They cooked the egg an oil instead of butter, and make sure not to toast the gluten-free bun with butter as well. The waitress made a great recommendation of honey Dijon mustard with bacon as a dipping sauce for my fries. (I would want just a little bit more flavor in the burger meat. It's been a really long time since we've been here. It was really busy, which is to be expected for a Saturday at lunch time. The pimento bacon appetizer is really good. I always order the everything burger, and it's worth it. It's messy, but decadent. My son ordered the chicken and waffles. It was just okay. The waffle was a little doughy and the chicken's seasoning was pooled up in one spot. The cayenne syrup was great though. The tots were just okay as well, which was a bummer because they are normally so delicious. This time the center was a little cloudy and stringy. I went here for lunch on a Saturday at the beginning of Christmas shopping season. There were four of us in our party. Our server took great care of us. We requested some of our burgers with modifications, and she made sure everything came out as ordered. We started with the sampler appetizer platter. It was nice to give everyone at the table the ability to choose whether they wanted onion rings, fried pickles, or fried mushrooms. We appreciated the house made ranch dressing. We would have liked to see variety in the amount and type of breading to each item. The thick breading was well suited for the onion rings but not for the mushrooms and pickles, which we felt would do better with a lighter breading. I went with the Okie with only onions. I also added pickles and mustard because an onion burger is not an onion burger without pickles and mustard. It was just what this double smash burger needed. Overall it met all of my basic burger requirements. It was served hot, the bottom didn't disintegrate before I finished eating the burger, and the patties had a nice looking crust on them. I would have liked the burger to come out hotter than it was; I don't mind waiting for it to cool down. I also thought that the burger didn't match the menu description. An OK onion burger is made in such a way that you can't separate the onions and the patty, but that was not the case with this burger. It still tasted great and had a noticeable amount of sauteed onions. The double patties deliver height and more beef to chomp through. However, they would probably do well to advertise on the menu that any burger can be ordered with a single patty for those who want to save money and/or have a smaller appetite. I also enjoyed a side of their coleslaw. It's great when a restaurant adds its own touch to the coleslaw dressing recipe, and Society Burger does that. It was colored a light orange; I am not sure how they did that. When I finished, I noticed grainy bits left behind that made me think they're adding a generous amount of onion powder and/or garlic powder. A cool and crunchy counterpoint to the onion burger. Overall I am looking forward to my next trip to Tulsa to sample another delicious burger. read more

They have six cocktails for five dollars each, their draft beers are five dollars and they have four dollar Bota Box wine. for the beer drinkers all beers on tap are five dollars during happy hour. That's awesome. For appetizers choose between fried mushrooms or fried pickles, six dollars each. We ordered a sided off the regular menu. The jalapeño cheddar tots are excellent and their onion rings are also really good. The onion rings have a really awesome flakey light breading. We had our service dog with us and we got a couple side eyes as we walked in. The waitress seemed to have to check with her manager to see if it was OK. after clearing that minor hurdle we had a seat and were waited on immediately. The music loudness was very reasonable and the inside seating was probably about half full. Nobody was seated outside probably due to the fact that it was 96° outside. But the outside seating patio does have misters and fans. The Mac and cheese was somewhat disappointing. There was a lack of creamy cheese on the noodles. Such a cute spot on Cherry Street! I like the vibe here - it's a lively, trendy place that's great for groups. Perfect for a casual night out with friends. There is parking in the back, though it can get busy on weekends so be prepared. They have a decent selection of burgers on the menu, several with a creative flair. There's nothing I hate more than spending money at an establishment that's being sloppy. And that's what is going down right now on this Sunday at Society Burger. I'm writing this from the bar so that management can check the timestamp and address the staff. Upon entering- no greeting. A lot of staff standing in the kitchen entry and around the MOD sitting at a booth. After a few moments I seat myself at the bar. I wait a little longer than I should, but it becomes clear the bartender is doing her best. She has all the tables and bar guests- I'm thinking it's shift change. So none of the other servers are helping. Neither is the manager. The staff are talking LOUDLY in the kitchen. Several f bombs louder than the music playing. I ever get to overhear a server complaing about alwasy being assigned the same section. While the manager barks back he has never assigned her that section... Guess what- this shop talk is not improving my experience... Once the bartender makes it to me she is nice. Does a great job. Gets my salad order in so it comes out first and then puts in my burger and grabs me a beer. I'm good. Salad doesn't come out before the burger. Clearly the staff doing nothing but hanging in the kitchen entryway or with the manager at the booth are not interested in running food in the window. And so I wait until the bartender gets back there and brings both out. Food arrives. It's delicious. Hangover burger is incredible. Bartender is attentive the whole time as best she can- taking care of others, bussing her own tables, and all the while not one other staff member is helping her. It's really shameful. food - i've been to the restaurant before and got a burger with a standard beef hamburger patty, though have been avoiding "red meat" recently. and so today, still wanting a burger at the restaurant known for that item, i looked for a burger on the menu without "red meat". and while there were at least a