I don't know who I have to talk to, but I need people to know what happened today when I went to Walgreens in American Canyon. I had just drove to Walgreens to pick up my medication. And as I was walking out I felt faint. To my surprise I was having a Low. I am a dialysis patient and had just had a session at my center. Thank goodness the Pharmacist seen I was in dyer straits and came to my rescue, and another Angel fell from Heaven when a nurse was taking a walk, and decided to pick up her medication also. And this 2nd Angel her name was Lorna, The Pharmacists name is Bernadette. And Rose behind the screen to make sure I was Ok. I can't say enough how loved, and cared for I was by these beautiful People. I will never forget their coming to my rescue..So if you want a great Drug store, Please! Go to Walgreens in American Canyon. They are Wonderful, Caring, Loving people...All of them... read more

I usually pick up my prescription medication at this location, mostly the pharmacists who assist me are usually friendly and accommodating but whoever is working today November 27 Saturday afternoon time is 3:30pm and they said they're name is Alicia and Ester or pretending their names when I asked both of them are not friendly and has ZERO customer service. This store was great until about 6 months ago or so. Unfortunately most of the great workers have moved on I assume because there are allot of newbies, and they are just awful. This long anticipated Walgreens finally opened last week. The new store features the same modern format as most of the newly renovated stores. Aisles are very organized and close to each other. They utilize the square footage wisely. I noticed an "Asian" shelf with the usual snacks (Strawberry Yan Yans, shrimp chips, etc). Service was polite during this visit, nothing special. Otherwise, its the same Walgreens you grew up with and know what to expect. Overall, a beautiful store and a great retail addition to American Canyon! read more

The 3rd star is simply for the convenient location and the redbox sitting outside. CVS in general tends to have better deals on meds. On this specific trip I noticed the MUCINEX was $4 more here than CVS. The place is quiet, but the snarky attitude of the staff when their equipment screwed up after my transaction was one button push away from done, leading to a delay of about 10 minutes to me, was the reason for this review. I would have given the staff 2 stars but the location is just too damned handy to do that to the branch as a whole. read more

This Walgreen's has made a loyal customer out of me. The employees are very friendly and helpful. One employee especially stands out and her name is Mina. She is such a sweet woman and after you leave her line, you can't help but leave the store smiling. :) Thank you Mina for all you do for your customers. I'm now a daily customer. Awful. Service here lacks. Only reason it got 2 was due to the location. We called, (mind you I actually spoke w someone there) to refill my sons Rx. They said an hour, I get there and they refuse to give me his Rx because the insurance isn't up to date. Wth, they couldn't tell me that before they refilled and gave me an eta? That's just. The people in the pharmacy department do well when something is in stock but if something needs to be approved by your doctor or it was sent in by your doctor don't wait to call them. You need to call these people to ensure that your prescription gets filled and if you are waiting for a doctors approval remind them so they don't forget to ensure that the dr gives approval. I've had several occasions where I have had to come back because the prescription has not been filled or I've had to call on numerous occasions because they did not get the doctors approval to refill the prescription and so has my husband. If I have ordered a prescription that in stock and I call in advance it's always ready when I get there. I actually gave two stars for those occasions and because there is one woman in the pharmacy department that always seems to remember my name and is just wonderfully nice! read more

This review is just about the service on the prescription drugs counter. I moved to American Canyon in November 0f 2011, few months after this pharmacy opened. For two years I used this pharmacy for the prescriptions drugs. For the first year, things ran smooth with the occasional not too courteous service. During the second year, service went bad, issues with prescriptions not been submitted correctly to my Health Insurance (Blue Cross/Blue Shield). Incredibly the fault was always either the Drs. office or health insurance fault. "Employees on this prescription counter never commit mistakes." Finally, I switched to the Target Pharmacy on Fairfield, all good until they sold to CVS, all the professional and respectful employees replaced by people that didn't know what they were doing. OK, I decided to give Walgreen's in American Canyon a second chance back in January 2016. I noticed most of the people from 2 years still working, so far so good. Then this past week they started with the bad habits again. Submitting a claim incorrectly, even when my Dr. called them over the phone and explained everything, what is the comment from my Dr. "These people are very disorganized, I do not feel they know what are they doing." Even when I talked to my health insurance and they informed me when and how they submitted my prescription with the wrong amount of grams. The pharmacy personnel keeps saying, first that my health insurance refused to approve the amount prescribed, second that it was the Doctor's office mistake, which they didn't pre-authorize the prescription and more nonsense. They didn't acknowledge any error on their part even when I informed them what my insurance said they did wrong. They finally processed the prescription correctly. When I went to pick it up and ask ROSE, "What happen, did you figure out what you did wrong?" Her answer: "I do not know, you have your prescription I already heard what you have to say" Well, you are at not getting off that easy with me. I kept questioning her because I do not want this to happen again. Again they keep blaming it in the Dr. or the health insurance. Put your act together; we are all human. If you commit a mistake, please acknowledge it, take responsibility and just say I am sorry. You lost me again Walgreen's in American Canyon. As soon as my three refills get fulfilled, I am out of there. I do not even trust you can transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Rose, please be respectful, listen and learn how to say I am sorry and thank you, it will help you in life. read more

