings and lots of windows bringing in lots of lights. You have tables and couches giving different seating arrangements for reading, hanging out, or working on your laptop. I was there near the holidays during the day, and it was pretty empty making it easy to get a spot and stay for a long time. read more

I stumbled upon this cafe and I'm so happy I did. First of all the place is adorable. Clean and open, lots of seating, and tables inside and outside. There was a loft area with comfy couches, board games, and outlets to charge your devices. The staff were really nice and the selection of pastries was incredible. I didn't know what to choose!! The guy recommended the cheese danish and it was so good!! I had a pistachio latte and sat awhile and read my book. It was the perfect start to my day. Now if only I lived closer!!! read more

I'm definitely a regular here- considering I live in the apartments right on top of the coffee shop. I love this place. Staff are always so friendly, I love that they have couches and the upstairs nook is so cozy! I love that they are open late, I can grab a sweet treat on the weekends after 8-9pm which is great. I think I really liked this cafe. The aesthetics were calming and reminded me of the cafes in Europe. The customer service was great and the baristas were patient with me as I'd lost my voice. I decided on the hot caramel macchiato and chicken sandwich. The 12oz was a bit small for the price you pay. I'm not much of a hot coffee drinker but decided to indulge due to my sore throat. It was okay, didn't taste much like caramel macchiato but it wasn't nasty. I think I'd have to come back to try it in iced form to see how I really feel about it. The chicken sandwich used sliced deli chicken with tomato, lettuce, cheese, and some sort of sauce/spread. I want to say it was mayo but it had a little more flavor than mayo does. It was pretty mild in flavor, if it had a chipotle aioli it would've been out of this world. I have a love dislike relationship with it because even though not a bunch of flavor I couldn't wait for the next bite. All in the same, however, I wish it did have more flavor. The bread was perfect. It was crisped but not hard and super crunchy so it provided a nice texture contrast and it didn't hurt my teeth. read more

Good place to meet up and catch up with friends. I ordered a Hawaiian Strawberries Tea. It tastes much more like dragonfruit and was just an excellent drink on a hot summer's day. The service is courteous and down to earth. They have a pager system and once your food/drinks are ready you will get buzzed. Then you go to the pickup counter to grab your goodies. Also ordered a carrot cake. Other than lacking frosting, the flavors were pretty good. However I probably wouldn't order it again. Wake & Take Cafe is a great spot to meet up with friends, study and/or get your mind in the right mindset to get work done. Would return to try the other pastries and drinks. read more

I checked out Wake & Take Cafe because I wanted to try a new coffee shop. As soon as you walk in, its quite spacious with ample seating. They have a good selection of pastries, breakfast items, coffee and other drinks. We had the beef pie, waffle with creme brulee filling, peach shaped dessert and iced caramel macchiato. I enjoyed the macchiato and the flavor of the meat pie. The pastries were good too but the fillings were just okay. I was excited for the creme brulee filled waffle but the filling did not taste like creme brulee. All in all, I would recommend checking them out. I will definitely be checking them out again. read more

The drinks are fantastic and they have sooo many yummy treats! They give you a free cookie with your drink but they have great options for savory pastries, sweet pastries, cakes, etc. Not to mention that the space is adorable!! It's cozy yet spacious. They are hands down the best cage I've been to! We went a few times during our weekend of classes and is BY FAR the best find in Aurora. I was blown away the minute I walked in, it is clean, welcoming and one of the most beautiful cafes I've been to. Everyone who worked there was incredibly kind and very helpful with the delicacies in the case to the different kinds of coffee. I wanted to get to know them all! Everything in that pastry case was homemade with love and it is in the taste. My favorites were the Crimean Chebureki, it's the one that looks like a peach in the photos. It is this light but cakey pastry with a pastry cream inside that will blow your mind. My other favorite was the Dubai cake. There are no words for how amazing this melt in your mouth cake is. It's light and airy with a pistachio flavor that brings tears of joy to your eyes. Everything about Wake & Take is well worth the drive! I can't recommend it more! read more

They have an impressive selection of herbal teas (hard to find at a "typical coffee shop!) and delicious baked goods that actually taste homemade (the honey cake is my favorite). This is a very spacious place to meet for coffee or do some relaxation in one of their comfy tables or even venture up to the 2nd floor. I came in for the snicker coffee. From other posters, it appeared really delicious and I was looking for something special. Since it was my first time, I asked how it is served. Hot. Ok. Got the larger size. How was the Snicker coffee? It was ok. Yes, just ok. Maybe I had too high of expectation. I was surprised to see one small piece of snicker on top of whip cream. Several would have been nicer. While writing this review, I checked out other Yelpers photos. Definitely, I got the wrong end of the deal. Cold iced is possible and more than one snicker seems to be the norm. Great little coffee shop somewhat hidden in an apartment complex. The latte I had was one of the best I ever had (and I've had a lot). They had a decent selection of pastries, breakfast and other food items. The atmosphere was nice as well. Not too small with a really neat upstairs sitting area. There was a nice baby grand piano and a small stage area for entertainment. I didn't get the backstory, but it seemed to be owned by some Ukrainian folks as the gal behind the counter was from there and spoke broken English. They also sold an anti-war t-shirt. Great study spot! Except the last time I went. A family came in and their kids were being loud and disruptive that I left. Overall, great late night study area! Lately, their iced coffee drinks have been way too sweet. I feel they've been putting too much syrup. But the hot coffee drinks are better. Cool little coffee shop in Aurora! It's quite minimalistic inside. There are tables on the ground level as well as in the upstairs loft area. There's a stage ready for live entertainment. They have free Wi-Fi, so it's a convenient place to do some work or surf the internet while you enjoy your drink & bakery item. They offer so many different food options: croissants, cookies, Danishes, muffins, scones, sandwiches, etc. I think I had a dessert coffee! I ordered the Snickers Coffee. As the pieces of Snickers melted, it made the drink seem like a Mocha! I actually enjoyed chewing the peanut bits at the bottom of the cup! Such a decadent cup of coffee! I like their logo... an owl with a coffee cup! It's so artistically rendered! I would definitely return to get the Snickers Coffee and maybe try a baked good. Honestly, not a great experience. I asked for an 8 oz hot chocolate, but the girl at the counter charged me for a 16 oz without saying anything. And the drink? It was cold and tasted like tap water mixed with chocolate powder -- definitely not what you'd expect from a cafe. I saw this place hyped up by an Instagram influencer, but it didn't live up to any of it. The vibe, the service, and especially the drinks were all pretty disappointing.
