The store part itself is neat, clean and looks alright, though it takes awhile to check out sometimes; The Pharmacy had a young woman at the drive through that looked like they had too many energy drinks or were on drugs, even to the mannerisms, or maybe had them the night before or so They also lost a prescription and then provided a big hassle about that fact; Rough experience ; Other times, it was helpful otherwise it would have received zero if possible; there were a few other instances, but you just don't lose prescriptions in electronic systems then lie about it; period; If I go back and if it improves, I'll update the review; It's the staff read more

Had an appointment for a booster shot tonight. I arrived early for my appointment and waited in the check-in line for 15 minutes while I heard the two girls behind the counter arguing with and basically shouting at the customers in line about being behind schedule. When I was next in line, they told the couple in front of me that they were two hours behind. I waited my turn and asked if they were able to honor my appointment that I had made a month ago. And the girl said "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?!" I just said "I just want you to cross my name off the appointment list" and left. Unreal experience, and the average review score of this place is a bit too generous at 2 stars. The staff was incredibly unprofessional and rude. I get that they can't control being short staffed, but calmly explaining that rather than yelling at people who have appointments seems like it would be a better method. read more

I have been using the Walgreens at New Airport Road for about 3 years now. Their service has usually really slow but recently had an incident that I have to report on: I have a prescription for an expensive life impacting medicine that I normally has filled 30 days at a time. Evidently, my cost for 30 days and 90 was the same, but I was expecting a 30 day supply and when I got home, I got as expected, a single bottle containing 30 pills, so it seemed fine to me. However, when I tried to do a refill, it was denied as the message was that I wasn't due to get a refill for over a month. Walgreens insisted that they filled a 90 day supply and I noticed that they had written in pen on the bottle 90 days. I asked the manager to review the video to double check the tapes to see that they made a mistake and he said he verified that they gave me 90. He then asked what color bottle was that I got and if it was orange. Well, obviously, he hadn't reviewed the tape and was lying to me. I next contacted the regional manager of Walgreens and after two days, he called back and told me that he verified the video. I asked him directly if he personally viewed the video, and I got him to admit that he didn't. Obviously covering for the pharmacy manager at the Auburn store. They are awful! Many of the employees here are kind and helpful, but it doesn't make up for the few that are beyond rude and shouldn't be working around people in any way. The pharmacy here is always a mess and they never seem to be capable of performing the simplest necessary tasks. Rhe government changed the policies for dispensing opiate pain medication and not all doctors have the correct prescription pads. With this in mind I went in on Friday, the pharmacist promised that they would call my doctor and have my prescription filled by the next day. On Saturday I go in and they tell me that they never called my doctor so they qont give me my prescription. I am out of my medicine at this point and have severe chronic pain. While I was discussing this with the pharmacist and employee named Kelcey, a horrible young woman, snidely told me to go to the ER as she walked past us. I asked her just how ignorant of the rules she was since ERs will not dispense opiates any longer. She turned around and almost jumped over the counter to hit me. The pharmacist had to hold her back and apologize to me for her behavior. I called corporate and filed a complaint and seriously hope that she gets fired. Not only did she violate my privacy, she was rude, threatening, and no one like that should work in customer service. Especially not in a place where people are trying to alleviate others' suffering. I did some shopping yesterday...November 1st at Walgreens on New Airport Road. The gentleman that greeted me as I walked in was so pleasant and asked me if I needed any help finding anything. I*t was such a pleasure to have some acknowledge you. When I checked out he was so friendly and nice. It was a pleasure shopping there and to know that they hire such great people to work there. If it wasn't for the actual pharmacist there I wouldn't give them 1 Star. Every time I call to check on a prescription I get this slow witted kid that answers they cant do anything but just say it's going to be a few hours. He sounds so unprofessional like he is in the back room eating paste and writing scripts with crayons. I have know clue on how he is even there and it scares me to find out what his job actually is or if he is actually handling any meds. I have always been fair and polite when asking questions and he will get instantly argumentative. I never want to wish someone to loose their job but I may switch because of this and I'm sure I am not the only one that has this problem. read more

The pharmacist was completely rude! My employer had made a 1100 AM for me. I arrived on time and waited 40 minutes to see the pharmacist. She told me that my employer had never made an appt even though the tech acknowledged the appt when I got there at 1100. She started yelling and screaming at me that there was no appt, even though the tech had found the appt in their computer. She wanted me to wait another 90 minutes! It was just for a simple shot...lame They were moderately busy but there is no reason to behave like that. read more

I gave them 5 stars because of the customer service! They are the only drive through pharmacy around which is vital for a mom of 4. However, it is not any faster in the drive through, you still have to wait your turn and pharmacies that are accurate and careful you get the care you need, take a little longer. Worth the wait in price as well. I'm not a fan of the Walgreen photo center, it's the standard fast print. Not as clear but if you need something quick its easy to order online or via app. App works well for pharmacy too. I have even had help in their makeup department above and beyond. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. The store is fine, the pharmacy is the WORST. The pharmacy staff are not the least bit friendly or helpful. It doesn't matter what time of day or if you are picking up or dropping off, plan on waiting in line at least 20+ minutes, even if only one person is ahead of you. It also doesn't matter how many people are working. I just spent 26 minutes in line to drop off a prescription and only one person was in line ahead of me. The clerk had a customer at the counter the whole time...yes the same customer. After being in line for over 20 minutes he called for additional help. Several minutes later someone showed up. By the time I left there were 3 people behind me and the same customer was still at the counter. I have been to the Roseville and Lincoln Walgreens pharmacies and the service is great, and the wait time is very short regardless if you're picking up or dropping off or what time you are there. Same some time and aggravation.....Avoid this pharmacy if you can. read more

