There is a specific section to drop your sections off, the sales associate scans your item, takes your phone number and BAM you're done. Easy Peasy lemon squeezy. At 9:25 am, I was waiting in line at the Cheverly, MD Walgreens for a scheduled immunization (I had an appointment and I was early). Four people were waiting for vaccinations when the clerk announced that there may be a long delay because the pharmacist was not there. What??? Then the pharmacist arrives, tells the cashier to go home, and closes the clinic without any explanation to the waiting customers, other than "I have things to do." Hmm, so do we, I thought. I started filming her because the pharmacist was incredibly rude to the cashier--I was shocked. Walgreens should consider sending an evaluator to assess this pharmacy and its management. read more

Just had an encounter with a very rude worker. A short lady with glasses at the register was very rude while I was showing her an email I received about a fedex package. She was cutting me off while I was talking and everything. If you hate your job then quit. Don't be rude to customers. The email says that you can show your mobile code and they would print the label. Revamp the employees because they have bad attitudes and clearly don't want to be there. Smh I hate that especially when I'm being respectful to you. read more

I wish this Walgreen's was closer to home. It's not far from my workplace, but in the opposite direction. They have good deals when you use your balance rewards card. The only thing I don't like, like Rite-Aid is that when they have a 2/$xx. sale, you must buy two to get the sale price. CVS doesn't make you do this, and they are right next door! Take about competition. The only reason for not being 'As good as it gets' is that this Walgreen's doesn't hold a candle to the one in Chinatown. The cashier was super friendly and pleasant. Apparently I did not read the reviews before taking my prescriptions here to be filled. Today, I dropped off two prescriptions to be filled. I can back hours later and was given one. Pharmacy staff is extremely unprofessional. I walk in to pick my prescriptions up because there was a sign on the drive thru window to come inside because their system was down. When I walk in no employees greet me and I see the checkout line has 15 people but only one cashier. I walk to the back the pharmacy staff is giggling with each other on their phones. I get halfway to the desk all of sudden the gate is closing and one of the pharmacist states to come back in the morning. Why are you closing two hours early when the sign states to come inside and your servicing a customer at the desk!!!!!!!Why rush to not help a customer but you have all the time in the world to chat with your coworkers. I am getting my prescriptions switched from this location as soon as possible. I don't have the time or patience to engage with such ignorance especially regarding individuals prescriptions. read more

FIND ANOTHER PHARMACY!!! This review is specifically related to a particular tech in the pharmacy. HE (a black man with locs) is the rudest, seemingly unhappy, and least helpful employee I have encountered at any establishment. On more than one occasion, I have been on the receiving end of his nasty attitude and demeanor. If he does not want to work there he needs to find another profession. He treated my daughter with the same disrespect when she picked up her prescription (huffing and puffing when she gave her name). I guess he was tired of hearing her name after trying to clarify her prescription for 3 days. Both of us were nothing but polite. I vow to make it my mission to put him out there and notify his superior (everybody has one) about his awful attitude. I'm sure I am not the only one who has had to deal with this person. Pharmacy is never staffed to handle the volume of customers at this location. On top of that, the staff is usually extremely rude, there is absolutely no haste to help anyone in a timely manner making customers who need medication, wait a a ridiculous amount of time. No one greets you, you just have to assume they are ready to help you. If you have to get prescriptions filled here just set your expectations of speedy and friendly service very very low. read more

Today was the very first time I've ever been to this store. I don't live extremely close but their pharmacy had a medication that my normal one had sold out of. I was feeling poorly and had gone through the trouble to switch my prescription to here and drive over hoping they had filled it by the time I arrived. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was how clean and bright the store was. The second was how helpful the staff were. I think they could tell I wasn't at my best, but I was helped with my questions, served quickly with smiles, and was able to leave having completed my mission. I like to acknowledge when I have had great service so thank you everybody (cashiers, floor staff, and pharmacy) for making me smile and feel blessed even though I wasn't feeling great. Security guard refuses to wear a mask. I've been in this location several times and he has not been wearing one. I don't need to explain why everyone needs to be masked in a PHARMACY. This was the third or fourth time I've gone in and seen him maskless and the second time I've confronted him. He refuses to wear a mask and that is insane. I was in there about ten minutes ago. Why or why do I still give them a chance. This store has no good customer service skills. I use this store to pick up my pics I order on line for developing. The last time was on Thursday, August 31. Received a message that I could pick up my 10 pics any time after 4:30 p.m. By the time I reached the store it 5 p.m. Walked in the store and was looking a particular juice. They didn't carry the juice, so I went to the counter to pick up the pics. At the counter there was a sign on a terminal saying "cash only". Seeing that sign I assumed that it was just for that terminal - NO. I told them I was here to pic up my pics and that I had a debit card. The young man, told me that they were only taking "cash only" through out the store and for me to come back later. I told him that I would not returning.I walked out thinking why wasn't a sign on the entry door letting customers know that? The incident before that was when we had a UPS package delivered to the store. I called Walgreen before going to ask were in the store did I need to go to retrieve my package. I was giving the instructions which we followed when getting into the store. My husband gave his ID to a staff member to go and retrieve the package. The worker comes back to say our package had not arrived, since it most had been shipped by ground delivery Again, come back, there famous words. I asked a young lady behind the counter, if someone could call us to let us know it had arrived. She shouted to us NO!!! So we left out of the store. Before we could get the car door open, a plain truck drove up and a UPS man jumped out. He had our package and we took and left. The entire transaction was going on in front of the store, there was no one from the store to alert us to his arrival, just in case we were leaving out the parking lot. There are numerous incidents with this location. I will now have to drive to Bowie, to get my pics and get other items I may need. This Cheverly location needs to have a class in customer service. I think they forgot they are their to assist customers. This must have got lost in the new hire orientation. read more

I was looking for the Sally Hansens miracle gel polish which is $9.99 each. The senior beauty consultant said that they no longer carry it but they had some on clearance for $2.50 each. I ran to the clearance section!! I ended up getting 5 polishes and what made it even better, the consultant had $1 off coupons for the polish so I bought each polish for $1.50!! What a steal!!! She was so friendly and gave me some of the coupons plus some free samples. I felt like today was my lucky day!! read more

I went to this walgreens for the first time and thought it was a great experience. The parking lot is nice. The pharmacy staff was nice. The pharmacist Qu (pronounced Q) was superb. I got a flu shot. They have a private area for immunizations which is nice. Q was very skilled and I literally didn't feel the pain of the needle at all. The experience impressed me because I have gone and received my flu shots at other places (other chains not walgreens) and definitely have felt the shot and had a very sore arm afterwards. To top it all off, she gave me a red W Band-Aid after it was all done. Though I didn't really need it. I plan to use this one next year. read more

The Employees Dont Know What There Doing In The Photo Department they give you random days of when you're photos are going to be ready then when you call they say oh no we're sorry it's going to take another seven days for your photo to be ready for the person should've told you that well they didn't and they could care less if it takes two weeks or three weeks I needed those photos for photography class and now I'm out of luck I Wish I could give them a half star read more

This location in cheverly is a ghetto hangout for employees especially around the front end of store, they say welcome to Walgreens when entering and then its hell afterwards; today a employee a short kid with a busch hair cut a goatee and a moe on his nose verbally insulted me to another guy in there that appeared to be security and the they both laughed, he is very rude not friendly or to whom he wants to speak to but will take your money at the register and not even great you; Ive been shopping at this store since it opened and its getting worse; the store manager needs to do pop up visits at this location to see the conduct of employees and even security......Nice store however its hood and Im gone back to CVS! read more
