My pick is Waldo's Chicken and Beer in Owasso. They put out an excellent LARGE salad, packed with fresh greens and abundant chunks of chicken that just came out of the fryer. It is served in a real bowl, with a real fork. The restaurant bright and comfortable. The service not only friendly, but a level above the competition. It is good. Stopped for lunch, first time here. Food & service were both good. Sat on the patio, nice vibe with about 8 TVs & decent music playing at a volume low enough to be able to carry on a conversation without shouting. I got the FREEBIRD CLUB (Fried Chicken Tenders, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo, and Honey Mustard on Toasted Texas Toast) & my sister got the 1/4 dark FRIED CHICKEN (Brined Overnight and Hand Breaded) plate. Tried Waldo's today for lunch. I'll preface up front that I'd seen their menu and alread felt that their prices are out of line. That said, I decided to review based solely on food quality and taste and not value. So... first off... the menu is a little disorganized and hard to follow. I wound up doing the 1/4 chicken all dark with potato wedges and mac n cheese, with iced tea. Service was almost nonexistent. Not bad or good, just nonexistent, as I placed my order at the register to a polite but pretty detached young lady. No smile, no "welcome to Waldo's", just "could I take your order". It's lunchtime, and the place is busy, so no harm no foul, just the only observation I can make regarding service. The place was fairly crowded at 12:40 ish, but I found a booth and sat down. That's when I realized you get your own drink, which should have been glaringly obvious to me since I was standing right next to the drink station when I ordered. So that's on me. My order arrived fairly quickly, which tells me the chicken is batch cooked and not to order, which makes sense, considering the lunch crowds. No harm on that either. The first thing I noted was the 2 pieces were a thigh and a leg, as you would expect for a 1/4 dark meat order. I think it was a leg. Honestly I've had wing drumettes that were nearly this big. All in, there were maybe three bites of meat on that leg. The thigh was slightly larger, and while it had a decent flavor, it was overcooked and dry. As chicken goes, this was a step above KFC, and not a huge step. The potato wedges were a total of 8 pieces, so probably a tennis ball sized potato. Not a lot there. And flavor wise, they were as basic as you can get. No seasoning at all, not even a trace of salt. Lots of potato flavor... but then there was nothing for it to compete with. The mac n cheese..... probably one of the worst mac n cheese offerings I've ever had. Nothing cheesy or gooey about it. It literally tasted like mac n cheese cake. It had this thick, cakey texture that was totally off putting. Two bites and I was done. Overall, the chicken was okay, but just okay. On their good days (which are few and far between) Church's kicks Waldo's tail on chicken. And there was this tiny little corn bread/muffin/cake thing that tasted fairly good but had this weirdly odd elastic texture. I've never in my life seen cornbread that was stretchy. No interaction with staff at all, aside from placing my order, but I didn't really expect any, since it's a fast food place. The shining star of the meal was..... yep.... the iced tea. Fresh and tasty with that little pebbly shaved ice. That was great. I guess folks like Waldo's, but then again, there's no accounting for taste. At least that's what my wife tells me on our anniversary. read more

Don't let the picture fool ya, it was a pretty good club. Lost a star bc it was awkwardly cut and negatory on the pickles, like ooos it's fell off. Chicken was cooked perfectly and was very juicy and tasty! Stick w the normal fries the wedges are just eh. Delicious! I absolutely loved my chicken sandwich! If you're looking for a thick juicy cut, probably not your place. But for me personally I LOVE a little thinner and crunchy and that's exactly what it was. Yum! Service was quick and we were checked on often. We also got the banana pudding. It was not good. This restaurant replaced the Carls Jr in Owasso. Good food but a little pricy for a family of 4 (~$65) but the serving sizes were decent. My daughter thought the batter was spicy so may not be enjoyable for younger/pickier pallets. The coleslaw tasted old so none of us touched that. Honestly amazing food but service is horrible at this point I don't know how many times my food has been messed up. I ordered 2 4 piece combos with 2 drinks and 2 extra Mac and cheeses I got 1 of my 4 pieces had to remind them I had 2 didn't get my Mac and cheeses after reminding them and never got the drinks thing and I sat there waiting at the window for another 5 to 10 minutes and the driver through worker just looked at us and walked off we were extremely respectful and even left a tip and still got this kinda of service if I could give it 0 stars I would read more

The food was good, but the service left much to be desired. I had seen a previous review on an issue with the person working the drive thru, but decided to give it a try in hopes that it was simply a fluke. This was our first visit and we ordered a combo tender meal, which included a drink, and a chicken sandwich (which doesn't come with a drink--totally fine!). However, after ordering the sandwich, we weren't asked what type of drink we wanted for the sandwich. When we realized this, we asked to add an extra drink to the order before pulling forward. The staff confirmed we could add it, but when we received our order, only one drink was included. When we pointed this out, the staff member checked the receipt and stated, "Well, you only ordered one," (same lady we spoke to prior) and then proceeded to fill just one small drink. Despite our explanation that we had asked for two drinks, she closed the window on us without addressing the issue further. Thankful for QT being very close for our drinks! This lack of communication and unwillingness to resolve a simple request left a poor impression. I hope Waldo's can address these service issues to match the quality of their food. read more

I was here Tuesday night, around 10 PM in the drive-through line. I waited 25 minutes in the drive-through when no one else was in line. Nobody tried to help me. Everybody had their back facing the window so I couldn't get help. I had to start waving my hand to get somebody's attention. When I finally got their attention after the 25 minutes the guy who took my order proceeded to ask oh you don't have your order yet I thought I gave it to you. I think their service was very rude, multiple people walked by as I was waving my hand and did not help me. This was very irritating and I don't know why no one bothered to ask why I was just sitting at the window for that long in the first place. They did give me my food for free but this really annoyed me. read more

This was the best chicken I have had. The food was fresh and was made from scratch. The service and employees are wonderful. Once the order was put in we had our order in 5 minutes. The owner actually came out and introduced himself then his wife stopped by and checked on us. Very friendly atmosphere, great vibes all the around.
