called before the doctor sent I've the script they said they had enough to fill the script when i arrived they did not have the script

My son left behind his communication device (he's autistic). An employee took it upon herself to keep it (it works through an ipad). Turned off the locator and everything, ignored the contact info, ignored the apps that said AUTISM right on them. Luckily I had it uploading stuff in the background and was able to track her down. Called corporate, because it sounded like the store was complicit in 'lost' items going missing. In fact, the store told me, "We never get expensive items in the lost and found". Of course not -- your employees don't put them there, they take them home! You really want to tell me NO ONE EVER LOST A PHONE OR MP3 PLAYER OR ANYTHING? I don't believe it. Store manager sent me a casual letter saying she had been spoken to, and gave me a whopping $25 gift card. Sure I got the device back (damaged), but he was without it for a month. $25 and a talking-to? Seriously? Worse, not once in the letter did it say, "I am sorry. She is sorry. We are sorry. We apologize." Nothing like that at all. No one is sorry, not one bit. Now, my son is on a lot of medication, and I am on a bit too (asthma). With a family of five, we have well over $1000 a month in medications there. How could I possibly fill my prescriptions there in a place that condones robbing from customers? I really don't feel like counting pills every time I get something filled. I'll go elsewhere. The pharmacy department was really nice and helpful, but at the end of the day, it's managed by someone who admitted he knew the thief for 11 years, so as you can imagine, she could do no wrong. EVEN THOUGH SHE ADMITTED TO THE POLICE SHE HAD IT (and turned it in to them, I have the police report). Way to go Walgreens. Not even an apology. $25 to somehow feel better. $25 is actually more insulting than nothing. read more

I scheduled a Covid test for Saturday, and apparently they no longer work on Saturdays. Someone didn't update the system, so they let me schedule an appointment on a day no one is working, which wasted my time because Dubuque is quite out of the way for me. I'm not happy. read more

Walgreens pharmacy seems to get slower every time I have a prescription filled. I was out and about running errands. One of the errands was to drop off a prescription. When asked when I wanted to pick it up, I asked if it would be ready in an hour as I had about an hour worth of errands to run. She informed me that would be plenty of time and it would be ready for pick up within an hour. One hour and fifteen minutes later, I returned. I waited in line for 15 minutes. When it was my turn at the counter, I was told that my prescription had not been filled yet. This is the second time in a few months that this has happened. I think I will be finding a new pharmacy to fill my prescriptions. read more

I was at walgreens to scan pictures for an estranged loved one eho im trying to reconnect with. Photo department worker Sam not only was helpful on teaching me how the photo scanner works, but he also was very helpful on informing me on the different sizes of pictures/how to edit them as well! They were particularly busy when i was there. But mr. Sam, their manager Dianna (such a professional & personable person) and photo department worker Logan were very curtious to alw as ys see if i needed help. They were even so kind to give me the sale that was going on th as t i didnt know about. Such kind people at walgreens read more

I usually have my prescriptions sent here for pickup. Two days ago I stopped by and they were out of what I needed. The young lady working the drive thru window called the other Walgreens in town but all were out. I was told they would order the drug and it would be available the next day after 2. Not great but ok. The next day I stopped again and no drug. This time, however, the woman working the window (an older woman) phoned the Mercy pharmacy and they had the drug. She had the pharmacist transfer the prescription and after a little drive I had my order. This woman was great - very helpful. read more

This place is aweful. Zero on customer service. I've been waiting for 30 minutes in line for my prescriptions. The employees move like slugs. The only thing keeping me here is the awesome smartphone app which provides easy Rx refilling read more

Can be busy, especially being near 2 ERs and clinics so everyone stops in with their new prescriptions. Great, friendly staff, very knowledgeable. It's not a fast food restaurant, so I don't expect things in 90 seconds during rush hour. I'd rather have my prescription correct and accurate than as fast as possible! They have a great sales and seasonal merchandise. The manager and staff are always very friendly. They have gone out of their way to make things work for me before. read more
