Came in Friday in person to ask the Pharmacy if they could fill an Rx by Monday. Very nice lady told me they could. I come in Monday after calling to check (nobody ever answers phone). Prescription has not been filled. I am told they would have to order it and had no idea how long it will take to show up. I am out if meds. Pharmacist older dude with black hair gets gets bitchy that nobody call tell me if they can fill it any time soon. ARE YOU SERIOUS? You can't check to see when you can get it? This is such incredible bs. I would never have had the Rx called into this location if I thought you couldn't fill it. I worked in a pharmacy for Christ sake. You can look in a bottle and see how many pills are in it to know if you can fill something. Come ON! read more

This Walgreens is one of the worse..They barely answer a phone in the Pharmacy. They have extremely long lines. I cant even begin to count how many products are locked up...Trying to find an associate with a phone is a chore within itself...They really need to do better!!!! read more

I stopped in last week to drop off a FedEx package. I waited in line and the employee behind the counter was professional and courteous. He answered my questions regarding the drop off and then I was on my way. He asked me if i wanted the reference via text or email as well. It was quick and easy. Called the pharmacy for the status of my new prescription today. Automated telephone system acknowledged receiving my prescription and indicated that it will be ready after 7:15 pm for pickup. Upon arriving there at 7:05 pm, I found the the pharmacy had already closed at 7 pm... what happened? The pharmacy should update their automated answering system. I could have gone there earlier. I needed this medication and that was why I called in the first place... hence the 2 star rating read more

If this is how they treat their Customers, I'll gladly go somewhere else, the Women here look like they're half asleep, and they catch an attitude if you ask for help, none of them want to help, so why are they're working there??!! We can start with the notion that Walgreens is a perfect representation of the failure of Reagan's America. Conglomeration of pharmacies is a disaster, but only for those who need medication. Had to pickup daughter's prescription at Walgreens (I am required to use Walgreens). Confirmed last night that prescription was available. They said yes. Get to Walgreens this morning and it is closed with a phone number to call. The prescription is at another location. I get there and I am told I must wait outside because only ten people are allowed in the store at any one time. I stand with a group of people who clearly don't know about social distancing. When I get inside it is clear that the employees are not practicing safe social distancing. There are signs everywhere about keeping distance and tape on the floors, all being ignored. I get the package and am told to answer the questions on the filthy dirty touch screen that every sick person in front of me just touched. I said no, that it makes to sense to have customers touch that screen. He answered the questions. I got the mile-long receipt I didn't want and left. Walgreens is not closing stores for safety. They are closing stores because of profitability. If they cared about anyone's safety they would be managing the open stores in a more effective manner. Amazing to watch American capitalism fail so dramatically during these trying times. read more

I'm a regular at this Walgreens but recently it's been out of control here. I've grown to build a relationship with the staff and they're so mistreated it's ridiculous. There's lines going back down aisles because of how understaffed they are. I'm sure corporate is aware that the Walgreens on 61st St. has closed down and all the customers will be migrating to this location however there hasn't been sympathy towards the employees with extra bodies to assist with the customer flow. read more

There was a mute disabled lady who appears to be a regular at this place because the workers know who she is. She tried to be slick and cut the line at checkout, thinking its ok because of her condition. None of the workers were courageous enough to tell her to wait on line like any other customers. Life must not be that rough if you can function well enough to cut lines. No backbone from any of the workers. read more

You can ALWAYS expect a long line staffed by one person who is moving at a snail pace. Then you have other employees are slowly moving around store (not sure what they are doing). This is a management problem, from hiring to managing and firing. I was there last week waited in line while this dude was super slow and obnoxious (getting distracted by everything). Put my items on the counter and put the basket on the floor and instead of getting the line moving he asked me to pick up the basket or put it back or something. I just stared at him until he started to ring up the items. Do your freaking job. read more

I've always loved Walgreens, and I rarely see them, and when I found out that there would be one opening soon around my house, I was extremely excited. Compared to CVS and Riteaid in my local neighboorhood, I despise the workers here. Couple of weeks ago, I went to develop my film pictures, a lady who was trying to print out her wedding photos had a arguement with the assitant managers (two was working at that time). They had no idea why the photo developer (who was at lunch break) didn't print out the pictures, although it should've been 3 hours ago. They claimed that it was copy righted (since it was a photographer who took it for the lady) and cannot be printed. However, it was her wedding photos! She was extremely upset, trying to hold her tears. While that incident was occurring, one of the assistant manager, who was behind the counter, supposedly a cashier was suppose to assist me. She stood there, chewing obnoxiously with gum in her mouth, listening into the conversation and not noticing me who's right in front of her. It took her 15 minutes until she decides to login to the cashier, and realize... get ready for this, she doesn't know how to. An assistant manager that doesn't know how to login to the cashier to develop film for me. I just wanted to fire her, finally a worker came back from lunch break and help me develop it asap, took her 3 minutes while that dumb assistant manager wasted 20 minutes of my time. I still go there, because it's not that products aren't good, the workers are just plain bad. Every time I see that assistant manager, she looks at me funny still chewing her gum, too bad lady, I don't like you either and if I could get you fired, I would. read more

Props for this pharmacy being closer to me than CVS. Also, Walgreens does stay open late. When I'm in the city I really like Walgreens because it's open 24/7. If this one was opened 24/7, I would love it even more! Everytime I come to this Walgreens, I feel claustrophobic. I feel the aisles are closing in on me for some reason. Maybe it's just me? I guess I'm used to pharmacies being bigger and more spacious. Another thing I like about this Walgreens is that it's never packed. 18th Avenue in Bensonhurst has three pharmacies within the span of 10 blocks. There's the Rita Aid, the CVS and now the Walgreens. Out of the 3, I love going to Walgreens to pick up snacks for movie night. They have a huge selection and it's pretty well stocked. They actually have people answering the phones, and there was one time I asked them specifically for a water sound machine, and they took time out of their schedule to assist me and telling me if they have it in stock. Not only that, they told me the price and asked me if I wanted them to hold it for me so it would be by the register by the time I get to them. I have ordered same day canvas printing pick up in this store. It is a gift for my grandparents for their 50th marriage anniversary. I check the order status online for 2 days and it was not ready. So I called the store on day 3. The female assistant manager(should have ask for her name!!) is rude and didn't seem to care and said they have a problem with the machine, I have to wait another 3-4 days. I didn't not receive any email about it nor voice message. And the anniversary is tomorrow. HORRIBLE! They don't give a fuck, didn't try to help! read more

Average Walgreens with better service than others that i have been to...One gripe i have had, but i am not going to dig the store for is that I asked a store attendants on three occasions and all three times they never stocked the soda i specified that i like to drink (diet root beer, this store is one of few that carry it), i am giving them (store) truly 5 stars, however employees are brainless idiots in all big box stores....anyone with a real brain wouldn't work in these places for too long...maybe one day someone in corporate will notice when a computer system will say why that store is not selling much of a particular item,and then the shelf will get stocked until then VIVA LA WALLGREENBURGER!! read more
