This is a review for the retail, not the pharmacy. I stand by my previous review of this location. I now live around the corner from this Walgreens and it's basically our neighborhood grocery store. Lemme tell you, it's HORRIBLE compared to other Walgreens. The layout- awful. The selection- awful. And trying to get in and out the parking lot at Anchorage's most busiest intersection is AWFUL. I WOULD NOT go here if I had an alternative, I only go here because I can walk. But they don't even have a good selection of snacks or food when you're sick. Blah. read more

Whoever the male was who answered the phone at the Lake Otis and Tudor PHARMACY, on 5/5/25 @1057 today, was the most unprofessional, rude, and inpatient person I've ever dealt with in 50 years! He cut me off every time I spoke, told me my medication was not $1.53, as quoted by other Walgreens store, and that, "insurance NEVER covers Benzonatate, and hasn't as long as he's worked there!" Well, guess what, YOU WERE wrong. It did cost $1.53 after insurance! He would not even check with my new insurance card and info I had. This behavior is unexceptable. You don't tell a customer they can't have your name or be transferred to a manager, and then hang up on them! I hope you didn't choke on your pride, Sir, when you saw you were wrong! All that attitude and rudeness, and "no it all," attitude, and you were wrong and out of line. I hope you learned a valuable lesson today and learned to use your ears to listen more. I don't know why but I never shop at Walgreens - it just doesn't cross my mind as a place to grab things. Anyways, I saw online they were running a special on 12 packs of soda - I ordered for curbside pick up. Upon arriving I called to let them know I was outside. 12+ minutes later no one came out, so I went and waiting in the check out line and let the lady know I was here to pick up. My order was incorrect and I asked to return a few items - the check out lady informed me "you cannot return online purchases". This makes zero sense, she called over the store manager who also was not sure how to return an online purchase. Long story short, after roughly 30 minutes they were able to figure out how to do an online return. Staff was semi-friendly, but not knowledge on things. read more

I don't know what this pharmacy was thinking when they posted these hours. Personally, I think it's very selfish and inconvenient. There are people who work up to and past 5:00 and can only get their prescriptions on weekends. I know you guys are tired, want to go home and go night-night, but we all work day jobs like you and all get through the day. Just because you're open 7 days a week doesn't mean you're going to work all 7 days. You will get your 2 days off, it just won't always be Saturday and Sunday. Get it together read more

Walgreens - The new hours for this pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Anchorage, Alaska

I don't really have a problem with the store or anything. The issue I am having is that they are always closed. They are closed early more than half of the days I try to shop here. This has been going on for months on end. I literally have anxiety because I never know if I am walking there to walk back or walking there to buy what I need. The only thing I buy is basically food and water. It's happened to many times to count I have walked away hungry and thirsty because no one's in there during the posted business hours. If your going to be the only place to buy groceries in entire neighborhoods the least you can do is stay open during the hours that you advertise. If you don't have enough employees for second shift send someone down here to find out why or start paying these people enough money that they want to work. read more

Walgreens pharmacist on Lake Otis would not fill my prescription because she didn't agree with it. I have friends who've had the same illness are were treated with that drug and recovered quickly Apparently this pharmacist , Whitney I believe , thinks she is medical doctor or at least thinks she is smarter than them The pharmacists role is to provide drugs that cure people. NEVER USE WALGREENS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY. I made an appointment for a vaccination, showed up early, waited in line, and then was told that they don't have that vaccine. The pharmacist told me that they don't check to see if they have a vaccine before making the appointment. This happened to me at a different Walgreens a couple of years ago also. In that case they never carried the vaccine at all, but still gave me a reservation to get it. I swore that I would never go a Walgreens again. Then I forgot how bad they were and did it again. I don't recommend going to any Walgreens for any reason because they are untrustworthy. It is obviously a ploy to get you into the store in hopes that you will buy something, even though they have wasted your time. read more

Came to check out the holiday selection. Mostly stocked shelves. Prices are a bit high but they have unique items you can't find at freddys or Walmart that I've seen. Like a gift box wrapped super gummy, $4, "you have a pizza my heart" a 3" pizza gummy in a cute box for 4$ is a lot but unique lol I got a cute glass snowman that lights up and a metal gift that lights up buy 1 get 1 50% off when you have myWalgreens, which was different than the rewards points. So now I have both. Employees were friendly and they had more cashiers when there's more than two people in line. I always check the pez stash as well even though again they mark things way up but maybe they know you can't find everything at other stores. read more

I came down here on a whim after several failed attempts to find any sanitizing products at several of the big box stores and supermarkets. This Walgreens is located on the corner of Lake Otis and Tudor across from Golden Donuts, one of the busiest intersections in town during rush hour. I had visited this store a couple of weeks ago prior to the work at home order that our office was given before all the non-essential businesses had temporarily shut down. I always felt the urgency of buying groceries when supplies are running low, but this was an entirely new experience for me and not the good kind. After dealing with crowds after work and coming up empty on every visit to other retailers, I decided to try this store to minimize contact with large groups of people and on the off-chance that this place may have been forgotten in the shopping panic. My gamble paid off. I found a couple of badly needed sanitizing products that were so elusive at other places and that some customers hoarded without giving a thought to others who also need them during this stressful time. read more

Just have to give a shout out to this Walgreens. My daughter sent me a text and image of something she needed at a Walgreens so I drove to the one closest to me. I thought "Oh Boy" this is going to be a challenge to find this in a store I've never been to. So I parked, walked in, and asked the young lady at the counter if she could point me in the right direction. To my surprised she led me to the section she thought it would be in and then helped me find it. Then she accomplished me to the counter and helped me the $15 e-coupon! I'm always a fan of walgreens. This is your typical walgreens, nothing to complain about besides getting in here. Only reason for the four stars. it is on a busy corner....you can only get out one way and if your not turning right, you have to fight the traffic to turn left to head to the stoplight. Never send your mail here to be picked up. Had a $400.00 package to be picked up from here and was told from jump that I must have the wrong place or be mistaken. They were suspicious of me as soon as I walked in because I was browsing for a drink before I picked up my package. The male Arabic looking employee followed me around and then denied having my package without even checking for it. I even provided ID. Manager came and finally gave me my package. Terrible experience. Please train your employees on how to interact with customers. read more

Been here a few times. I will say this place is really slow on medication refills and pick-up, but the customer service people always seem pleasant and the store is clean. I don't come here too often because everything is like a dollar more expensive for candy or juice. It's a handy alternative when necessary. read more

BEWARE! They made an error filling an inhaler prescription for me they did not include the spacer I called back three times on hold at least 10 minutes each time to only be disconnected at the end. I have Covid it is critical that I am able to use my inhaler I spoke with an associate I spoke with management and it was just too bad. I cannot leave the house because of Covid. This is not the first time I have had issues with this location. They do not own up to their mistakes. read more

I switched all my families prescriptions to this pharmacy. The level of service that I have gotten recently is far better than what I have experienced at other stores in town. read more

I like this Walmart. I find it easy to get and out of the parking lot. If you are going east, you may have to drive through a subdivision to the light near Subway. I like to park away from the doors as parking near the door and the 90 degree corner invites insurance fraud drivers while you are backing out. The customer service is good. They have a military discount if you have the right id. That id discount is good any time. They have good sales after a holiday. I have received several shots at the pharmacy and all has went well. Yes, I like to shop here and will continue. read more
