Apparently, I should have checked the ratings on this place sooner. It would have confirmed what I've suspected for some time. The service is clearly substandard. The counter staff are angry, rude and unprofessional. The pharmacist has questionable competence. How do I know? They sent me home with the wrong medication my last trip. And apparently, they don't know that when they sell injectable medication, they need to sell the implements with which to inject the medicine. I'd avoid this place. read more

This is my local pharmacy and I have never been happier with a pharmacy. They are punctual, keep their promise on their time quotes, and usually professional except for one person. They always pick up the phone and the wait in the drive thru is the fastest I have seen at any pharmacy. The buildings falling apart, it sucks, I drive a quiet car and still have to turn it off to hear the pharmacist scream through the drawer because the mic/speaker don't work. Was in the middle of getting prescriptions filled and they cut us off and said they were going on lunch break and to come back in about an hour. It was ironic because my fiancé and I both had the same prescriptions submitted at the same time from the same place. But yet only her prescriptions were done even though they were both express pay / pre-paid. And yet they told me this while I was sitting there at the drive through window, just handed my fiancé her medication, then they basically start locking up the windows and everything and said sorry you'll have to come back later...... I have the flu... I am sick as hell... it was already a chore just to get to a doctor and then drive across town to finally get a prescription?!?!? It's not enough that the place has crawling bugs, they have to treat the customer like one. They can't even refill your prescription nor inform you about it when they know your life depends on it. Ordered photos to include with gifts to bring some cheer to an elderly aunt. I was on my way to mail them, so paid and left before realizing the quality was horrible and on numerous photos, the heads of people were cut off! Of course I'll take them back and get a refund, but now I've lot two days in getting them in the mail, plus the time spent going to the store and then back to the post office. It's hard to think this kind of sloppy work is acceptable, even if it's extra busy during the holidays. I'm very bummed and don't plan to go to Walgreen's at all any more. I'm not taking the time to post photos here, but believe me, you don't want to see pictures of my sweet old grandmother with no head. Or my teenage sis with no head. Or my husband - headless. The store was very clean, and I was able to find what I needed. However, the customer service was terrible. I was waited on by a female cashier that he no personality whatsoever. I attempted to pay for 4 items with my debit card, but the chip and swiper wouldn't read it. After inserting the chip, she said "please swipe." After that didn't work, she said, "now insert." This went back and forth several times, until I asked if she could punch in the number. She said, "no. Please swipe." So, we did that dance a few more times. I started as the only one in line, but now there were 5 impatient people behind me. I could see my car outside, and said, "I'll go grab some cash." The lady said, "you're going to the end of the line." I again asked her to punch the number in, and she refused. For the third time, she did the "swipe/insert" method to no avail. I said, "I have some cash in my car, it'll take 30 seconds." She didn't say a word, she just took my 4 items out of the plastic bag, sat them on the counter, looked at me for about 3 seconds, then turned to the next guy in line and said, "will that be all?" I moved the items to a shelf, grabbed my cash, and walked back in just as another cashier came up to help with the line. I was second in line, and out of curiosity I tried my debit card. It wouldn't scan, so the new, friendly cashier punched in the numbers as a credit card. Cha-Ching! Took a grand total of 1 minute at the second register. All told the original cashier wasted 5-10 minutes of my time, all because she doesn't know how to work the register. read more

I receive automatic reminders to refill my prescription. Great system. So I always refill online via my phone. Great system. I typically receive an email AND a text when my prescription is ready. So far so good, still a great system. Then I go to my Walgreens pharmacy in Coppell, only to find out the prescription is not ready and I have to wait for them to fill it. And they are busy. I'm completely deflated and as I wait around for my meds I can't help but wonder... what's the point of all this technology if in the end it makes zero difference. (Oh and no apology or explanation. My first complaint is it's not a 24 hours store, and they do not open until 8AM. Truly horrible customer service. They will text you your medicine is ready when it actually isn't, they are understaffed and it takes an unreasonable amount of time to give you your medicine at the window when it finally is ready, and medicine is extremely expensive here. You can find lower prices and better service at different pharmacies. I have used this pharmacy for years but the quality has declined to the point in which I swear I will never again use them to get my medicine. read more

If you call the pharmacy expect to be put on hold. If you call anywhere near their lunch break don't expect an answer. Oh, and if you get put hold for half an hour and get hung up on don't be surprised. One of these things happens to me every single time. Guys, the Walgreens Pharmacy is awesome. Why? Because I'm going to second Neha M's review. The pharmacists are always happy and smiling here. Walgreens is also super diligent at notifying you on whether you want to refill your prescription, either via text message, email, or their smartphone app. After you refill, they are so stinkin' fast at having my prescription ready that the drive-thru pick-up is a breeze (sometimes my pills are ready in an hour, so it's a quick errand after work). The pharmacy at this location is pathetic. I waited in the drive through (which I thought was for quick pick ups and drop offs) for 30 minutes. The gentleman in the 2nd lane was picking up 10 different prescriptions. 1. Those situations should be handled inside 2. This pharmacy is slow. Granted, most are, but I get prescriptions filled here frequently and it doesn't matter if I drive through or go inside, if it's been called in or I drop it off and wait. I've never had problems getting what I need filled and they are usually kind and helpful but just so so slow. If you plan to fill here, don't expect to do so in a hurry. read more

I understand working at a pharmacy is tough and can be a difficult job, but I have tried and tried with this pharmacy and I am out of patience. I believe the poor customer service has been with two of the pharmacy technicians that are employed there- so I can't blame the whole staff but IT IS BAD. They have given me the "run-around" and sometimes untruthful answers. If I do go back, I will unfortunately ask to work directly with the head pharmacist on staff. read more

I have been driving (out of my way) to pick up prescriptions from this location for almost 2 years now. I have experienced some issues with my prescription between the end of 2015 until the middle of last year but non since then, well up until recently. Since I've experienced the same issue before, I contacted the pharmacy just like I have in the past to get it resolved however this time, instead of actually being helped I get interrupted on the telephone multiple times and treated with HORRIBLE customer service. I've had to shell out close to $100 within the past 6 months on a prescription that is supposed to be FREE because the pharmacy did not pay attention to my doctors written orders on my prescription. I've also noticed within the past few months that the customer service in the pharmacy department has declined which is sad because a few of them used to be super nice. Maybe I just keep getting them on days when they're not having a good day? Who knows. I am currently getting my prescription transferred to a new pharmacy and will not be choosing Walgreens again. read more

I typically have no problem here, the last two times I've been here I have been here for 20 minutes, first just to drop off a prescription and second time to pick up a prescription I get every month, they help people who get there after you.