100% opposite of previous review, I had those same issues at a different Pharmacy (Kmart in Grass Valley, two thumbs down) Icontacted my doctor to have my perscription sent to wallgreens, faxed my insurance info to wallgreens.I went in four hours later, no line, to find my Doctor had not sent in my perscription. The pharmasist stoped, called Kmart to get my perscription form them, prcessaed my insurance information and filled my perscription. Having never been there before was gone within 25 minutes. - STORE AREA is totally fine - I have no complaints there and the reason for a 2 star is the pharmacy dragging down the rest of the store, not the other way around. - Pharmacy - there seems to always be an issue of one kind or another here, and they seem to be chronically understaffed? I moved my Rx's to their mail-order service months ago to avoid the pharmacy and was relatively happy w that service, but recently my insurance stopped covering that service so I was forced to go back, and remembered why I changed in the first place. First experience back: drive-thru - have two prescriptions ready to pick-up but can't do so because one is marked for a mandatory pharmacist review (which consists of the pharmacist asking me if I have any questions), even though I have had the prescription before. As bad luck would have it, the pharmacist is giving a vaccination shot and so after waiting for 10 minutes I just pick up the prescription that I can get now. Second experience: I have one Rx and my dog has another, both are filled and ready to be paid for. I have a Walgreens Savings card for my dog, which I have used in the past to cut my Rx price in ~half. Apparently my dog's Rx refill was put under a new patient profile and not linked to his Savings card - price is twice as high as it should be - explain.. 20 min process as other people are trying to get their stuff too. Get Rx put under right profile, but then can't bill it through the savings club because they don't have the vets NPI number.. eventually, as w first experience, leave in a rage w only one of the two prescriptions I came to get, even though both are there ready to go. If you enjoy mindless frustrations and wasting of your time - you have found the right place my friends! Try their mail order if you can, a much more pleasant experience. read more

I would give the pharmacy zero stars if I could! When I was getting a prescription filled for a friend, after waiting for 10 minutes (with NOBODY ELSE in line for the one pharmacy tech to even take the prescription), then to be told that it would take 1-1/2 to 2 hours to be filled, after two hours of waiting, to wait another 15 minutes in line (with only one person ahead of me), then to STILL NOT have it ready after NEARLY 3 HOURS is completely unacceptable! AVOID THIS PHARMACY if you need your medication in a reasonable timeframe!!!! read more

I find Walgreen's weekly ad specials misleading because their "2 for sales" means you have to buy 2 in order to get the sale price. They have the single item price which is more than 50% in small print. For example: A sale item advertised 2 for $4 has a single item price of $2.99. Why not $2? Many times I don't need 2 of the items - I only need one. I don't shop much at Walgreen's anymore for this reason. Your competitors will have the same items on sale for the same price and I get the sale price if I only purchase one. read more

I saw deodorant on the shelf for 1.99. At register it was 2.99. When I complained she immediately reduced it AFTER me registering and identifying myself for the supreme profile data base. This is why we still must deal with those "rewards" "we love you" "secret membership" cards. The hope is you will forget to present the card. The CEO hears "Ka-ching, ka-ching". Back when the customer had some clout, they made those cards go away, especially in the supermarket chains. Safeway, the perennial crime syndicate that shamelessly uses tricks and resists showing you at register what you're paying, still requires them. This is a first for just making you pay the absurd price without asking for the card. The cards are obnoxious/offensive enough without the "safety net" of reminding the customer to present it (and maximizing profit). I have bone cancer and have had two debilitating surgeries that have left me with chronic pain. I use a narcotic pain medication at night to be able to sleep through the pain. Guess what, I use my medication responsibly and I'm not addicted to it (because I actually need it). Recently, I lost my insurance and will have to pay out of pocket for my pain medication. I found a discount program called GoodRX that helps folks pay for their prescriptions. Walgreens refuses to honor programs like GoodRX that help people on pain medication pay for their prrscription. "It's a coporate policy" I was told, because "it's a drug people abuse". So, Walgreens, what you're telling cancer patients and folks suffering from debilitating sugical pain is that, because low class, low educated losers out there choose to abuse a pain medication, you won't help folks who are legitimately suffering with the worst of conditions to afford their prescription. Well, we need to tell the alcohol companies this. Because someone somewhere abuses alcohol, there should be nothing made available for the people who don't abuse it and drink responsibly. Afterall, it's best to gear everything so the stupidest of our society can thrive, right? Google and read up. Over 70% of drug overdoses on narcotic pain medications are your run of the mill drug addict who steals it or buys on the street corner. It's not patients with actual medical conditions and prescriptions causing the problem. Well guess what Walgreens, other pharmacies do care about helping a legitimate patient afford their medication. Thank you Wal Mart! Oh, and f@*#! you idiots out there that abuse prescription drugs.
