The store is organized and it is easy to locate things. Staff are friendly. I love checking out the seasonal items whenever I do stop in. The pharmacy is BUSY. Be prepared to wait. However, the pharmacy techs here are amazing. There's one who always remembers my name whenever I stop by. I know personally that he and the other techs try their best to make sure the medications are run properly through insurance. I appreciate their work so much. read more

I am having trouble getting my prescriptions filled more often than not. I call it in, they fill it and call to say come and pick it up, and if I don't get there fast enough they give it away to others and call and tell me it's out of stock. This time I called to check status on my prescription and it said it was ready for pickup and indicated it was the full amount I needed. I am presently getting ready to transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy that is NOT Walgreens. Word to the Wise: if you continue to use Walgreens and they call you to come pick up your prescription, drop everything you're doing and get over there ASAP and pick it up before it's gone. No customer service, could stand for 10 minutes in front of a clerk with no interaction. They'll make eye contact but no interaction. Pharmacy staff are particularly rude. I understand being busy, but simple acknowledgement is not that hard. They rely heavily on their IT services, which are never working properly. From refills, insurance and appointments, plan on an extended visit as it will always take longer than expected. read more

The store is great, they have a great selection of items and their prices are reasonable. However, Walgreen's has the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with! It's difficult getting my prescriptions filled for one reason or another. And I usually have to sit in the drive through for sometimes up to an hour (it's just as long a wait going inside). Then they close up shop for days at a time and if I'm in need of a prescription, I have to go to another pharmacy. My insurance only covers a couple of pharmacies in my town. And their pharmacy tech staff are very rude. Walgreen's pharmacy is highly NOT recommended! read more

This review is about the pharmacy only. Being to Cottage Grove, Mn. I need to find somewhere to get my prescriptions sent to so, of course i'm looking for prices. I talked to Walmart, Hyvee, CVS, and Target. One of the questions was what is the final price with goodRx because i don't have insurance at this time and will be paying cash. The rest all took the time to look it up and we're accommodating, beyond the norm. However The Walgreens employee was seemingly bothered that I even called.The sigh of frustration I heard was all I needed. I said have a good day. I've been having a prescription filled at this Walgreens for over 20 years with no problem. The last time I called for a refill; they tell me they are out of stock until October. I called several other competing pharmacies who "aren't" out of stock and have "no shortage." My only reason for staying with this Walgreens is that I'm handicap and their drive through makes it easier for my partner to pick up my prescriptions. read more

This Walgreens has never messed up any of my prescriptions. They call me and let me know if there are problems with refills or my insurance. They call me when my prescriptions are ready. The pharmacy staff asks if I want to speak to a pharmacist, but I have yet to really have the need to do so. The store is like every other Walgreens. They have a photo kiosk that isn't usually too busy, and is easy to use, although the employees during the day can help you with it if you need. They carry an amazing assortment of items for the size store that they are. I mean, I've gotten everything from an emergency iPhone charger to an emergency jar of spaghetti sauce there. (Don't judge, like you've never had a spaghetti emergency?) They have a drive through window. They have a Redbox machine. read more

Every time I need a prescription I have to wait 20 mins for it to be ready and that's after I waited 30 mins after I left the doctor I swear they only put it together once I get there why not be ahead of the ball and when you get a new prescription put it together right away?! They aren't even busy no line nothing and boom gotta wait 20 mins because they are "still working it" what were you doing for the last 30 mins?? read more

I went here first thing in the morning to fill one of my daughters prescriptions. I went through the drive through to drop it off and was told it would take twenty minutes. I went inside to browse the selection and found it to be a run of the mill Walgreens. They all look very similar. My only gripe was we had to check out at the photo counter which I did not understand. Then the woman was a little rude when I told her I needed an item from behind the traditional counter. They have a Redbox outside and are a pretty good store. read more

Two thumbs up for Cottage Grove MN, Walgreens they have filled my prescriptions quickly over the phone. Not all Walgreen Stores operate the same, I travel a lot and had GREAT service at Walgreens in Torrance CA, Cottage Grove MN, and Rice Lake WI. And terrible service at Walgreens in Stillwater MN. Had such a bad time at CVS in Rancho Palos Verdes CA that I won't even step into a CVS store again. Thanks for excellent service Walgreens Cottage Grove MN. read more

After waiting for the cashier to ring up the person in front of me for 5 min, she had to fix something that rang up wrong, the lady rang up my order. She was nice and asked me if I wanted to use points and I said sure. The items rang up over $38 and with points it came to $35. Which still seemed high for what I had in my cart. After several attempts, to use the chip reader on my Visa Debit card the cashier pushed the card hard into the chip reader and the system finally worked. Before leaving the parking lot, I checked my bill and the Truvia had been charged at $4.79 instead of the add price of $2.99. The cashier had no add so sent me to the photo counter for the refund. Once again the chip reader didn't work, the manager was called and she said it didn't work because I used points and gave me a credit card for Walgreens with $1.80 on it. Great who ever remembers to use a card with $1.80 on it. The main manager was then called and he apologized but could only offer to wring up my items again. What a total rip off! read more