This Walgreen's is awful. I expected more, since it is somewhat new and in a "nicer" part of town, but it just fails to impress. Somehow the store feels very jumbled together, I'm not sure why that is. Last time I went in the wait to pay was VERY long, and unlike basically every other Walgreen's, there was no dedicated cashier in the beauty section. Speaking of, this particular location has one of the worst beauty sections I have seen in a Walgreen's. In all honesty, both Vallejo locations have much better selection than this American Canyon store, and shorter lines as well. read more

Had great customer service on July 2nd by their manager Breto and another employee at the photo department. I went to Redwood st walgreens and was very disappointed I didn't get the help I needed of processimg my pics. Their photo screen is darker than what is on your camera. I did not want to edit 250 pics if not needed. I went to American Canyon ended up only had to correct the lightening of 15 pics with the help of their manager and he was very patient!!!! I normally love all the Walgreens employees here, but the older woman checking us out today on the main register was one of the most unfriendly/bitter women I have ever come across. She obviously hated her job and was in the wrong profession working with people. She was short and rude with me and my mother. My daughter wanted a Minnie Mouse chapstick that didn't have a price in the computer. Instead of apologizing and saying let me have one of my coworkers go check the price for you she looked at me like what do you want me to do?? So there I am 40 weeks pregnant standing there with my toddler and have to go find the product myself. I bring her back another chapstick to scan and again that one has no price. At this point I'm thinking well ask your manager or make up a price... it's chapstick for gosh sake! Instead she says I can't sell it to you. Well why is the product even on the floor then??!?! She was also rude to my mom about the ice we wanted to buy.....here's a tip lady... don't piss off an overly pregnant woman! What ever happened to quality customer service? read more

The pharmacy here is whack. I went to pick up my hubby's meds and they were short 5 days because they were out of stock ok fine. 25 days later my hubby phoned in for refill when I went to pick it up they said they couldn't fill the meds because it hasn't been 30 days and the lady there was very rude I argued w/ her saying that they still owed me 5 days of meds that I paid for and stated well we don't have it in stock. Again I was not happy because 25 days is plenty time to restock. This pharmacy never has the meds. I transferred pharmacy to CVS who never gives me any problems and when the hubby is completely out they give him extras to last a few days til they can get it filled. read more

This location has the worst customer service in their Pharmacy that I've ever experienced I go through the drive-thru to pick up my prescription it's not ready of course even though it was an hour or more since the doctor sent it over they tell me it's going to be another 30 or 40 minutes before it's ready then proceeded to kick me out of the drive-thru saying I couldn't wait there even though there was nobody else in line they told me I have to leave and come back at a different time sorry I'll never be back you just lost a customer because of your poor customer service read more

Okay so I had a very bad experience with a cashier woman named Cristina. First off this is my first time coming to this store. I called to see if they had any Pokémon so I can buy some for my kids. They said it was in the back of the store. So I thought hmmm maybe by the time I get there they can help me. I get there she says it hasn't be shelved yet. So I'm like okayyy!?? So I asked if she had any basketball cards sure she said just ONE. I was like okay. Came back 20 mins later cause I still needed to get Pokémon for the kids. As I walk in the store she says you was here EARLIER and my reply was yeaaa. Thinking to myself why does it concern her if I was here or not? Anyways so I said yes I was I just wanted to come by and ask when will you receive your Pokémon cards. She said later during the day so I'm like okay..Umm what time you think they will come in (so I don't have to come by and they aren't there so I don't waste gas). She replies with a nasty reply saying, " Oh I don't need to tell you that." Then decided to tell me 3-4pm. I'm thinking to myself like wow that was super rude! If I could I would rate this place a ZERO but unfortunately Yelp doesn't do that. I would never in my life go back to this Walgreens and by looking at the reviews they need a WHOLE new Walgreens TEAM. So the next morning I went back to walgreens the next day because I had ordered a set the night before . This is my go to Walgreens and pharmacy. I gave 4 starts because of a single encounter with a pharmacy tech named Rose. I had a painful sore throat and tried a new otc cough syrup that did nothing for my symptoms so I went back the following morning to return and exchange for my regular otc cough syrup that you have to purchase from the pharmacy counter and show id. So I walk up and tell Rose what's going on, simple and expecting a fast in and out (had 20 min to get to work) Rose immediately gives me a dissatisfying look and in a degrading tone tells me "I need to tell my manager why you are doing, I can't do this." I'm standing there like (ok how about telling me what the problem is...) so I'm standing there puzzled but in pain... she also seen me there to morning before purchasing the same returning item. So the manager comes and she is pretty much accusing me of knowing that this can't be returned and that she (Rose) can not return this with out a manager over ride... so the manager looks at her and tells her to do it. This mad her super angry and she starts making that "chick snip" lip noise and repeatedly says "Well that's on you, I am not getting in trouble for this.." I'm still standing right there and finally had enough or her actions. I say "I'm undoing something wrong?" Rose goes "We are not supposed to return this item." I said " Yea but your manager just said ok and you specifically told him you need a manager override." She repeated herself.... and that's when I told her " You know what is funny, you work at a pharmacy, you deal with sick people, HAVE SOME EMPATHY!" "You hear my voice, I am in pain, and You are making me feel like I am trying to scam your system?" "Have some empty Rose." And I left. I haven't used the inside pharmacy since that day.... it took 1 yr for me to go use heir pharmacy again and if I ever get Rose again I'll just smile... because you never know what someone is going through. And I refuse to have a negative person effect they way I choose to treat people. I choose to be extra nice the next time If ever I see her... just saying! read more

