You walk into what's essentially a throwback small town version of a cvs or Walgreens with some souvenir stuff, snacks and Knick knacks. In the very back they have an active and working pharmacy. In the other corner you have a 50s style throwback diner that pumps out burgers, dogs, root beer floats and ice cream cones all with counter top seating and couple table booths. Me and my family along with our friends family was in Bardstown for a mini day trip. Our party of 9 decided to grab a quick bite as we heard good things about this little diner. We placed our order and set on the counter top stools. We sampled the menu pretty good. Got everything. From burgers, chicken sandwiches , grilled cheese, chili cheese dogs, Ice cream floats, milkshakes and ice cream. Now unfortunately, our fun trip was struck short by a family tragedy. Right as my chili cheese dog and root beer float arrived my wife received a phone call informing her that her father passed away. The patrons and workers here (small place so no hiding anything) took notice of what was Happening and before she could get off the phone they was placing our food in to go boxes and cups and some super generous and gracious woman already paid for our bill and told us to get on our way as soon as possible so my wife could be with her mom and brothers. Everyone here was super kind and despite the devastating news it gave us some solace that there still was genuine good and caring people in this world. Because of this even If the food and pricing here was not good (which it was all very good and cheap from what we got to try) I was giving this place a 5 star. I scarfed my chili cheese dog down in like one bite while running out the door. That one bite was very tasty and my wife took two bites of her burger before the call and she said it was very good. We absolutely will come back. And I know it's a long shot (bardstown is a small town with little yelp representation) but if the lady who sprung into action before we could even think about it reads this we truly thank you (I wish I would of been of present mind to get an address or something to send a thank you card). Also a huge thanks to that staff who moved and acted quickly to get us on our way so we could be with the family. Truly left a lasting and positive impression that we will be eternally grateful for.

Then argued with me about how many pills I received. Approximately 4 months ago, my wife went to fill her prescription and was told they could not fill the order. The doctor suggested an alternate medication, and the pharmacy told her they couldn't provide it even though it was in stock because they would "lose money" if they filled it. They never have anything in stock, and they don't make any special effort to fix that. I refill the same prescriptions every month and they are consistently out of stock. Maybe place an order if you know a customer has recurring refill. We switched to this place to try to patronize a local small business, but I'd rather utilize a chain then spend 5 hours a week arguing with them. STAY AWAY!!!

I knew Scripts Pharmacy was the perfect fit for me. Very conveniently located in Coxs Creek, on 245, next to Hometown Pizza. I immediately felt like part of the family, not just a patient or customer. Allison, the owner/ Pharmacist and Courtney, the pharmacy tech, were very welcoming and extremely helpful during my transition from another Pharmacy. They responded to my phone calls very quickly. They were very responsive to my prescription orders, as they were sent from my physician office. They ordered special things for me, so they are available when fill dates come up. If you are looking for a new pharmacy or just starting on a medicine for the first time. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND switching to or starting your pharmacy relationship with this family owned and operated pharmacy before any other large corporation chain. They have OTC supplements, and a variety of other products. They also sell wine and liquor, with a very good selection of Bourbon. (We are in the Bourbon capital, after all) THEY ARE ON TOP OF IT! I have visited Gould's for a variety of reasons over the course of years. Each time I drop by to…read morelook for something I forget just how poorly run it seems to be. Service is soooo slow and one hand just does not seem to know what the other is doing. When I ask for help it just seems like I am imposing. It may be possible that they have always run the place with a short staff and they are just spread too thin to be effective at helping customers, I am unsure. But I would only go there if it was the last option. I am very easy to please and get along with so I am sorry for the negativity, but it is the truth about my experiences there.

Be careful if purchasing items that appear to have been opened, many times the returned item is incomplete or broken. The store does not do a good job vetting returns an often puts sub-standard products back on the shelf.

Not even going to give them one star. Pharmacist was belligerent and very rude to my wife…read more pharmacist kept asking medical personal questions that are between me my doctor. Their job is to fill the prescription given by a licensed doctor. NOT pushing for my actual diagnosis or medical care and threatening to NOT FILL my prescription unless my wife answered how i was injured, if i had surgery, and was under a doctors care?!! what the heck.. if i wasn't under a doctors care, i wouldn't have the prescription!! Pretty sure that is protected under HIPPA.
