While the dental staff is great. The last 4 times I have visited they have messed up the billing. I will not be visiting ever again because of the billing issues. Taking money out if my account after bills are paid, getting billed hundreds of dollars extra because they lied about what my insurance covered. Called back WDG, made appointment for extraction. They called me back and insisted that the tooth needs a crown now. So let me get this straight, you'll put a crown on it, but you won't pull it? Took my 5-year-old son in today for routine exam and cleaning as a cash-paying client. I was quoted $59 for exam, cleaning, and xrays. I did not want my child to have xrays unless it was necessary. So I filled out all the paperwork and AFTER the exam, I was told they really don't do pediatrics in this office and they could refer me to their Sister office a half hour away. My son did not get the cleaning and I was told they would do it at the other office. I still paid their new patient special for the dentist to look at his teeth then tell me to go somewhere else. Why on earth didn't they just tell me they don't do pediatric dentistry before they examined him and then charged me for it? I was wanting to support my local dentist, but they obviously wanted the fee more than a satisfied customer. read more

I usually don't recommend any places unless I get a really excellent care. This dental office and especially Dr. Liem deserves a good recommendation. I had two crowns placed in another dental office, and apparently they were not placed right because food was getting in between a crown and a healthy tooth all the time. When I came to this office I had a hard time trusting any dentist. I was guarded about the care I was about to receive but needed this problem fixed. Dr. Liem did my crowns so beautifully they don't feel like not my own natural teeth anymore, and no food gets stuck in between teeth! read more

A cute cookie cutter high tech dental office. I truly think they do try hard, but something is seriously missing! MY biggest issue isn't the dentists there or even most of the staff. Its the finance/billing/mgmt. Shes either overworked, overwhelmed or clueless as to how to follow thru with simple follow up calls or even working up the cost of a complicated treatment plan. As for pricing there are one of the highest in the area & inflate the UCR fees so you think your getting a great deal! Whats even worse, is they make you feel you should be grateful your sitting in the waiting room. Our family was one of the first patients when this office opened up. We decided to go elsewhere. Until they make some drastic changes to staffing, it should NOT be considered your best dental option in Antelope area. For example: they recommended my wife as a candidate for dentures, and her teeth are a lost cause, we went elsewhere, got a 2nd opinion. Guess what? NO dentures, better choices, better pricing, financing and BIGGER SMILES!!!! I gave it 3 stars cause the office and most of the staff is pretty nice and fun! AS for Bryan, L. McHughs, and Jaime? they need conflict resolution skills, sensitivity training and better time management! . Their quality service didn't work for this family and WE are better off for it! I am not very satisfied with this office. I have had my daughters enrolled there since January and before the initial appointment we got a call late the night before saying that the dentist was no longer working there. That was a bit of a hassle but we got an appointment with a provider and the appointments went fairly well. Here we are, 6 months later, and we get another phone call saying the dentist is no longer working there! I am trying to make sure my kids are comfortable at the dentist and this is not going to happen with a new provider each time they go in! I am looking into switching for sure now. read more

They got me an immediate appointment. No credit check or care credit required. I put 40% doen and got my work completed in roughly 15 min. Do not go to this dentist.He is a very good salesman and a very poor dentist. My experience with this dentist is not pleasant at all. I have a wisdom tooth that comfortably sitting there and has never bothered me at all.Other dentist have told me to leave it alone.But on two occaisions this dentist has tried to talk me into having it removed.This has raised a red flag for me. Six months ago I had deep cleaning done.When I went back recently I found out before my procedure that the charges were extremely high so I asked why?The front office staff said it was for deep cleaning.I told them I just had deep cleaning done and I should not be having another one done so soon.They told me to make a booking to see the doctor for an explaination.I know onething and that deep cleaning is not done every six months.This dentist is trying to make money by charging patients whatever makes more money. 10/11/2011 I have had a very pleasant experience, thus far with this office. The employees are fantastic! My dentist explained in detail what was going to be done. I even was scheduled for an apt with another office, found it to be HORRIBLE, and since I'm shaky when it comes to dentists, they promptly found another office for me and booked the appointment, for the same date and time as my previous appointment. Don't go to this dental office!!!! I went here for my second cleaning and the dentist had the dental assistant polish my teeth without scraping the tarter. There are two things wrong with this statement. First there was a dental assistant and not a dental hygienist cleaning my teeth. Second the dental assistant did not scrape my teeth during my cleaning. All my years of going to the dentist it has been my experience a dental hygienist cleans my teeth by scraping the tarter and then polishing. The only reason why I switched dentist is because I had different coverage due to changing jobs. My first visit the dentist advised me that my gold cap needed replacement and it would cost me $1000. The second visit I was examined by another dentist and he did not mention that my gold cap was loose so I question the integrity of this office. I was referred to this office from a class mate and I had not been to dentist in a few years. I made my appt which they work around my work schedule and when I arrived the wait was not long at all. Tine (x-ray tech) did the most through job of taken the x-rays and the photos of my teeth with accuracy and most professional. I have had other dentist do x-rays on my children that took over 40 minutes and not get all of them. And when I was seen by the doctor he made me feel comfortable and the assistants were amazing (Stef) was very professional and made me feel like I was doing the right thing to come there. David went over the cost with me and made it possible to have the work that I need done and affordable. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who asks for a referral and I will try to get other people to visit and get the same satisfaction that I experienced. read more

