I had a recent experience with Walgreens that I want to share. We're grateful that they're open 24 seven however I arrived at the pharmacy today at 6:30. Their evening break starts at 6:45. It was 10 people in line and I waited 12 minutes. I'm not complaining about that however, when I stepped up to the counter, the young lady stated the person in front of me was the last one before our break. It was just me and an older lady roughly 80 years old left and the time was 643. When we talk about customer service this is exactly what we think about. I wouldn't even consider it going above and beyond to have given me and the lady behind us our prescriptions, but they did not in the pharmacist was right there. This is why folks are leaving Walgreens and even having it delivered or going to CVS. My tip, do better! read more

Pharmacy's Line is too long. The prescription is not ready! But they do not miss their breaks need more service oriented staff.

I walked in here because I needed an over the counter medicine. When I walked down to the pharmacy, I was shocked to see that the line for the pharmacist was an isle down. I think it would have been a 15-20 minute wait at least. So I just decided to get some snacks and left to go to another pharmacy. That's ridiculous to me, they need to get more staff. read more

The staff at the pharmacy is universally rude and incompetent. They have contempt for the customers and are totally unresponsive to customers both in person and over the phone. There are extensive delays and unnecessary in pharmacy long lines treated with cavalier indifference. Telephone calls are repeatedly placed on hold, whereupon when the phone reverts to the front counter, the entire dilatory process is repeated, as you are requested for the same info that you have already provided, and then relegated to the same waiting cyclical waiting cue without resolution. I have waited over a month for a script that had been called in that Walgreens repeatedly mishandled and attempted to wrongfully assign blame to my insurance provider. I returned to the pharmacy multiple times due to Walgreen's inept handling, as they never returned my call and made not good faith effort to provide any customer resolution. Walgren;s management and employees simply do not care. Do not patronize this pharmacy and simply find another place to fill your prescriptions. I wish I could give this location zero stars. Starting with their bad and holier-than-thou attitude. If you're not a black shopper, add blatant racism with glaring looks from the people behind the counter especially, at the pharmacy counter where weaves and talon nails reign supreme while they take no interest in doing their job. Zero efficiency! I will NEVER return to this location and it's no wonder even black folk prefer to do their business on white neighborhoods where they're treated with respect and kindness. I don't know who the manager is at this location, but whoever you are, you need a crash course in managing your employees and making sure everyone is doing their part. To be made to feel the way I did after walking in there for a prescription is just not worth the location's nearby convenience. I hate this store. The lines are always ridiculously long. It takes hours longer to fill a prescription here than at other pharmacies. For the number of customers in Hyde Park, the store should be twice as large with twice as many staff. read more

If I didn't have to leave a number at all I wouldn't! The number of bad reviews in comparison to the good speaks in volumes! I will say...when you are so insensitive that you play with someone's health it is wrong! I had been without my BP medication for over a week due to the pharmacy being temporarily closed. They never sent a message...I was trying to get my medicine and called corporate! Once I needed pain medicine and it took almost 3 days before it was filled. When it was ready I no longer needed it. I decided to deal with my pain. Some of the staff are very rude! This location went down. There use to be workers there that knew their customers by name and made you feel good even when sick. Just when you thought they couldn't get any worse. I went in at 10 pm to buy a gallon of milk. I took it to the register. They didn't find a barcode on it. They asked me to go get one with a barcode. None of them had barcodes. They couldn't just look the price up somewhere and sell it to me. There had to be a barcode. So I left without milk. A normal business that cares about customer service would make it possible to sell you a gallon of milk. You have to work at it to be this bad. read more

I had a very aggressive experience at this location...over a 10 cent bag. MAXWELL asked if I wanted a bag and I said "yes please". At the end of the transaction he didn't hand me one so I asked again. "Excuse me I did want a bag" He was immediately so aggressive the usual long line of customers and other employees started to watch. He said "No you didn't. You didn't ask. I don't play that. No you didn't" I literally looked around for security cause I thought he was having a breakdown. He was sweating and stuttering like someone tried to rob him at gunpoint. Eyes were a little red. He just kept repeating himself and refused to give me a bag. I know you have EAP benefits for your employees. Someone get that clown MAXWELL some help. And this is not the first time an employee here has started crashing out in front of customers but this is the worst I've seen. read more

