I needed a RX transferred from a Wags in another state. I called and the woman I spoke with was so helpful, efficient, and courteous. She confirmed they had only enough medication for a partial fill but could get the remainder 1-2 days later (my local Wags only gives broad, vague estimates). When I picked up the RX, I saw only 2 women working the pharmacy, both busy, but another friendly, efficienct transaction. Next day I picked up the remainer, yet another positive experience. Went inside the store this time and noticed the it was clean, shelves were neatly stocked and in-store employees were friendly as well. 3/3 A+ Wish my local Wags was like this one. read more

I went to this store to pick up my prescription on Saturday morning only to find the pharmacy was closed. When I asked a store employee what happened, they said the pharmacy was short staffed and that was why it was closed. Given that the pharmacy is normally closed on Sunday, I see this as a huge issue for many customers. I hate speculate, but a beautiful sunny summer day and no pharmacy employees are available, sure. This is unacceptable and a poor management situation that needs to be addressed. read more

Well what can you say, it's Walgreens and when you are out of state and you need something; where else do you go? It always seems like there is a Walgreens near every hotel I stay at. Bottom line they have all you need and even the things you didn't think you needed. Glad it was close to where I stayed. read more

A couple of years ago, I left a very positive review for Walgreens in Chelmsford. There were two women associates that were very helpful and I wanted to recognize them. Today I am very unhappy with Walgreens in Chelmsford. I called the Pharmacy a few times to get my prescription filled and I was dismissed by the Pharmacy aid a couple of times. I had to call my doctor three times. The script was there but, he couldn't be bothered to help. I finally got the Pharmacist who was able to help. I wanted an apology from this rude young man but, they said he was on break. I had to call the insurance company anyway so, I waited. The manager came and told me that I had to leave and that she was calling the police. I asked why as I had not done anything wrong. I was still waiting on hold for my insurance company. The police came and told me that I had to leave! Why? Because I wanted an apology and I was waiting to talk to my insurance company? Not only was that young man rude and dismissive but, the manager is ridiculous! Really? The police? Be careful when you go there, they might call the police if you ask for an apology or call your insurance company. read more

I just moved here from practically across the country and needed to switch a prescription over to this pharmacy, which is the first time I've had to do that. The lady at the pharmacy was extremely kind and helpful, and when she ran into a problem with my insurance she worked until she found a solution. I read reviews for other pharmacies in the region and decided to come here, and I'm glad I did. It made the moving experience less stressful! read more

CVS has been replacing main line brands with their own. I use earplugs to block out the snores of my husband. CVS introduced an in store brand that are terrible. Walgreens still carries what I have used for years. Thank you, Walgreens, you have me as a customer :-) read more

Walgreen is not my pharmacy of choice, but after last night, perhaps I should think of switching. At 6:30 p.m., my sister-in-law asked me to purchase an Ultra II San Disk 4GB memory card, as she needed it early this morning and had no access to a store that sold them. Not like we have memory cards lying around cuz we don't. CVS closes at 7 on Sunday and didn't have what she wanted, and Staples closed at 6 (but I didn't find out til I got there). I approached the door to Walgreen's at 6:56 (they close at 7 on Sunday, too, and you could see that the employees were antsy to close shop) and found exactly what I needed in less than a minute. Had I known even an hour before, I could have gone to Costco and gotten TWO for the price I paid for ONE. Oh, well. As long as I found what she needed. Three stars, cuz it's only a drug store. read more

I live in Westford and I used to use the Rite Aid there as my pharmacy. About a year ago when it closed I was forced to move to the Walgreens in Westford. I went there for about 5 months and never had a good experience, there was always a long line and the employees were very rude there and did not seem to be sympathetic to those of us that had been forced to come there since the Rite Aid closed. Eventually I decided to use the Walgreens in Chelmsford because it was just as close to my house and I was not very happy with the service in Westford. The pharmacy at the Chelmsford Walgreens has done a great job. They are extremely polite and genuinely work to fix any issues you may be having. I had lost part of my prescription and they gave me a number to call however I did not have some of the information I needed that the help line asked for over the phone. I called the Chelmsford Walgreens back and explained I wasn't able to make it through to someone on the helpline and the lady did the entire thing for me herself and was completely happy doing it. They also fill your prescriptions very fast compared to Westford and are easy to work with. If you are unhappy with your current Walgreens or other pharmacy the Chelmsford location has great service! read more

Today my sister came here to fill a prescription for pain medicine after a major surgery. When she walked up to the counter and handed the woman her prescription (given to her and signed by a medical doctor at Mass Gen the day before), the woman immediately began questioning her. She first asked for her discharge papers and her driver's license. When has anyone ever been asked for discharge papers when filling a prescription? She then proceeded to ask her what she needed the medication for. When my sister told her she was just released from the hospital after surgery, the woman asked her what kind of surgery. My sister told her if she has a problem, she can call her doctor. The woman said she will call her doctor (on a Saturday night at 5:00pm) to see that she isn't lying. When the woman finally reached the doctor (this is all while a line of people is building up behind her and listening to this ridiculously private conversation), she asked him a few questions, hung up the phone, and said "I am not satisfied with his answer, I still think you are lying. I can only give you 10 because it is the law". My sister was prescribed 30 BY HER DOCTOR, and there is no such law in Massachusetts. Finally, my sister decides to pacify the woman and take the ten and leave. She was also picking up a prescription for antibiotics, and went to leave when the woman asked for a $75 deductible for the medication. She does not have the money for this but paid it because she was so shaken and wanted to leave. She went back to her car to my 75 year old mother and proceeded to have a panic attack while trying to tell my mother the story. Needless to say, my mother went inside and gave the woman a piece of her mind. The woman then told her "oh, well I can give her the generic brand, the copay is only $4 on that." This woman completely took advantage of my sister after having a major surgery, and no one should have been treated the way she was. This woman should be fired immediately and Walgreens should be sure they don't hire such insensitive and unprofessional people. read more