This review is just for the pharmacy itself, not the retail side. My dad has been coming here for four years now and has no problems in the past as far as picking medication or refills. Lately, however, the last three times he's had to pick up meds, he has experienced the worst, most unprofessional and rudest bunch of pharmacists, pharmacy techs, or whatever you call those people behind the counter. Not only were they unorganized, they lack compassion towards people who really need their medication. They are not helpful and don't take accountability for their mistakes. Twice they sent my dad to pick up medication that wasn't even available (no offer to call another walgreens in the area) and the worst encounter was when they disbursed the wrong medication and then blamed it on him. This Walgreens pharmacy hires incompetent people.They are very slow, often make mistakes, have an attitude at work, do not smile or respect customers. Always have to go two or three times to get the right prescription. The phone system does not work effectively. Errors repeated time and again. The counter smells. The supervisor does not care. I'm a diabetic. I've never had a problem with any other pharmacy but this location of this pharmacy. I'm a self pay patient. I don't get anything free or discounted from the government! I bought a Walgreens pharmacy discount card for $20 in Dec. 2014 that is supposed to last for 12 months. I always take the card with me to the pharmacy and I ALWAYS HAVE TO ARGUE WITH THE PHARMACY TECHS BECAUSE THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME FULL PRICE INSTEAD OF A DISCOUNTED PRICE EVEN WHEN I HAND THEM THE DISCOUNT CARD. I bought the card in the first place because the price of a bottle of insulin has gone up every month since at least 2011 when I became self pay. It was $25 a bottle in 2011 and is $104 plus change in 2015. Please save yourself a lot of headaches and go to ANY other pharmacy in Am Can or Napa or Vallejo but AVOID THIS ONE!!! read more

Overall, great place for quick pick-ups of odds and ends. But funny story. Maybe don't get your passport photo taken here. I've already had past problems with getting proper service in the photo department. But I decided I needed a passport photo here. Finally had service after a substantial wait. Elder woman had a slower pace than my tempo, but I was patient. I helped her find her supplys, etc. She finally found a cheapo camera and had me stand against the wall. She was also short in stature so in order to get a descent photo i had to hold a wall squat...for 4-5 takes, lol I swear I was starting to sweat already and cheeks getting rosey, lol Then we had to figure out the computer, where to stick in the SD card, upload, etc. Pick-up in an hour. I think I was there for an hour already, lol. Oh well, that's life. As far as the photo's, they were quickly processed and were just okay. I didn't care much since I don't flash my passport often. Price was pretty cheap and reasonable. My patience tested, experience...priceless =) read more

I consistently experience pricing issues at this store. Frequently, the pricing posted does not reflect the pricing in the weekly ad. In January, April, May, July and this month I did not receive the discount (or points) with the product coupon or my Walgreens rewards card. I attempted to voice my concerns to one of the main supervisors, Mr. Lehan, but doesn't want to hear of issuess. He is argumentative and extremely rude. Yes, the store is squeaky clean and located in a great area, but it does lack customer service. at 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday I was the only customer for 10 minutes in this highly-visible store. read more

A well organized walgreens close to my house. They have cheaper 2% milk here than safeway. i heard a few complaints involving their photos in the photo department. You can find reasonable prices and sales on food. They have a small variety of toys here and you can find the Mcfarlane halo action figures here. This place been there for me since, my headphones were broken one day and i came here to find a replacement, and got myself a good sony headphones here. read more

I got an emergency supply of my blood pressure meds today after being treated very badly at the redwood store by a so called pharmacist who absolutely refused to help me and even made me even sicker by driving my blood pressure up even higher. i drove out feeling like I was about to pass out and came to AmCam and got help. i was helped by a very nice lady who said she was new and I didnt get her name but I hope somebody from corporate reads this because she really did help me to be well as their slogan reads and I wanted to say thank you! If an item is mislabeled for a lower price the customer should get the lower price especially if there's 10 items in that spot all mislabled. Instead I had to pay a higher price. That's okay Walgreens you lost a customer over your shitty policies. read more