I just recently found out about YELP and this gives me an opportunity to let others who have had bad experience, no experience, or just plain anxious about going to the dentist. . . this is the place for you. When I changed jobs I had to change dental plans after 20 yrs with the same practice. After 4 visits now, I believe even if I didn't have to change plans, I would have loved to have known about the hygienist Laura who is absolutely da bomb (good thing) with cleaning teeth and explaining everything. She is caring and empathetic. I like the new technology they offer and they were easy to accommodate me with a payment plan. The office is clean. The staff are all pleasant, The periodontist has the greatest chair side manner and his sense of humor was greatly appreciated. The office may appear small; but they're big on customer service and quality of service. read more

This place is absolutely horrible. Here is my experience. I have no form in getting anything from this experience I would just like you, as a costumer, to stay clear of this place and find a place that would treat you with respect. My mother had been experiencing very severe pain and went to a check up (not from this place) and told her she will be needing an oral procedure done and her insurance referred her to this place. She called and tried to set up a procedure, the first question the lady asked was what was her insurance. So she gave the name. I will not be disclosing the name of her insurance. The women said she doesn't have any availability until January. Mind you my mother is in an extreme amount of pain that I have witnessed myself. This is where I come in. I am an office manager in a clinic so I know how these things work. They were purposely trying to avoid taking my mother in and told her all the way in January because all facts show that they know her referral only lasts 90 days and we're hoping it would expire. Why would they do this? Because my moms insurance pays the amount of the procedure, not anything over. This was confirmed when I called them and pretended to be another patient, not disclosing and information about my mother and Sad I was a patient with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance and I was being referred to them. Again, working in the field, I know the amount blue cross pays for procedures and it is a very good amount. They said they can get me in for the same procedure ON FRIDAY!!!!! are you kidding me? Screw this place. I'm not going off about the doctors or the dental assistants because I haven't gotten the chance to see there work so I'm not writing about them. This is all about money when it comes down to it, which insurance company/ patients will be paying the most amount. And if you're in pain and you have a referral and are willing to pay the price for just the procedure, it doesn't cut it. Another detail I forgot to mention was when my mother gave the name of the insurance, she didn't bother looking into the calendar she just straight off the bat told her there's no availability. As for me she took a good solid minute to look at the calendar and try to get me in. Please stay away from this place. As a patient I feel like you should be taken equally and treated with care not looked at the $ amount. read more

I chose this office for it's convenient location, being new to the area. For the first visit for my 3 children, they had to be scheduled 3 months out; understandable for checkup appointments of new patients. Appointment date rolls around, and all 3 appointments need to be rescheduled. OK, I can understand that. Get in to the rescheduled appointment, and of course, my kids need all sorts of "specialty" treatments. I felt like I was being sold to based on what they could get out of me, and not what my kids required. Fast forward to 6 months later. Appointments were made at last appointment (6 months prior) for regular checkup's. Confirmation emails were sent to me, I confirmed appointments, I'm thinking "we're all set." Walerga Dental Group called to reschedule child #1. Again, I can understand that, and I rescheduled. The morning of child #2's appointment, I was called to reschedule, yet AGAIN. "Why, you ask?" The dentist was running behind at 9am. UNACCEPTABLE. I am a single parent, with full custody, therefore, my schedule (like other parents) is packed. Wait. It gets better. They called to reschedule child #1's appointment (again). I mention child #3's appointment the following week to attempt to schedule them close enough together. Guess what?!? Child #3 needs to ALSO be rescheduled! The earliest they can get my kids in for an after school appointment is FEBRUARY. For appointments that were made in July. Child #1 & #3 are on a cancellation list to be scheduled sooner, in the event two other patients cancel. I would like to let it be known that I didn't attempt to schedule all 3 kids in the same appointment; oh no, that would be too convenient for me. I made 3 separate appointments, on 3 separate days, even over the course of 3 separate weeks, only to have 4 appointment changes. Incredibly unprofessional. I am a patient person, however, this is unacceptable. I will be changing dental offices ASAP. read more

