First let me start off with the positives - the pharm techs were super friendly and answered all my questions... However during my pickup, the Asian pharmacist finished my order, and she was super rude. She didn't even take time to explain the medication to me, and when I asked about the price of the medication she got hostile toward to and barked 'what do you expect. Horrible service and inconvenient hours. Constantly out of medications that are medically necessary. Health compromised due to this and they can care less. Say they will call back and never do. Seek medications elsewhere. Also long lines and unfriendly workers not only at pharmacy but store checkout, want you to bag your purchases so they don't have to do it. read more

I've had nothing but problems with the Asian pharmacist working here. First of all she is very rude. My meds were always short by 2 or 3 pills so I had to have them count them in front of me. That passed her off so she called my doctor and screwed up all my meds. Do your self a favor and forget walgreens on belmont and oak park Ave. Management don't care and they run wild there. read more

Worst pharmacy I've ever worked with in 12 years of an illness. I don't know why I kept going back here for a few years when there hasn't been a single month that there hasn't been some kind of mistake, serious problem, or "system error" with a prescription. Pharmacists seem incredibly unhappy and are totally unhelpful. I have a strong feeling it is not the fault of the pharmacists at this location that the service is so abysmal; it seems like a management issue where this pharmacy is understaffed and everyone is terribly overworked. But, if you are someone whose life depends on medication (or someone who just doesn't like constant hassles), do yourself a huge favor and go to literally any Mariano's pharmacy. Compared to the staff at Walgreens, the Mariano's staff feels like working with cheerful NASA-level scientists, and bonus: Mariano's is actually clean. read more

Very Mediocre as this Walgreens. At most times they are out of whatever item is in the sale paper, by midweek and their checkout lines are not as fast as you'd think a Walgreens is. This location has a pharmacy, but they are just as slow if not as bad as the store itself. read more

receiving bad pain medication with horrific side effects. It's random it happened twice this year. what's worse is that they are labeling it according to the prescription but putting toxic pills in bottles. help please, im end stage and suffering. these pills make me freeze to death and then sweat to death at the same time. what the heck is going on? thank you in advance for review. Monica is by far the Most unprofessional Mangers i have ever encountered she has never greeted me Apologized for any inconveniences blames the customer and she will Argue with you her attitude & demeanor is not acceptable! I am tired of being treated like two different people by Walgreens all depending on whether I am buying or exchanging/returning something. This is not the first time I had an opportunity to deal with their return policy and their manager but previously I thought it was an isolated incident. But today they proved me wrong. Yesterday during my lunch hour I wash shopping at Walgreens and part of my purchase was 4 packs of cigarettes, and it wasn't until later that I realized that they had put regular (shorts) instead of 100's like I asked in the bag. So today I went to exchange them for the same brand and type just for the 100's (they were not open and I still had the receipt). The cash register person started the exchange process by scanning the ones I was returning and then scanning the correct 100's but had to stop because I had used coupons to buy them and he told me that the manager had to do that because he was not able to. After waiting for the manager for what seemed like forever she looked at the receipt as if looking for something and then stated that they can't exchange them because "I walked out of the store already with them" ?????? She proceeded to tell me that they have a no exchange / no return policy on cigarettes. That's a lie! I've had the same thing happen to me before at a different Walgreens and they exchanged it for the right ones without any problems. And if that's their policy why was the cash register employee not aware of it. Also, why did the manager look at the receipt prior to telling me that that's their "policy". There is nothing on the receipt that would alter their policy, is there? I know there is not returns on cigarettes but this no exchange is BS. But this is what it boils down to, whenever I buy something from Walgreens the employees could not be more helpful and cheery but if I happen to be returning something they become quiet, distant with a disapproving manner, and make you feel like you are doing something wrong. This is not the only store that I've encountered the cold managers making you feel like you have no right to change your mind and return something (with receipts and unopened/unused items). I've been coming to this Walgreens at least twice a week for a while now but after repeatedly being treated like this I'm going to give CVS a try because I'm just tired of their double standards. read more
