Walgreens portrays themselves "The corner of happy and healthy" but it is anything but. At least that is true for
1. The store located at 2501 Hendersonville Road, Arden NC 28704
2. The corporate complaint website and telephone number.
The store: In the midst of the coronavirus scare, my husband and I went to our local Walgreens this morning. It is very very clear that staff is not trained and the store is not exercising any type of "healthy" approach to preventing the virus from spreading - other than a sign poorly taped on the floor indicating social distancing. There us no hand sanitizer or disinfectant at the front of the store for people to use prior to touch carts or baskets. I understand being out on the shelves - but I don't at the front of the store for people to reduce the risk of spreading germs. In fact - every store near us has this even our local Lowes has this along with a sign indicating that they have disinfected carts. Not Walgreens. I am actually not bothered that when the "I see three" was activated it took forever for anyone to come. I am greatly bothered that the cashier was not trained regarding the virus. Rather than using the hand gun scanner to ring up the products and just let me bag them myself, he touched each product multiple times before putting them in the bag and then insisted on handing the bag to me. It makes not sense. The cashier also did not have any type of hand sanitizer or disinfectant at his station. All store in our area visibly have these things available to the cashier. Very disappointing the a compnay that wants to project a healthy image is falling so short. We won;t shop at Walgreens again. Our local cvs has good practices and a self check-out. I will let our friends know. Lesson learned.
Trying to share this concern with you - this was my experience.
a. Using this page to "voice" my complaint i find it funny that the word Walgreens isn't recognized by your own spell check. Oh well - on this page and one other for complaints... the store locator button puts the user in a black hole. When selecting your store, it takes you to the local store info and no way to indicate that this is the store you are complaining about. You are unable to use this button to indicate the store. The user has to back out and start all over again. I should know I did it four times. Clearly no one has actually tested your own system. That is when I tried calling.
b. I called the customer complaint number. What a disaster. Do you think someone filing a complaint wants to use an automated system? Nothings says "we don't care about our customers concerns" more than that. The automated system does not seem to recognize simple words. I am an English speaking american who grew up in the Midwest. If it doesn't recognize my words - then who on earth does it recognize? I used the word "complaint" (alone and not in a sentence) thinking it would direct me to the appropriate area and the first time it asked me if I said the word orange and the second time it asked me if I was saying the word almond. Wow - not even close. Big fail. I can't wait to see what type of standard e-mail I will get after this. I am sure it will be automated, cold and impersonal. Perhaps it will even ask me about almonds.
I and very disappointed. Walgreens has to make a much better effort to keep their customers happy and healthy! You are a major chain. Shame on you. read more