Folks...I would love to give them a good review. There staff is friendly, kind, and helpful. But...my experience has left me very skeptical. I had my teeth cleaned in the fall of 2014 and it was my first time at this dentist office due to new insurance. On examination the dentist, Dr. Kaur, suggested I get the tooth removed that had broken off at the base of my gum. It was a tooth that had a root canal and I didn't crown it and the filling came out and the toot cracked. Anyway...I did as she suggested and got it removed by the oral surgeon. Now...note, I don't think it was one of their regular oral surgeons. The day after I had it extracted it became infected. I called the dentist and Dr. Kaur and we talked over the phone. I went in the next day and had it x-rayed. It was indeed infected. At that time I asked her if he should have flushed it with some sort of antiseptic or something and she said "yes, didn't he?" I said "no". So, she put me on antibiotics and that...so I thought...was the end of it. Well, a few weeks later I noticed a little discomfort on the tooth with heat (that I had never experienced before) about 2 weeks later I felt not well. Just a little off and my gum felt uncomfortable. I called and got in for an examination. After x-raying she came in and told me I had an infection in the tooth directly behind the tooth extracted. I assumed it must be because the filling was cracked or tooth was cracked and bacteria had entered. She said "no, it was most likely due to me biting down on that tooth which caused inflammation and then infection." We scheduled a root canal and a crown appt. Here is the problem with that scenario. I had been biting down on that tooth for probably 4 years. With no problems. I began to question her reasoning. So, I asked around. I even went on the internet. I was told and read that infection can be from bacteria or trauma. and...yes, when you extract a tooth there is a possibility of infection getting to the next tooth if it is not properly cleaned. So, I called Dr. Kaur's office and talked to the scheduler. Dr. Kaur called me and told me that she had to go by the Oral Surgeons' notes. He noted he had flushed it!!! I was so upset at this point. 1. He outright lied! 2. He had a new dental assistant, fresh out of college that would not have wanted to lose her job...so was it her job to flush it? or was she just not going to say anything because she was new...and he was suppose to flush it? I do not know. But, I am very disappointed with this dental practice. I should NOT be the on having to put out between $1,100 and $1,500 for a this procedure. The oral surgeon should have called me back to the office and cleaned it and done the right thing. I am also disappointed that Dr. Kaur could not have done the right thing and taken care of it. I think she knows I am telling the truth. I have cancelled my appt. Really missing my amazing dentist in Siskiyou County! read more

UNfortunately, due to changes in my dental insurance had to come back here. Had been here a few years ago with bad experiences, switched dentists...now was back recently. And definitely won't return. Large assembly line process with LOTS of staff milling around. Received a 15 second exam and after about 5 seconds the pushy business office person comes in to talk money while the doc was still in my mouth. She returns after the exam and starts telling about close to 2000 dollars worth of work I supposedly need---which i FACTUALLY knew was a bunch of crap. I said I just wanted the basic cleaning I am due. Was told nope-couldn't have it til all this bogus work was done. I told her that's a bunch of crap....Even if my carpets needed a steam clean I'd vacuum them. Couldn't wait to leave. The same crap happened a few years ago. A neighbor says they had the same problems. Steer clear. I suspect a lot of people are having unnecessary work done and bogus cavities filled. read more

Then I receive an e mail from them telling me to call and make an appointment, when i do call , the soonest appointment they have is February. I didn't think my experience could get any worse at this dentist but it did. Dr. Car is the worst. After months & months of ongoing issues with this dentist I had had enough. In January I was told my crowns that had been ordered didn't "fit" and my teeth must've shifted so I was forced to get re-measured. I never received a call from this dentist after that. And she had even said she would expedite and have me back in a week. In April I realized I had still been paying for the crowns I never received so I reluctantly called in & asked for the office manager. She didn't know why I had never been called but wanted me to come in right away because the crowns were in the office. I tried to schedule for the following month but she was insistent I come in immediately. I insisted on another dentist since Dr Car had screwed up so bad but the manager said I had to have the same dentist because she knew my chart. BS. I put my foot down and saw Dr. Liem who was very nice. Lo & behold the teeth Dr Car was going to put crowns on can not be saved! All these months and a root canal for nothing. Now I'm having to haggle for my money back for work that never got done. This place should be shut down based off all the other bad Yelp reviews and shady practices continually going on at this dental office. read more