couple featured burger selections with a patty comprised of an alternative to beef, i've had a theta burger before both at society, and a recently closed drive-in restaurant in norman, and each was reminiscent of the kind of barbecue flavors that beef-eaters crave in an alternative patty. thus, i'd decided to order the theta burger with a turkey patty because i was confident that the shoestring onions, barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese, and sliced pickles on the burger would bring out the kind of barbecue flavors i was seeking in a burger with an alternative patty, and because the restaurant does not charge extra in substituting a turkey patty in any of its burgers. that to say, the kind of patty is almost irrelevant to the visual effect of the burger, especially if you are trying it for the first time, with the cheese skirt around the burger of about double the circumference of the bun, is visually noticeable, to describe in understatement. and though i'm sure other people who order the burger, regardless of patty variety, have a distinct approach to eating it, i'd gone with cutting around half the crispy cheese skirt into bite-size portions with a fork and knife, and then folding the remainder of the cheese onto the burger, and eating the portion under and including the top bun with about a triple portion of cheese. and so, although the large, wide portion of cheese might be tasty, it is one feature of the theta burger you may consider requesting be excluded if either dealing with lactose intolerance or selecting the burger primarily for the barbecue-related toppings, as no barbecue i've attended has more than doubled the amount of cheese on any item, except the mac and cheese if the side chef is really in that bag. in addition to the tasty turkey-patty theta burger, i also got a side of onion rings and a sprite. the latter of those was quite tasty per use, and though the former may not have been the most diverse choice, considering that the burger i'd got already has onion rings as a topping, i'm still glad to have tried the onion rings as a separate side since the restaurant breads the onions in such a way as to not crumble easily like onion rings from other spots. service - the service i got from the bartender while dining at the bar during the opening hour of the restaurant today was kind and skillful, achieving a balance between attentive and minimalist, ideal for someone with the personality type i've got while dining alone. ambiance - the ambiance at the restaurant includes several additive features, including: the location of the bar between the covered, open-air patio and the walled inside of the restaurant; many tvs in the patio area; and at least one mister on the patio, which though not needed by me at the 11:00 hour during which i dined, likely very useful during a summer month such as now. read more

Both are excellent, though I expected more onion rings on the chili Burger. I would have to give a nod to the Everything Burger in this head-to-head. The onion ring and Jalapeno tot sides are excellent, and we also had the Pimento cheese with bacon jam appetizer (). We were with my wife's folks and our kids as well. Mac-n-cheese for the youngest, and the grandparents and oldest boy all had the Bacon Cheeeese Burger, which looked great, and had two thumbs up from all of them. My boyfriend and I had off today, so we made the 3.5-hour drive from Dallas to eat here. We got the fried pickles, an Okie, and the Hangover burger. The fried pickles are scrumptious and come piping hot, the Okie is delicious (as always), and the Hangover was everything my boyfriend wanted in a burger. Sides don't come included with the order of a burger, but they're so big that you don't really need one. Service is prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. All waitstaff seem to work as a team so sitting, ordering, and getting your food is seamless. Came on a Tuesday at 12:45ish and was seated immediately. Came with a large group tonight. I'm used to waiters rolling their eyes at split checks and (fairly!!) getting stressed out at the whole ordeal. Society made our experience SO enjoyable! I can't say enough good things. The manage personably saw to our table alongside a super kind and efficient waiter. They were both patient with the kids and noise, intelligent in their handling of the different orders, and speedy in their service. And, of course, nothing hits the spot like a Society milkshake! Today, I had the worst experience ever. I had placed a to-go order and was going up the steps when the waitress opened the door for the man in front of me. I thought that was nice. However, when I reached the door, no one opened it for me. Two white ladies came up the steps behind me and said, "Excuse me, my grandmother is trying to get up the steps." I responded that I was waiting to see if the waitress would open the door for me. I am Black and have been a regular customer at Society for at least the past three years. The younger lady opened the door, and I stepped aside to let the grandmother go first. However, the young lady then said, "It wasn't that difficult." I replied, "You will never understand how I feel." Both the grandmother and the young lady told me to leave it alone and that I should just go. In my 72 years, I have never been told to leave by another customer. The waitress claimed she was in conversation with the family and did not see me, but there was only one person, a manin front of man and not the entire family. Great place to hang on a Saturday afternoon. We just stopped in for beers and an appetizer. It was a HOT day so we sat at the inside bar, but the misting fans outside actually were cool. Dined here last night with a large group of Yelp folks and had a good experience. The service was attentive and friendly. The best appetizer was the pimento bacon jam served with toast points...creamy and delicious! For my entree I chose the spicy okie burger and it was good and cooked perfectly, but not quite spicy enough for my palate. If you like really spicy food I'd recommend asking for extra jalapeños on it. I've noticed that when jalapeños are grilled they loose some of their intensity. Fries were also good - hot and crunchy on the outside. When I compare this place to my all time favorite burger place in Tulsa (Hanks), it comes in pretty close.