I was in the Walgreens today to get my vaccination. I was at the window waiting for (Mir) to get through checking me in. He asked for my Drivers License, I gave it to him and he walked away to handle other things in the back. I was at the counter for 10 minutes. During that time, 3 customers came up to the window while I was waiting to give him papers, no one was practicing 6ft distance and there was no stickers on the floor for anyone. After the 3rd person walked up on me I finally asked (Mir) if he was going to address the customers about keeping a 6 ft distance? His reply, "I'm sorry there is nothing I can do." I suggested to tell the customers to please wait in line while finishing with me. His reply was there's nothing I can do when they just come up, sorry. No eye contact and refused to acknowledge the problem or solve it. So I asked to speak to the manager. Jason the store Manager acknowledged there was a lack of Covid protocols and he immediately went to the back to get 6ft floor stickers to put on the floor & immediately people were standing 6 feet apart and no one was traveling up to the window while other customers were up there, they waited in line. I took before and after images to show the difference. So the problem I addressed and gave a solution to for (Mir) which was ignored was immediately fixed by the manager. Before I left the counter to wait to get my vaccine I asked (Mir) if I was getting my Drivers License back? He said I don't see it anywhere and I'm sure I placed it on the counter. Mind you he walked away from the counter twice and I informed him that I understand you were busy juggling multiple things but you did not give me my ID back. I checked my wallet and pockets several times but in the end he insisted he gave it to me. I had the manager check the cameras but he said the angle was bad and you can't really see anything. So instead of getting just a vaccine I'm put in more harms way because I now have to go inside the grocery store to get food since they check your idea for curbside pick up. The manager said he would call if they find anything but (Mir's) lack of care was very adamant and he should not be interacting with customers. But, this is Walgreens and we are in over a Year of the pandemic, you would think that Walgreens would be on top of ensuring the customers follow the 6ft mandate. Other places the employees will immediately address a customer if they are wearing their mask wrong. But (Mir) is either afraid or lacks customer service skills to enforce that, shame on him. I guess if I end up getting sick while waiting to get a vaccine and end up in the hospital I'll just get a disingenuous sorry from him. Don't expect them to ever refill your prescription on time even when they say they put it through. Then expect the store manager to catch an attitude with you because they screwed up and now want you to wait even longer to get your medication that has run out. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Not only are the staff lazy and borderline incompetent, they will lie to your face when they tell you your prescription will be ready by a certain time. God forbid you ask them for advice or help in understanding your medication or dosage--they treat you worse than dirt. The only thing they're prompt about is taking their breaks. All aboard the Hot Mess Express. The pharmacy is a disaster. The staff is nice enough, that's not the problem. One will refill a prescription over the phone, arrive to pick it up at the agreed upon time, and subsequently be told they have run out of said prescription. So back you come the next day to pick it up, but not before standing in line another 15 minutes. Or today's special, which is refilling a prescription over the phone, arriving at agreed upon time to pick it up, and have to wait. I'm going on 30 minutes here. There's a row in the parking lot for 30-minute parking. I always try to snag one of those spots for the proximity to the door and the convenience of transporting my infant. Why bother? No matter how little I need from here, the lines and the small amount of people working the counter cause me to usually stay at least 30 minutes. The pharmacy texts updates that prescriptions are ready and frequently remind you that you haven't picked up a prescription. It's a hit or miss depending on what you're looking for. Lines can be long, but it's not the staff's fault. Like many places, they're understaffed and doing the best that they can, all while dealing with whiny entitled customers. I mean it's simple, just go to another one. read more

This location NEVER has the food , paper goods, or sanitizing items that they advertise in their weekly circular. No matter what time or day that you go they have nothing. They will offer a raincheck, if requested, but the product never comes in. Rainchecks reach expiration and the product never comes in. Today 08.30.20 they advertised Microban , 2 varieties, did not have a single piece in their inventory or on the shelves. CVS on 53rd St rarely is out of advertised items and you are always cheerfully greeted and offered assistance when you arrive there. read more

They have a convenient option whereby you can refill a prescription on the phone, come in a day later, wait in line for ten minutes, and be told that once again they are out of the medication in question and that it has been back-ordered and will be available the day after you're scheduled to leave town on vacation. Attempts to rectify the situation on the phone enable you to listen to a great deal of apposite pop music choices while on hold for a long time; the first one I encountered was a country song that began "We've fallen down again." I'll say. Fortunately for me, the stuff I take isn't mission-critical. I expect they're more vigilant about substances that are necessary to maintain life. Went today to get CoVid Booster. I had registered online and received confirmation. I They do not follow CoVid Protocol at all!!!!! I was rudely greeted with so you want something I replied I'm here for CoVid Booster and the woman ( who actually gives the shot) waved me toward a group of chairs. Later I find out I was supposed to get in line for the pharmacy . Needless to say I spent a half hour waiting when I could have been taken right away if she had been courteous and clear on her instructions! I now stand in line get to the counter where a young woman asks my name and I told her I have a confirmation code which she didn't look at and instead took her time putting info in! It would have been so much easier if they just put a sign indicating to register at the pharmacy... I felt humiliated invisible and treated as though I was stupid!!!