I have been a patient for 8+ years, paid for a ton of dental work here, and even going so far as referring people to this office. As of today I am no longer a patient, and switching dental offices. Besides the fact that I feel the quality of this place has declined over the past few years, I called to schedule a cleaning and inquire about a recently recommended procedure/treatment from my dentist. The receptionist whom answered the phone was extremely rude, didn't listen to a word I was saying or what I was asking. Then said "I am not going to continue to let you yell at me", which I was definitely not yelling, just asking for what I needed from her, and hung up on me. Nobody has called me back to resolve. The reception staff could use some up training in how to handle customer requests, effective communication, and offer proper resolutions. A simple call back from my dentist to discuss my needs, since she herself could not help, would have been resolution enough. I don't intend on returning to this place after 8 years of loyalty. Don't go here if you expect warm interactions and to not feel like another number. read more

Sad the Dentist or staff did not have the time to explain procedures from beginning to the end. We had complications and they brushed us off telling us they did not have time for us. I went in for dentures, and it took a year to complete my work. I had pain several times and couldnt get in to have dentures worked on. office staff treats you like you are being a sissy ..My bottom teeth still are not good. I tried to get appt for a sore on my gum caused by my dentures and couldn't get in unless i waited three weeks and meanwhile pain pain pain. I finally fixed them myself with an electric nail file yay, no more pain. . i will never go there again. If they had worked on my teeth as fast as they took my money, i would have been much happier. It was wait wait wait, for my teeth so i could eat eat eat. The dentist that made my top dentures the first time, 30 yrs ago, never made me wait when i had pain. wasn't used to the pain filled service i received. And even though i had insurance my share of cost was very expensive for the lousy service. read more

Overall it was a good experience. I had all four wisdom teeth taken out, everything went fine and here we are two days later and the pain is very minimal. They are however very vague with their instructions and seem like they could use a little bit more organization. They are very flexible with their financing option, although they did manage to sneak an extra $60 from the original estimate. The staff was very friendly and my appointments were very quick, maybe about half hour for initial exam and about an hour for the surgery. read more

Very bad service. Every time I have an appointment I know something is going to go wrong and my son wont be seen for one reason or another. My 9 year old son got referred to a pedo. First they didn't send all the papers needed to the insurance. I called them a couple days later to see if correct papers had been sent and they apologized and said they forgot. Another time they were suppose to send a referral and I waited a month thinking that would be enough time for it to be processed when I called insurance they said they didn't receive any referral. My son had a spacer which needed to be removed he missed school for appt they call me last moment and tell me Dr said she didn't have tools needed to remove it. Like a previous review stated, they don't respect your time here. On 2 separate occasions I made it very clear that I had to be out of their office by 8:00 and the dentist kept saying "Ok we will make sure you're out of here by 8:15." I had to reiterate that the latest I could stay was 8:00. I was seeing one of the dentists here because I needed a replacement night guard...it became the most unprofessional and biggest waste of my time more than anything else. He ordered me the wrong mouth piece (again because he wasn't listening to me) and then retook molds of my mouth so he could order the right one. When I went to pick it up he didn't have it and stated that he never told me he was going to order a new one. He was so out of line! Long story short, it was over a 2 month ordeal and I still never received the right night guard that I paid for. And the topper was when I was leaving my last appointment he had the nerve to say he wanted/needed to see me the following week. I said no the nicest way I could and left. Two days later I received an email stating I had a appointment...an appointment I never made! So they just scheduled me without even talking to me about it! Are you kidding me!? This place is a joke of a business. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the girls at the front desk have always been nice and welcoming. read more

This is the first dental group we have ever visited that talked to you before the treatment(s) directly with the dentist, to build a rapport and lasting relationship. It is also the first dentist we visited where each and every member of the team wanted to know how you were doing while you were waiting between the many different steps in the entire process of your visit. It is a compliment to say that you are innovative rather than conventional in your approach to patient care. People visit out of necessity and are often limited by insurance plans as to whom they choose. You were chosen as a result of being in-plan and geographic location from our residence. The experience thereafter was refreshing, comforting, and flexible, amidst a flurry of activity. You also have every imaginable technical stress reliever at hand while providing unmatched hospitality. Well Done! read more
